Creativity involves imagination. It can been the arts (handwork, quilting, painting,or music) or anything else.
My current creativity currently is trash. I am getting pretty creative. I still need to take it down when no one is around. Every time I take it the Pat Benetar song "Shadow of the Night". Not the lyrics just the music.
I think I have trash down pat. The next thing will be boxes. I do all my shopping on line. I have 3 boxes to take down at 6 am. Two won't fit in the maintenance trash can so I'll put them next to the can and try to position the can so the boxes aren't noticeable.
At first I said I was being penalized and now I don't feel as penalized. There are others that have a hard time doing trash because they have walkers or canes. The door to the trash room is very heavy because it is a fire door.
The door to my suite is a fire door too so that is why I'm trying to get an automatic door opener for it. That battle is more important than my trash. I am picking my battles.
What is your creativity for today? It has to be more interesting than my creativity of trash.

Good Morning!
((((Indiana)))) You are an amazing woman! I love your sense of humor.
Sorry for the delay in answering yesterday question/comments about bar ditches. I just now got a chance to CUOP. I'm trusting in those that travel more than I do to answer correctly because I find myself astonished and wondering...but....but....but.... "Doesn't everyone have bar ditches????!!!!!"
Obviously I need to travel more.
Yes, bar ditches are the area running along the side of the roads that are shaped for drainage. They are usually steep on the sides. I refuse to mow them sideways because I am too much of a scarity cat that the tractor and/or mower will roll over. Although mowing them up/down also have their challenges too - last year I managed to wedge the zero turn mower in the bar ditch to the point that a couple of the wheels were hanging in mid air!
Yesterday shopping took longer than I had hoped. FIVE HOURS! Only 3 of them was actually pushing the carts around and the other 2 hours was travel and unloading. If I was a rich person I would hire someone to do shopping for me! I like to mow so maybe I ought to find someone who likes to shop and we could barter our time. I'll mow their yard and they can shop for me. Dream on!
But really.......wouldn't that be awesome?!

Re: Creative Saturday
Tomorrow BDay party is coming together nicely. I wanted to tackle baking/decorating their cake and even did preliminary research on decorating a Hunger Game cake (WOW!! there are some VERY talented people on the internet!) However, reality struck and I knew I wouldn't have the time to pull it off so I ended up making the decision to buy their BDay cakes. i was THRILLED when i saw a cake at WM bakery that reminded me of one of the Hunger Game themed cakes I had seen on the internet. I suspect DGS15 will be very happy when he sees it. I got a cookie cake for DGS17 because he doesn't care for cakes but he loves cookies.
before the sun was up this morning the spray rig pulled into the drive way. Thank goodness I was dressed to run out the door in an instant! I ran to unlock the gate so they could pull in. It is a TIGHT fit to get the rig through the 20' gate and I always hold my breathe each time. I took pictures of it as it was inching through the gate with thoughts of posting them here, however when I reviewed the pictures all that can be seen is 1/2 dozen tail lights in the dark because the sun wasn't up yet.

LOL......LO just woke up and went outside to give hugs to dogs. He ran back indoors and excitiedly exclaimed - " There is a big truck with a house on it in the pasture with Jack and Balaam!!" What LO was seeing was the semi truck that travels with the spray rig to refill it. I can't wait until he sees the spray rig and wonder how he will describe it.

Re: Creative Saturday
In our neck of the woods, evidently those who named them "ditches" eons ago obviously weren't very 'creative'.
Just had never heard the 'bar' part before. We learn something new here all the time. And certainly different things from different parts of our country and others.
Got up late today and have peeked on here to see if there's anything new from my Med Co or dh's employer benefits. Notta.
I'm dressed, bed made, bathroom cleaned, meds taken now on to a small breakfast. We've talked about going to IKEA today but it's supposed to storm. We definitely don't want to be on I-4 in a storm -right Sunny - Harmony?
My plan today is to get this bedroom CLEANED! Apron on and at the ready! We also have to get shower invitations done today so they can be mailed. Still waiting on word on where we can have it. Dh is supposed to find out later today.

Re: Creative Saturday
It is official I need to attend remedial wheelchair driving school. I managed to get my cord wrapped around one wheel and break. It is still wrapped around the wheel and will have to wait for maintenance Monday. Thankfully I have extra cords.
I didn't finish about being mean to my dniece. I started to explain when I said she is the one MT knows.
When her ddad was young he traveled with our dgrandparents for the summer. From the Grand Canyon he sent a post card that read. "I almost died." I almost fell off my mule going down into the canyon. From Lake Mead he sends "I almost died." The houseboat ran over my foot. A few days later - "I almost died." I fell in a cactus patch.
He sent many postcards like that over the summer. The last one was "I almost died." Our car ferry ran aground going to Alaska.
I'm waiting for Peapod to deliver groceries. After everything is put away I can make marinated vegetables for my lunches and focaccia.
OKay I'm gald I can make you smile.
Dee our area isn't creative either we call them ditches.

Good morning, Indiana, Dee and OKay. What a day, LO will have, OKay - won't he be amazed by what he sees?
I'm up and about - need to s2s and get ready to head out. Just realized the annual spring football training game is today so K-town will be crowded.
"See" you guys later!

Re: Creative Saturday
since last posted....
** breakfast cooked and served (bacon, eggs, grapes & banana). One of my favorite moments of the day. DH and I sit down and eat together 99.9% in the mornings.....the rest of the meals are sometimes not as synced.
** observed while LO worked and worked putting his shoes on front feet of one of the dogs (blue heeler). That dog deserves a medal. He just stood there patiently waiting for LO to finish.
** rescued same DDog because he wasn't having fun when LO decided to dress him by putting a cape on him.
** opened/shut gate for rig and truck after they finished. Gave Jack & Balaam a piece of bread for being good while so much was going on in "their" pastures.
** emptied trash compactor and put new bag in
** gathered all newspapers from this week and bagged them up for trash
** relocated both big pressure cookers (lonnng story why I have 2 big pressure cookers) to holding place until I have time to deal with them.
** answered email to fella ordering MPB equipment. Agreed on port forwarding sequence needed and firmed up plans to do install next weekend.

Re: Creative Saturday
Bs was up today so I took meds. for that and I'm going to take a walk in a bit to check and see where the yard sale is I saw a sign on my walking route yesterday.
So I'm going to be a bit creative with this! Weather maybe good enough to have h. grill something.
Coffee is brewing as I type. Now I'm having cocoa in my coffee for breakfast.
Last night got the correction made in the knitting I needed to do yea for a bit of forward progress. It's almost time to change colors again.
Yesterday while dgson did home work writing cursive; I told him how I used to have my kids write groc. lists for me as some pratice for that. While we chatted I chopped up dried apricots and mixed fruit together for trail mix for got coconut how ever. So will have to do a store run before I can finish that. The I'm going to think about mixing up a batch of cookies.
We tried some thing new for dinner and the green onions did not agree with either one of us in it we shared. So our creativity backfired on us I told h. he lost 5 lbs. probably due to frequent flier miles to the rest room! I just had gas & pain from it & could not get to sleep for a while
after going to bed.
Dgd calls corn muffins vanilla! So cute I'm thinking it's time to plant some squash and
pumpkins they can climb up and on the fence!
Udi's Gluten Free Foods going to check this out in a bit looks like Safeway has their products.

Re: Creative Saturday
I'm taking Jake for a walk. I'm just being too creative in the wrong places. I was creative in running myself over with my wheelchair, getting my oxygen cord wrapped around a wheel, just now I pulled the cord out of the connection that attaches to my concentrator and pulled the cord of my cannula away from the connection.
Too creative.
Too creative.
