Good Vibrations Saturday

Post by Indiana »

Today is a good day to send out extra good vibrations.

There is a lot happening in our village - travelers (now and future), court sessions, health, and life events.

So today I'm sending good vibrations. Especially every time I post.

Thanks for the Saturday start while its still Saturday here Indiana.

Managed to change the vibrations by tossing some things settled in a corner of my LR.

Thinking of villagers in your many needs.
sending hugs and prayers
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

Good Morning!

Good Vibrations = extra smiles = Motivation & energy :D

I'm struggling to get back on schedule. There are some extra things happening right now so I'm not beating myself up, but am acknowledging this is not how I want to stay. My scheduling goals aren't to be perfect but I am currently at a level that would be frustrating if I thought I wasn't going to improve.

Today focus is fence installation and small town event/carnival. LO has a strong work ethic already and expects to be able to help in whatever is going on. LO wants to observe everything and ask a zillion questions WHY....then once he understands the task, he wants to"help". The fence fellas were good about this process and gave LO "jobs" to do, but I know it slows them down. I need to be extra vigilant to keep LO completely occupied with "his work" so the fence fellas won't be slowed down today. It may become necessary to completely remove us from home so they can work.

That is so great, OKay, that LO has picked up this terrific work ethic at such a young age! (((Hugs))) to the fence workers! :D

Happy trails to Lilac & Kathryn... and hoping Dee has had an uneventful trip and is happily settled back in at home now!

Waving to Lynlee & Indiana... and others as they arrive in the village...

We are traveling this morning, too... only a couple of hours away, though. Going to a bluegrass festival. We are hoping the rain holds off! It is forecast to be a very WET Mother's Day weekend around here.

We'll be back tonight.
Hope you all have a GREAT Saturday!
Tomorrow is another day.

Good morning, villagers ~

Bon voyage to all of our travelers, whether short distance or long trip.

Yesterday's shopping attempt was not very successful, still no Mother's Day gifts. I did make it to the gourmet popcorn place and bought a couple small bags -- beer flavor that DH mentioned wanting to try someday (and he's welcome to have the whole thing, ugh!) and a nice safe cheese/carmel mix for me. Also picked up a few groceries. Other than that, the 3 major garden & florist stores I checked just didn't have anything that looked right, although I saw a couple of fallback choices.

Today a museum in The Big City is having a plant sale, and they also have a beautiful gift shop there so hopefully I'll have better luck. I also want to stop by a sewing friend's retirement party. It's an open house and I don't know any of her family, so should be a quick in & out.

Then the rest of the day I'll see if DH needs help in the yard. If not, as long as the weather holds nice, I'll start picking away at the shed. I need to do that while DH is around so I can ask what is ok to toss in the trash.

Ah, I hear the washer has stopped. I'll get that load into the dryer and wash some dishes before I hit the road.

I appreciate the good vibes! Weekends are often more hectic than weekdays here.

Love the 3 year old work ethic, OK. You're doing so well with him!!

Safe travels to Kathryn ~ Lilac ~ Dee ~ Lucylee ~ others I may have overlooked.

We will just be traveling around town this afternoon. I pick up dd16 from a Practice - PSAT at 1:15. Then, the girls go to an awards ceremony at 1:30 for an area-wide story-writing contest they both entered, sponsored by our city's library. Both girls are finalists in their respective grade divisions. That is over at 3, precisely when dd13 needs to be at the theater to get ready for the city youth orchestra concert at 3:30. That should be over 5 or 5:30; there are 3 levels of orchestras playing. Then, small group is 5 - 9-ish pm. I haven't been able to go to this small group since late January so I am VERY happy to go, even if late. Between the awards ceremony and the concert, we need to get dd16 home. After the concert, we need to stop by home again to switch girls; dd13 doesn't come to this small group while dd16 is the babysitter for the group. *phew* Fortunately, tomorrow looks pretty low-key, other than church, a jog, and hopefully S and R coming over. We haven't seen S for 2.5 weeks so it will be good to see her again.

So, that is a snapshot of today and how many of my Saturdays have been! This is a busy time of year.

I'm working on laundry and hope to get in some yardwork before 1 pm. Another friend may stop by before 1 pm too - not sure. . .

I hope everyone has a fantastic Saturday!

I need to get rolling this morning....Was up at 8:30, have read the paper, talked to neighbor, surfed online.

Today have graduation party at 4 p.m. - I need to also make a card. ;) May not be a real fancy-schmancy card, tho.

I'm eating breakfast. Once done:
-reboot computer
-reboot laundry
-clear kitchen counters
-empty dishwasher
-straighten family room

Helia, May is as bad as December for lots going on - school and extracurricular programs, graduation, winding up of school with trips, projects, softball/baseball, and then all the regular weekly activities.

DH and I were out by 6:30 walking. It is nice to see all the different yards and the way people have landscaped.

I am in the process of making tuna/mac salad - this time with the tuna.

The dresser is almost full - the shelving unit is out to the garage and the closet is being re-organized.

It is supposed to be 104 in Phoenix today. It will be cooler here but all warm stuff is done early and we relax in the afternoon. I need to get a countdown chart and a take with list ready as we leave at the end of this month.

Time to assemble the tuna/mac salad. TTFN

Ahhhhhhh....I made it! It was a long three days at payroll, but now I'm off for two whole weeks! :D :D While I'd love to spend the entire two weeks lazing around and doing nothing, I think I'd better put the time to somewhat more productive use.

Today, I'll be bringing home Humphrey Bogart - a six week old feral kitten who was going to be put to sleep. I've got the usual housework and critter care to deal with, and I'd also like to finish getting the back yard tidied up. I'll be doing some sewing, paying some bills online, and taking DD and the kids over to a friend's to visit. Supper is already planned, and the meat is pulled.

Yep...it's going to be a full day! I guess I'd better get a couple of rounds done before I have to head out.

- downstairs critter care
- put away clean laundry
- vacuum foster room
- wash dishes
- gather dirty laundry

{{{Dee}}} Read your post in J&C!

I'm feeling a bit puny today with a scratchy throat. So I'll be taking it easy today. So rest is my focus. Dd & family will be here Mon. w/ chicken from KFC [like I requested] for a mom's day thing. I'm sort of glad it's not on mother's day as I'm fighting a bug. H. is glad he does not have to grill as he's working that day.

I found out last night a friend died in Jan. from liver cancer, this was a kind that did not present with symptoms until it was too late she was gone quickly. In three months she was gone her hubby said.

I've had tea and cocoa coffee is nearly gone now. I started a book yesterday so may be delving into that in a bit.

It looks like that some one is moving in or out in the house that was for sale down the street.
