I'm home from my little trip. It was HOT driving home without A/C because the air is already heated up and I was in the direct sunshine all the way home. getting the a/c fixed in the car just moved up the priority list! :) About 30 minutes into the trip, I stopped at a Sonic and bought a bag of ice. I filled several containers with ice and put them around LO and then put the rest of the ice in a plastic tub next to me. Each time I started getting extra hot I would put my hand/arm into the COLD ice water and it cooled me down. Repeat...repeat...repeat. The ice was melted by the time I picked up DGS17 & DGS15 and they enjoyed teasing me about my "home made" a/c. HEY!! It worked to keep us cool(er). Success is hard to argue with.

Yesterday DH went to several places trying to find someone interested in installing the yard fence. We took the fence project all the way down to bare basics in hopes of getting someone interested in doing it and so the extras wouldn't delay it. DH couldn't get anyone to even give a quote on the project. Argh! Finally he got hold of cousin that looked at it weeks ago and never got back to us....DH said "I want this fence installed in the next 48 hours - name your price". Apparently repeatedly calling and adding a quick deadline got his interest. He named a price and DH accepted it. I would say it was an outrageous price.....but it was the ONLY estimate/quote we have been able to get after contacting over a dozen companies....so I'm going call it a deal and get on with life.   ANYway - we have fencing hardware in the yard this evening. Hopes are high that we will soon have a fence! I'm not sure who will be the happiest....DDogs, LO or myself. :)

Dinner is over and cleaned up. I can't believe it is 9 p.m. already.

I also did the research and finally voted in the proxy fight one of my stocks is going through. Found myself googling all the female members of the existing board to see if I could vote for them. They only make up 20% of the board but I'd hate for that percentage to get any worse. On the other hand, if they are part of the problem, then they should be tossed.

Now to tidy up the dining room in preparation for my meeting tomorrow. And I need to start laundry too. Just remembered that one.

Laundry is done, waiting for me to hang it up. Table is ready for my meeting. I remembered to attach a mouse to my computer so the accountant can manipulate the pointer while we go over the books (the accounts open up on an external screen but she can't manage my keyboard pointer and my touch pad is disabled on my laptop.)

I'm going to vacuum and dust upstairs, then hang up the clothes and go to bed.

dd13 did a video (like a fancy slideshow - Photo Story) for Social Studies about the The World Trade Center from 1966 to the present. She set it to the music of one of her favorite young Japanese composers and it is remarkably moving. Although I'm sure no one will have heard this instrumental (orchestra) before, it's just perfect. Much better than choosing popular music, although she briefly thought of that.

She wanted me to help tweak and I did, as far as getting the wording correct and correctly crediting the composer, etc. But it is remarkable to me the happy coincidences that had the images' drama aligned with certain rises or falls in the drama of the music, almost from the start of editing. She moved just a few photos to get the desired effect. Gave me chills how it came together - a real heartstring tugger.

WTG, Harriet's dd! I am impressed!

Lynlee -- I already take a 24-hour Allegra every day of the world... so I don't know if I could add anything more to that or not. The last time I did add to it, I just almost fell asleep driving down I-65. * sigh *
Tomorrow is another day.

Great work - Harriets dd.
It sounds awesome.

Lucylee - I guess thats a question for your allergy doc then. I hope there is a solution that doesn't have either you or baby in a plastic bubble.I hadn't realised your reactions were so severe.
I have heard of people taking 2 of the nondrozy antihistamines to reverse the beginning of anaphalaxis. (and thats not spelt right ;) )
But your doc needs to make any call.

Support group today.
Washing is still on the line as it was soaking when I put it out. fitted protector sort of contained a heap of other things and their water. Mum always felt moonlight was great for washing. I'll take that notion tonight.

good morning when thursday reaches you.
