Lunch is done and I have made my list of things to do tonight. I have to buy some white walking shoes, take out pork chops to thaw for DD's lunch Wednesday, put away laundry, and the usual things like cat care and shower. I get DD for 3 days this week while XDH is on a business trip. I survived spring break week with her, so I should be able to survive this. The only thing different is that I will need to make sure homework gets done.

Glad you are back so soon, Indiana! You actually made it home before I did.

We are back at home, now. It took 4 hours to drive down (no stops), 5 on the way back but that included one stop to buy the counter-top oven (it was at the first place we tried) and for gas and lunch. We made it to the last gas station in town selling gas for $1.219 per litre (roughly $4.75/gal.) By the time we finished lunch, it was up to $1.329/l so we saved almost $4 on our fill-up.

Dh drove the whole way so my in-box is down to 250 messages and I've sent off a lot of responses to people. Plus I wrote the prayers of the people for the main Easter service - the minister doesn't have to use it, but I was sending her all the things the children wanted to pray for and had in my head how to turn that wide selection of items into something that resembled a proper prayer so wrote it up myself. It is an intergenerational service so I had this idea that the kids might be more engaged if they had a part in the prayers.

I still have my whole Sunrise service to write - I've only done some of the exegesis and have reviewed my sermons from the previous two years. Loved both of them, so that's good. It beats re-reading them and commenting to myself, "What was I thinking?!!!"

Oh boy, Idiana, what an ordeal you've had. I'm glad it wasn't worse and you could come home. Did not know about using vaseline with lymph drainage!

Harriet, I'm so sorry you are feeling ill. I know how hard it must be for you to keep up with all that must be done. Wish I could help out!

We're just puttering around today. Dh is playing with the stones again. Dgs6 liked the specimen case dh made for his brother so much that he made one for him also. Now he's making two more for dgs10 and dgd10.

Guest bedrooms are spiffed up, dh is going to use rug scrubber on carpets Wed evening to make sure they are dry by Fri. I think I will get the curtains down in living room and dining room tomorrow. They are all wash and dryable so easy to do.

Watching the weather channel; looks like more stormy weather coming.

Soup for supper; I'm hungry, but I'm going to feed ddogs first. They told me a half hour ago they wanted to eat!

I'm off to the shoe store. I need to get New Balance walking shoes in white and some white sandals or flats. I have other things to do as well. It will probably be cereal tonight.

We are home too! Left AZ at 5 am Sunday, stayed the night in Barstow, CA and arrived home here at 2 pm. After 4 months it is good to be home again, but I sure do miss AZ. We love it - love it there. Said goodbye to Cowinkie and Sweetie on Friday night and will really miss them. We had some very very good times together in that 4 months. I can hardly wait for December so we can get back there!
Harriet and Indiana please get to feeling better soon - Please! I am sorry to read about your trials and tribulations.
A carful of things to put away, wash, dry, etc. awaits me. I need to get off my duff and go do it. Will feel much better when it is done. The older I get, the longer it takes.

We have new "works" for our master bedroom toilet thanks to dstepson. It sounds quite powerful and stops running quickly. He did the work while I slept under a fleece blanket on our bed!!! I had a vague realization a lot was going on, but kept zoning out. I did awaken before he left and thanked him. It so happened my ddad was still taking his nap the entire time dstepson was here, but knowing he was coming and realizing he was here checking on everything for a while gave me the confidence to sleep. Thankfully, the phone didn't ring the whole time.

So I did delegate in my sleep, Kally, lol.

Next up is supposed to be Desk Day. We'll see if I get a burst of energy, lol. It can wait a little.

I called and talked to all my grandboys. If I could harness that energy.

Indiana, so you drove yourself around all day?

Happy to hear Kathryn and Norma are both finished with driving and ready to settle in.

(((OKay))) Thank you for those sweet words. I don't know that I'm doing anything particularly well... I'm just doing whatever anyone asks for most days. Today, thank goodness, dparents do not need anything but REST. Ddad got home this afternoon. DH delivered the few items his mother needed from Wmart, and I actually lay down on the bed for about 30 minutes. I felt like I could sleep for 24 hours before I got there... but then suddenly, I couldn't sleep. That's probably a good thing, though -- maybe I'll sleep better tonight.

Oh, my, (((Indiana)))! (((BIG HUGS)))

Sending get well soon wishes to (((Harriet))) & (((Harmony))), too!

Waving to ALL!!!
Tomorrow is another day.
