MOVIN' MONDAY

Post by DeeClutter »

What does it take to get you "movin"? I'm up and sort of 'at em' but need to shower, dress, etc. Have done a l**t for my PODA. Hopefully I can begin to chisel away at it. All is quiet here now -everyone has left for work/school. GD not so willingly. She spent the night Sat. at a friend's and supposedly did not sleep at all. Consequences came this morning when it took DD over 45 minutes to get her up and she was anything but 'cordial'. But it sure was a nice Sat/Sun. ;)

DS-A sent me a picture via text last evening -of the memorial stone in place for Zoe. Now I have to get my thinking cap back on and figure out how I did pictures before and post the last couple I have in Members Only. DH had said he stopped by to see it yesterday morning on his way to church and couldn't see very well after he left. DS-A said, "He cried? Dad doesn't cry." Oh no? Little does he know.

I don't believe I have anything on my plate today except to get some things done here. DD and I worked in the office quite a bit on Saturday and there's a vast improvement. I'm hoping to fairly finish that up today and be able to use that room as a 'staging' area for packing for home. DH already has quite a pile in the garage waiting to go in the car. Can't believe how much that man purchases during the winter to go north. :?

Good Morning!

the challenge....the possibility.....the unknown adventures awaiting - that is what motivates me to get movin' first thing in the mornings. :) Having the schedule with cards assigned to each time slot keeps me movin' forward during the day.

I just reviewed April goals and focuses and then reviewed the baby steps that will be done this week in an effort to achieve them. I like the way I'm tracking goal/focus now and ii is working well for me.

Dee, thanks for getting us started. I am lollygagging instead of getting ready for work. I don't want to go back to work today! Let me stay home with ddogs!

Meeting yesterday went very well - no issues, it was over in an hour and everyone stayed around for wine and cheese and visiting. And dh said I did a good job.

Anyway, I guess I should get on toward work. Cleaning lady comes today - I haven't cleaned up as much as I'd like, but it could be worse.

OKay, I wish I had your energy right now!

Hmmm... apparently it takes a LOT to get me up & at 'em.
Last night I just could NOT sleep. I was awake @ 2:00 a.m., reading the morning paper w/dh. Maybe I'll sleep tonight.
I know it was a combination of
1. too much nap time Sunday afternoon
2. too much caffeine probably @ supper & later
3. nerves from several areas...
-- dmil says she is going to ask dh's cousin, "Are they giving ddil a shower or not?" Which will sorta put dcousin on the spot and force her to organize or feel guilty about it...
As I've said before, the shower is a MAJOR anxiety-producer for me anyway, w/my social anxiety, and I think ddil feels about the same way... but OTOH, I think we definitely NEED to have one here -- they have one in her hometown next weekend; her family/church family here should be doing one also, don't y'all agree? But ooohhh... it makes me nervous.
-- back to school today and I have to make selections for next year's np staff, which is always troublesome for me... I'm losing 13 & have 19 wanting to join... yes, I could take them all, theoretically, but * whew * don't really want to... :? I've put it off about as long as I possibly can.
-- lots of school stuff to do and too little time to do it
-- thinking about my dparents' health concerns...
-- I'm even already nervous about Mother's Day/Father's Day celebrations coming up... dh's resistance to all things celebratory on Sundays...
And Aunt Flo just left, so it's not that. * sigh *

It's good school starts back, gives me somewhere else to focus my attention.

Ditto -- wish I had OKay's energy & focus...

Good morning to Twins, Dee, and OKay... and all who arrive later...
Tomorrow is another day.

Okay, some of us need you to share HOW you do what you DO in one of the other forums....can't think right at the moment where. But I'm sure someone will have it right off the top of their head.

I'm s2s, LOL going, made the bed and spent 10 minutes cleaning in the office. Have a whole l**t of things up with 10-minute time slots for each. Granted lots taking me a lot less than 10, but sometimes get 2 or 3 done in a 10-minute time period.

Haven't eaten breakfast yet so suppose that should come soon.

What do you do at work now, Twins?

Definitely much cooler here this morning -but far better than what they're getting up home. Haven't looked to see what Katherine's weather is yet.

I realized while s2s what I think is at the heart of my anxiety re: the shower.
I don't ever help give other people showers @ our church, b/c I just don't socialize with anyone -- the people I go to church with or anyone else, really...
so...
why SHOULD anyone want to give ddil a shower?
* sigh *
I guess I DO need to talk to my aunts & cousins... maybe reserve the church fellowship hall w/them as hostesses?
Tomorrow is another day.

Awwwhhh ....I don't deserve them, but I do thank YOU for the kind words!

I try to set high goals and keep expectations low. The system I use is a combination of SHE cards and MOTH (Managers of their homes). When I am not following it, then I'm the most unorganized, overwhelmed, non-motivated slug you have ever met. :)

Just a quick good morning. I am researching on the internet Mallard ducks and geese. My routines are finished for today.

(((Lynlee))) You had Elli for 5 years - that is a good, long life for a guinea pig. I remember you saying you were giving her extra cuddles after Henry died, and that must have done the trick to keep her happy and content for quite a while longer. It is tough to lose a long-time pet. Bless your heart.

lucylee, have you considered Saturday evening supper holiday get-togethers? Wouldn't that be just as nice, if planned in advance?

((Sunny's dgd)) for skinned kneecap!

OKay and Dee, maybe Cardfile Central? Party sounded wonderful, OKay.

btw, meant to say blessedw2 posted in Cardfile Central. She says her school year is over now and she is starting on volunteer work.

Movin' -
This may sound like I am preaching or something. But I am " movin' " best on a day when the previous day I checked off all my Healthy Habits.
I awaken without as much stiffness in my back.
I awaken without the puffy feelings that accompany too much sodium.
Alertness seems greater, energy up - not bleary.
I feel lighter because I've had water-laden fruits and vegetables in a good percentage of my diet.
And I feel lighter because I've met water-drinking goals without sugars.
I am (as our dear Harmony has advised me) "keeping things moving" in the TMI category :) .
Another important thing is that I have a general feeling of success in one area of life, so confidence others will follow.

Today it is an early Dr. appointment in the city to keep me moving. This time for ME!! It is finally time to find out what it going on with my knees. Sometimes they want to go backwards, a lot of time they ache and all the time they make it hard to get up off the floor. I know I'm getting old but the rest of my body feels good so what's with the knees.

As usual we will make this a big shopping trip with stopping at electronics store, home improvement and Habitat Re-store.

I will be dragging by the time we get home - so I'm hoping a stop at Subway will be supper.

See you all later.
