It's Friday Let's Conga

Post by Indiana »

Originally Conga was on Fridays to clean but now it is for any Friday activity to Conga through.

I don't have cleaning to do anymore but I can Conga through my other activities today. I have my best Carmen Miranda outfit on and I'm ready.

What are you congaing today?

Happy with new Dr. They called back quickly after I left a message. I am to quit taking the meds (DUH! I wasn't going to take them anymore!!) and continue with the therapy (Another DUH! why would I quit??) My knees are feeling better from the exercises. Therapist said as I strengthen the muscles and make the knees work properly, the pain will lessen. NOTHING will make it go away or stop the Uncle Arthur from progressing - but being stronger will help. (So will losing weight - but that's another whole story)

I am NOT happy with DH's Dr. They haven't returned my call from Monday and he doesn't work today - so they won't return it until next Monday at the earliest. I will let this one have it when they do return the call or we go in there - which ever is first. I would like to drop him, but we need to get our meds for the year first. It is too late in the year to start with a new Dr.

The sky is blue here again after yesterday's clouds and rain. We only got .15 inches. Back home we would call that a sprinkle. But it will be enough to make the weeds grow. We have to get out and spray some more and I have to get the yard raked.

I think it is time to start my count down to go lists. We still have a month but that will go by fast.

Time for breakfast and meds. And then wake DH for our walk.

It is quiet here. Everybody must be working hard.

After yesterday's events which were very unsettling to me, I couldn't sleep last night. I also couldn't make myself lay there in bed hour after hour so I finally got up and worked on my quilt. If I read or watch tv, I'll get sleepy. But I now know that the stitching keeps my mind fully engaged and does not make me want to sleep. ...sigh, I feel like a zombie today only getting a couple hours' sleep.

Anyway, I've done a couple things. DH ran the broom around and I mopped. Looks better. Will see what I can get done today.

I think I've finally lost my patience with this bleeding. Obviously the hormones and blood loss are going to do a number on me and I'm just all weepy and feeling hopeless right now. I keep trying to give myself pep talks.

Of course I'm doing boring filing now which doesn't help matters any and it is a dreary day out. I think we'll do a border run in a few minutes in order to do something completely different and maybe perk me up a bit. I think I'll go back to drinking diet dr. P since I feel so out of sorts. It isn't good for me but healthy stuff isn't making me feel any better.

The jeweler wrote back with an estimate for remaking/making my wedding rings and it looks very affordable. I'll get exactly what I want and it will cost about 1/4 of what buying new would cost. Plus I'm giving work to a local artisan as opposed to a ring produced goodness knows where. Of course, the key is tiny stones but that's doesn't bother me any. I've told him I'll be in on Tuesday with my extra gold (basically all the rings I got when I was a teenager) and I'll give the go ahead for him to produce the model at that point.

My apologies for the post on wrong day yesterday I've moved it to the right day combining it with another post in there removed it off the wrong day not that it matters now!

It's cool today around 40* I moved the deck chair back to it's spot I moved it out of the rain yesterday noticed the chill in the air doing that.

Today is supposed to be my day off but dd asked via p/c message about doing granny duty this afternoon. {I thought it was the other granny's day.} So there is a change b/c they stayed the night I just found out.

Sun in the west today 8-) so might be a great day to get the front mowed. Back looks nice still!

Got some work done on the prayer shawl I've been crocheting on this week random strips with odds and ends of yarn I have here.

Kitchen could use some help here.
Last load of laundry still needs folded and put away h. helped me with that.
I had a muffin for breakfast that dgd helped me mix up yesterday.
Glad the weather is going to be better this afternoon b/c of the co. fair here and dogwood festival. No school here today so kids will have better weather to play!

Good morning! TGIF everyone. I can sleep late tomorrow because XDH has DD10 all weekend. I have planned out my weekend so I have things to do and (hopefully) won't mope. Tonight I may go to a yarn shop and crochet in company. I won't stay too long, I have got to get some sleep.

DH and I did our morning mile. He paid the bills I OK'd yesterday. I downloaded a book on Kindle, sent a couple of emails and printed off his health history form for the Chiropractor.

Next up is dishes and garbage patrol. Then off to the Chiro.
