I just finished writing the president's message to go into our annual meeting notification and I'm obviously running late this morning. OTOH, tonight starts Pesach, or Passover, and I am also making (some small) holiday preparations by boiling eggs for the seder. Unfortunately, I only had 20 eggs - the exact number I need but no allowance for extras, so I will ask dd to buy more today and boil.

DD came home last night from K-town - caught a ride with roommate and her friend N. Perhaps a step toward at least normalizing relations with the roommate. I suggested that we all five (me, dh, dd, roommate and friend) have Italian dinner and treated roommate and dfriend since they had bought gas. So we got home late - restaurant was very busy and slower service but always excellent meal.

I am working today of course - right after I shower and shave legs and get dressed and get to work.

Good morning Twins and all who follow me into the village.

Twins, I hope things are better between dd and her roommate, and that it stays that way. I know how awful it is to watch a daughter or granddaughter deal with these issues and you just feel helpless. Another person can't do much to change the situation but I know it means a lot, when they know they have your love and support to count on.

Today I need to buy groceries and also pjs for 5 of the grandkids. I have already bought for the younger 2 boys. I always buy them pjs for Easter and also for 1 of their Christmas gifts. Christmas 2010 I didn't buy them for the 2 older girls and one of them commented that I always do.

Guess I better get started..............

Lilac - what a great gift tradition to have! I like it so much that I think I will copy you. Although my efforts at finding children pj's has been less successful lately. HUM.....maybe I'm looking in the wrong places???

I'have been on schedule and on track this morning. I have 73 completed card to show for my efforts.

Later today I will make a trip to town and do a little shopping (mostly cold stuff). I must get the big marshmallows to make Easter hot rolls. I normally make regular hot rolls from scratch and put the marshmallows inside them but think i will use this recipe because my time on Sunday morning will be limited.

I'll bring DGS14 home with me (picking him from school). I'll order him and LO a pizza and pick it up on the way home. DH and I will eat Low Carb pizza for lunch today so we will have roast, beans, rice and salad for supper.

FNGang will be in our home tonight. BRIGHT IDEA just hit me!! I'll get some extra crescent rolls and make some for everyone tonight. My time at home will be limited before they arrive but the prep should be minimal so it should fit in that time slot and will make the house smell wonderful as they arrive. Win-win

Lilac that is a wonderful tradition of pjs for Easter and Christmas. As your dgdaughter mentioned it is something to look forward too.

My suite is nice and clean. They finished and I went through each room to put in its place anything that needed to be moved. They Are learning so it take less time each time.

I didn't keep my leg up long enough yesterday because I was puttering so it was very swollen last night. I am going to do more time elevating my leg today.

Harmony, why a bran cereal? HRH was a little concerned about that one. Otherwise, he thinks you are eating perfectly and planning perfectly, says "half-cooked" broccoli is exactly what he would do, and yes to rice but he personally doesn't go the route of the brown rice, which can sometimes have a very course texture. He says after having the eggs, see how you feel in case they cause a problem and you want to go easy on them, but probably fine, that a dr's diet won't help as much as your own trial and error. He says when are you bringing him some chicken stew? Anyway, glad you are keeping this at bay.

That's a nice PJ tradition, Lilac. I hope the couple can get good cooperation from the other man, give confidence to you and dh in the whole purchase thing, get it handled, and it can be off your mind.

I did not have a coughing fit through the night. That doesn't mean I slept without waking, LOL, but it was a relief. I will admit to popping a cough drop in the middle of the night just in case.

Yesterday's very careful healthy habits seem to have paid off with a loss of water weight that was making me uncomfortable, so I'm very happy about that.

Errands may coincide with some time HRH will have at home today. Today I need to pick up some things for my ddad, for HRH and for myself and therefore will need to visit both pharmacy 1 and pharmacy 2. I can make a run by the bank to accomplish a deposit, and will try to think of other errands - probably the healthy grocery.

I'm listening to my friend's Good Friday service since I can't go to the one in our community because of my music friend (who is claiming that she can't play in front of dh or I.) It is nice to be able to do so in casual clothes and wet hair! I'm also recording the service for my senior friend. My friend's techie guy has reworked the website a bit and now is starting the recording earlier and posting the bulletin online so I can follow the prayers.

Although, I do have to dry my hair and get the sheets out on the line to dry. It is far too cold to go out with wet hair.

My headache is back. Sigh.... It went away after the ultrasound on Wednesday and I thought it would be gone forever. No such luck - it came back last night and was still here this morning. I'll take something for it now.

I'm up kit. spiff done I loaded the dishes in the dishwasher while waiting for coffee to brew.
Going to do a couple of errands w/ dgd #1&#2 in a while today.
Store run & pick up an Rx and do lunch with them.
Dgd #1 wanted to sleep in but decided to come any way I was glad about that.
She's a teen and needs rest with the busy week they've had 9:45 is the pick up time for them.
I'll have to wake h. up as well so we can get there in time.

Dd said one year she could not find any on Sat. before Easter so this year she got 5 doz. ahead of time. We are going to her house on Sat. with froz. burittos and watching the grand kids color eggs. I did remember to give the kids their Easter things while they were here yesterday I was glad I did not forget. They went swimming again in the afternoon.

Every one is looking forward to warmer temps. next week here.

Good morning to everyone! I am sooo glad to be home today!!! As I posted in J&C, it will be another difficult weekend for us. DH's aunt passed away yesterday. The funeral is tomorrow.

However, that is not ALL my weekend will be about.
Tonight, ds and some friends are playing music at a local senior citizens' fundraiser.
Tomorrow, after the funeral, I am going to try very hard to go to a reception/going away party for dfriend's son who is soon leaving for Afghanistan.
In the meantime, I'd like to visit dparents, and I need to go to CVS and get a few more little goodies for ds/ddil/dgs2B's Easter basket. I would love to get in a walk for exercise, too, and I need to wash my hair.
And it would be sooo great if I could sorta catch up on the focus cleaning of master bedroom & bathroom.
Have some grades to post in computer, and I'd love to have time to read some just for fun, too.
* sigh * I doubt if I'll get all that accomplished.
And there's OKay w/73 cards already done. * sigh *

OTOH, I hate to admit this, but I think I REALLY needed my sleep this morning. I am just praying I do not end up in a YouTube video. Yesterday, for the first time in 29 years, I actually nodded off at my desk!!! Students were watching a video, I was grading papers, it was sooo dark and cloudy outside, and the next thing I knew, my pen snapped against the paper and I jumped/jerked myself awake. I don't think anyone would have noticed, except the boy who was sitting right in front of my desk caught me -- and I had just chastised HIM b/c HE had fallen asleep!!! Oh my.

Do y'all think I should delete this paragraph? I don't want any lurkers/guests to read this and get the wrong idea! Teachers get such a bad reputation these days. Normally, I am really doing a pretty excellent job, IMHO. This was a day when half the class was absent for some sort of field trip/tournament/competition and the video WAS literary related. * more sighs *

Kathryn, I neglected to tell you the other day that I was able to pick you and dh out of the group of singers in the video you shared. In a few frames, dh was just barely cut out of the picture beside you, but they got a nice shot of him in profile later. A very good video.

I don't play a musical instrument, but I don't believe you and dh would intimidate me if I did.

We had a surprise visit from an old friend of HRH and his wife. My ddad made the visit difficult, asking embarrassing questions he would never have asked when he was younger. The lady felt she had to answer for some reason, which made it worse (how old she is, do they make a lot of money, etc.). I feel like I am referee-ing when we have visitors lately, more than just enjoying the moment. Either we are trying to jockey around my ddad to find each other to talk, or we give up and let him dominate the conversation, which usually sends visitors scurrying pretty quick.
