Happy Birthday cowinkie
Rev up your motors it is Monday and you will be off to a roaring start. (The devil made me do it.)
I'm reved. Jake and I walked and listened to the mallards. It is too dark to see anything though.
On the last day of April I don't have any goals to finish. I'm on track. So tomorrow will start a new set of goals.
One of the goals for may to to update my recipe blog. It is so far behind I say with my head hanging.

Well... I wish I could rev up MY engine a little faster. Maybe s2s will help.
Tomorrow is another day.

Re: Happy Birthday Monday
Last night I checked my calendar for today and found that dmom has a dr appointment at 11 today, which I was lucky enough to make last Thursday (or Wednesday?) before I left. I'll blow off of work today as a personal day - I'd have to leave work by 9:15 to pick her up and get back to the dr by 11 - this is the one that is close to an hour from her house - and that with an 11 a.m. appointment he will likely be running late also.
I can also do a little straightening up this morning before I leave and I need to get rolling....
-breakfast
-meds for me and ddogs
-empty dishwasher
-clear kitchen counters
-start grocery list

Re: Happy Birthday Monday
Jake and I just got back from outside. I wanted to see the goslings. They are still sleeping.
While we were out a butterfly landed on my lap. I wear a red coat and have a white blanket that covers my legs down to my ankles when it is cold. I fold the top down so I can pull it up to my shoulders if I need it. It is a hospital blanket from when I didn't have clothes to wear home and no coat.
It looked like a monarch but I'm not sure. I don't know the different butterflies as well as birds.
It landed on the blanket. I didn't move and it stayed there until I was ready to come in.

Re: Happy Birthday Monday
It is so restful and restorative to contemplate such a butterfly, Indiana. Those and dragonflies.
DD and I went to Epcot Saturday and simply strolled around. The only "ride" we went on was Spaceship Earth. Spent the day looking at all the flowers and topiaries, listening to a concert (Chuck Negron from 3 Dog Night). Managed to get in nearly 13,000 steps and was T I R E D by day's end. We stopped on the way home for dinner at one of the 2 for $20 places. Still haven't finished my whole meal.
Think I'm going to school later to count change for dd. She's leading a team from school in the Relay for Life. Students had collected over $800 as of Friday and much of it change. The change has to be counted and rolled so she can take it to the Cancer Society tonight. If I can do this one thing for her her it will take a lot off her plate. (Her plate is full, full, full before we go north!) GD is giving her 'fits' about going without her (but the tradeoff is she gets to stay with a friend where she is well liked and loves to go). Just praying she 'keeps' this friend for the long haul. She tends to end up pushing friends away. She is too controlling and downright mean. (I see so many traits of my deceased MIL in her.) Sad!
Found out this weekend that our local paper up north is doing an article with pictures of DS-A & DDIL and dZoe's memorial, etc. this week or next. Called dfriend at the co-op where I used to work to ask her to save me some copies. Just reminded me I wanted to look online and see if it's there yet.
Waiting for a LOL to dry so I can get dressed. BBL

Hmmmm.....can't open the site. Hrmph!
Keeps telling me they've "exceeded their bandwidth". Another curiousity -DGS12 just came online on S kype. He should be in school I do believe. Wondering what that's all about. Have to go see if the school is closed or something.

Re: Happy Birthday Monday
Meant to wish DCowinkie the Birthday of all Birthdays! Happy Day!
Have my LOL done, folded and put away -now to jump in the shower and get dressed. Next up will be to do the few dishes. It's GD's day to do dishes (UGH!) so want to leave as few as possible for her. FEW because I don't 'trust' how she does them. So the fewer she has to wash, the fewer I feel I have to re-do tomorrow.
DD also told her she was changing her "Friday" day to another because she seems to find a way of being gone on Fridays lately.
That would suit me just fine -especially if I feel the need to re-do them. Of course I'll be gone in 9 days anyway. Seems like the weeks since dh left have simply flown by.
Ok, off to do my 'thing' for the day. This will be my contribution for the RFL. Should donate some for dd, but have another coming up soon for dh and ddil up north. Split it I guess.
