Sunday PWYC
Simple title for today. I must have used all my creativeness yesterday.

Up and at 'em this morning!
I love getting things done early. My energy level just soars.

How is your day starting? Do you have plans for today?

Re: Sunday PWYC
Okay, I am stock-full of things going on today - was up early and am working on the computer now with annual meeting info for our treasurer. (I am writing him a script...and will meet with him this morning.
)
Later I need a trip to grocery for fruit and crackers for annual meeting (cheese already provided) and I will set up the food myself before the meeting, which begins at four. I am nervous about running this.
Also need to do some things around here to get ready for the coming busy week. I had a good time with dd yesterday - we went out for lunch together and she's been very sweet. And she now has boxes to begin packing (any bets as to whether she actually will?) and her new debit card. I suggested that she wash winter clothes before packing them.

Happy Earth Day!
Good morning, dear friends.
Dd13 is getting ready for SS. She is so torn about going, since it takes time from her precious visit with her nephews, but it's only 45 mins if she doesn't share brunch. I will drop her off and pick her up, and our church is just 5 mins from the house.
It is raining here, so our family certainly picked the right day for outdoor activities.
I felt a little stiff/painful upon awakening but it was all gone pretty quickly, so I guess yesterday's amazing athletics didn't take much of a toll!
Kally, I neglected to ask you if you had lurked long enough to have heard my advice on water a hundred times yet or not?
If it turned as unseasonably hot where you are as it did here, and for as long now, you could definitely be needing hydration as though it were June or July. Be hydrated! Be careful, too.

Harriet - your day with family was fun to read about!
Twins - YGG! Being President has a huge workload. Is it a time limited term?
Yesterday TADa's -
** Attentiveness training with instant reward was an amazing success! LO was hanging on my every word as he sought to be attentive so he could earn another Skiddle.
** All of the tomato seedlings are finally in the ground! After waiting a few days to see if they all survive the transplant, then I'll do a plant count.
** Another 10 rows of green beans planted.
** Gave new dog his first bath. Our other dog won't have ANYTHING to do with a bath so I was timid in attempting to bath this dog. However, he loved it and stood there quietly while a soaped, scrubbed and rinsed.
After church this morning, I'll turn my focus to BDay celebrations. I have basics started in all areas (food prep, chairs/tables prep, drink/ice prep, house picked up, etc) but need to finish them up so I can relax and enjoy the event instead of stressing about what isn't done.

Happy Earth Day.
Google's Doodle is very fitting for earth day and it is animated. So cool.
I was up in the middle of the night because I was so thirsty for some reason. I think I was breathing through my mouth. So I didn't get up in time for my "Shadow in the Night" run. That song still goes through my head when we go out when no one will be around.
I did well last night with lots of boxes and a bag of trash. I flattened all the boxes and had them tucked in the chair and one between my feet next to my big bottle of oxygen. Plus I had my blanket for my legs and Jake on a leash. It was interesting.
This week's deliveries were dill seed and my pretty red kid's shovel for winter. Since I'm restricted to shoveling snow with a pancake turner I decided that a kid's snow shovel will allow me to push the little bit of snow I need to move easily. I got a new popcorn popper. My current one is plastic and cracked. The new one is glass with a handle. Just perfect for the microwave. I love microwave popcorn. For some reason I don't like the taste of the oil used in the bags. I'll try it out tonight or this afternoon. Jake's e-collars came and finally my new vacuum. My old one is an upright and more than I need now that my suite is cleaned every other week. So I got a Bissell small light one.
They don't pack the boxes as is but add. One example is the vacuum. It came in it's decorative descriptive box. Then a stand corrugated brown box and I feel it could have shipped like that. But is came in a huge box with lots of brown paper stuffing. What a waste. The popper was the same way.
So I had plenty of boxes to take.
Harriet houseboats are flat bottom boats and you can rent them at Lake Mead to explore the lake. You can pull in anywhere for the night or during the day to explore. Since it is a man made lake there isn't the sand from erosion. So dbrother got his toes caught under the boat as he was guiding it in. He was standing on rock instead of sand. With sand they would have been protected.
MT wasn't here yesterday I hope we see her today.

Re: Sunday PWYC
Good morning all! We are having a cool, crisp, sunny day here in NE KS. My back is reminding me that it is still there, and not in a good way. It is a little better, just need to remember to "baby" it while getting enough stretching & exercise to help it heal. Like I said yesterday, some of you have bigger and more serious issues, so I don't mean to go on about mine.
Harriet, it's funny you should mention hydration. I was thinking yesterday that I have been slacking in that area. I do drink water, but lately I haven't been as thirsty & I know my water consumption has decreased. Yes,I do remember reading your gentle reminders.....
I enjoyed reading about your outing yesterday. Sounds like a great day. How old are your grandsons, if you don't mind saying? I love your names for them.
OKay, your garden must be huge. When I was growing up, we always had a large garden, so I know that getting the plants/seeds in the ground is just the beginning. Happy birthday to your dgs's. Here's hoping they (and you) enjoy the party.
Twins' Mom, I'm glad you had a good day with your dd. Nope, not betting as to whether or not she will pack early!
Hope your annual meeting goes well.
Indiana, sorry your clandestine trash run didn't happen. I'm sure you have a Plan B. Your popcorn popper sounds interesting. Do you use regular kernels in it?
Waving to everyone, have a great day!

Re: Sunday PWYC
Yesterday was quite busy in the afternoon in the morning I took my walk so I knew I'd be sure and get it in. Dgkids were here at noon an hour early so dd could do set up at the baby shower she was putting on for her inlaws.
It was nice 75* outside and warm. We goofed off here for a while dgkids got in trouble for picking my flowers bulbs tuilps and daffs. again! sigh
While h. was grilling lunch they were on the ladder by the play house they have been told not to move that ladder. I looked away and then the ladder was inside the play house. The older one got a time out for that then we put it away to remove that temptation. H. grilled our lunch we enjoyed the sun and played some kick ball with them. Headed to the park; dgson was too big for the stuff there so we left after a bit and went to a different one. He promptly climbed up the rock wall and sat on top of it chatting with a kid there. While dgd played on the equiptment.
Next the grands got out the ball we had brought and went on the bb court, the drinking fountain was not on yet so we had to get a beverage at the local Miccky D's texted dd and she came and picked up the kids there when she was done.
I forgot a few items so we went to the store as it was close by and I got those things and tomato plants for some digging adventures tomorrow when dgd comes over! We have seeds to plant as well.
I went to a yard sale yesterday got four books for $1.oo some author's I've been wanting to read James Patterson, Michael Crichton and others.
We told dd where we were going to church today said she was thinking of going there as well it's so handy for both of us in between our homes! Love that any way that's next up and the service is an hour later ten than we have been going so I have a bit more time today. So I can make this in to a book! LOL!
[Bs was up then down yesterday today it's better so that helps.]
Today it's supposed to be up to 83*-85* warmest weather we've had yet and are not used to it!

I moved a few topics. The linzer cookie recipe is now under Recipes - Cookies and the spaghetti sauce recipe is now under Recipes - Slow Cooker.
I hope this doesn't create confusion. I think it is easier to find recipes under the recipe topic.
