Well, "Howdy" almost neighbor! WTG at the garage sales. I never find good bargains like that. One of the best dressed women I know freely admits that most of her clothes and jewelry are from garage sales & thrift stores. She always looks fantastic. I think I lack the patience to "hunt'.

I'm going to see if DMother would like to ride around & look at the flowers, etc. She enjoys that.

Waving to Sunny! Hope your ddil feels better soon!

Editing to add: Why is it that typo's are apparent only after posting???

Pouring rain here too, but we need it so I won't complain. DH coming home this afternoon from week-long trip to WDC. He had a wonderful time and posted some beautiful pictures on FB and even made a short video and put it on You Tube. It was fun to share his trip with him from home.

Waving hi to everyone and echoing village happiness that Indiana is posting again.

Off to the adventures!

I am back from my walk it was awesome. I did not even need a coat! I saw a deer bedded down in the shade in someone's front yard too. I love seeing the trees in bloom now!

Hoping the rain stays south of us. H. is talking about going fishing today.
I've cleaned up the kitchen and it looks good.
So we are thinking that we picked the best weekend for the open house. Yea!

I had to include some shopping today even though I planned it for yesterday. Movin' kinda slow.

Picked up a new air cleaner for our bedroom and a set of filters. Picked up photos. Also a frame/mat for an 8x10 of the children/grandchildren (great-grands to my ddad) Thanksgiving family photo for my ddad's birthday (I'll type all the names and paste that onto the white mat for him). And a frame/mat for a 5x7 of the Christmas photo of everyone except HRH and me on the porch. I took 3 shots of that photo, and not one right, so HRH photoshop-ed them into one! (dstepson and WonderBoy made faces!)

Back home I've already framed the smaller and set it out in the LR. The larger I'll gift-wrap for my ddad, whose bday is coming up, and hide it. This way, no matter what comes up in our lives, at the moment others are ready to celebrate his bday, we will be, too, and there will be a present.

I decided I needed to follow through and get one task completely done, so I printed the names, affixed that (a touch of tape, but mostly pressed within the frame) to the mat, framed the 8x12 and wrapped the framed gift right down to bow and tag. I gave dd13 the task of hiding it in her room, so all my responsibility is done. Whether I get sick, forgetful or just wildly busy, ddad's birthday remembrance is ready.

Along the way I confirmed that I do have little-boy wrapping paper ready for WonderBoy's bday next.... check.
And all wrapping supplies put away. ... check.

A load of towels washed, dried and put away.

My ddad needs a different belt, so dd and I scoured his house and came away with 2 other choices, but I'll remember that if either older child asks what their grandfather wants for his bday I'll say a belt. There's one more closet that I neglected to check, though - maybe I can do that in the morning.

Thank you for the effort and time put in to make this forum work so well.

Every muscle in my body is screaming.....but it is a good kinda a hurtin' I put in more than 6 hours of hard labor to get the yard grass mowed, raked and spread in the garden. I appreciate being physically able to work this hard.

Baths are done. Tomorrow's LOL is started

Sweet Dreams to all

I'm glad Kally starting speaking up too!

Good day with the boys but I was exhausted. We did the bowling (I watched but even so my back is really acting up and I don't know why.) Then lunch, then drum lesson, then almost an hour at the park, returned the two ovens (and the Walmart didn't have another one, sigh..) and then dropped them at home.

Something is up with me so I napped for 2 hours after getting home. Have done nothing tonight which puts me behind for the rest of next week. Sigh.... Holy Week is always really busy even when I am not procrastinating.

Anyway, I'm going to clean up the kitchen now and then head to bed. Poor dh is overworked too but I don't think procrastination plays a roll. As a result, I'll have to do the driving tomorrow while he works in the car.

Hello. Our company has finally gone home, though the DGSs begged to stay. I've noticed DGSmiddle gets moody, he is really upset to leave us. Last time he wouldn't even look at us when he got settled in the car. I love that they want to be here, but it is hard on them and us when they leave.

Yesterday, after a very late night (morning actually) we had very busy day at fishing pier on nearby island (Dee will know where) and then up at one of the first beaches for picnic lunch and a bake in the sun. I used sunscreen at the beach but neglected it at the fishing pier and I got really red places not usually exposed, shoulders, ears, tops of feet. I didn't feel well as I went to bed, probably because of the sun.

Today we went back out to same island and went to the southern tip where the current and tide is rather wild. We had to be really careful with the little ones around the water. DGSs got in anyway and tried to fish too, but the current was too wild. Middle DGSon and I trudged up to the lighthouse museum and spent some time in there. We ate another picnic lunch. Back up to the fishing pier where we fed the fish our bait (!) and reeled in a few small throw-back fishes.

We had a grill dinner at DSiL's DSister's (she lives on this island) and dragged ourselves home all burned and tired. I've been using sunscreen 30 but appears it hasn't worked at all...and though I want the vit.E, we were too long in the sun without. It was too windy for umbrellas and sun was strong.

Anyway, it was a wonderful visit and I feel as if I've been on vacation. It was hard on DH and I, being out in the sun all those hours, and helping to carry all that fishing gear, towels, food, chairs with long long walks. DH can no longer get out of low beach chairs and he tumbled out once...but it was a ton of fun.

Again, I have a few big loads of towels and sheets to do, but I am so blessed my family wants to come spend time here. I have cuop and I'm thinking about Harriet's link, as I just got out of a soapy shower... the salt water burns and it's uncomfortable...so what do we do? ..my pillow is calling...

Just woke up from a nap. Not a very good time of day for a nap, but I just hit a wall & couldn't stay awake. I have clothes in the washer & dryer & right now & I Just.Don't.Care. Maybe I'll get ready for bed & see what happens.......

Kathryn, I'm glad I started posting too! You are a great group of women to hang out with. 8-)

Sweet dreams, all!
