I was sitting here at the computer when a coyote just walked about 6 ft. in front of the window. By the time I got the camera he was across the street but I got a pretty good picture of him. He didn't look too healthy and his tail was all full of burrs. Sometimes the sick ones come in the park - one had to be put down last year. But he sure woke up the dogs.

Two more days of very hot weather here and then a cool down over the weekend. I'm glad as it is pretty hard to work in the MH in the heat.

Right now we are slightly panicking as we can't find our passports. For some reason I didn't put them in their proper storage places. Have no idea when they went missing or where I put them. We don't need them until October so I know we can get them replace - it is just frustrating.

One way to get mojo: I have laundry on my to do list a couple of loads had
been rounded up and were on the floor waiting to be sorted in the laundry
room. Dgd likes to help. While she was here yesterday she was taking
her daily tour of the house and came back in the rec. room where I was sitting
in the chair and asked if I wanted to help her with the "huge pile" of laundry! So we did.
I have the last of it ready to fold today when she's here.

I passed my blood test!!!! (At least the giving blood part.) The technician had told me that next time I came to keep heat on it for at least 30 minutes prior so I heated up a bean-bag and did that (as well as walking 2.5 miles and drinking 6 glasses of water and not sitting down while I waited to be seen.) First prick, in my left arm (not wrist) and she was able to get enough to fill the 6 vials. YAY!!!!!!!

Dh's appointment was less successful. He was told to go for the blood tests if he smelled for a long time in the future. Like I'm going to let him smell for a long time in the future (or at least, I'll be moving out of our bedroom if he has to wait.) Sigh....

Oh, and I have to wait 2.5 weeks for the pap smear. Hope my period doesn't come back at that point or I might have to give up on getting a pap smear this year.

Good morning! The swamp cooler repair person was here yesterday and found he needed to order parts, so it is still broken. After he left, it was too late to get much done at payroll so I ran two errands (bought cat meds and delivered giveaways), then picked up DD10 early. Girls Night Out was Chinese food then Chuck E Cheese. She hit a ticket jackpot and won 250 tickets + all the others she had earned. I also cleaned up a hallway. I am tired and have a sore throat, but am hoping it is just allergies. I am at payroll. Tomorrow at payroll will be scattershot: I have a doctors appointment, lunch with friends, then swamp cooler install. I decided to get a new swamp cooler, mine is 20 years old and the warranty company will pay half. I remembered to bring my lunch today.

I'm in sore need of the BGS this morning. There is so much to do here and I am feeling paralyzed and overwhelmed.

We will leave either Sat night or Sunday a.m. for vacation. I'm feeling very bittersweet that ds is not going, and it may be that dd does not go either. DS will be working; dd is waffling on going with the two of us knowing she will be "bored, bored, bored." She's invited friends but no one is able to go next week. So it's hard for me to get excited and dh will be probably be crazy with being away from work and away from the house construction.

Anyway, I should apply that BGS liberally and move on!
-kitchen counters
-start a lol
-get dressed and ready to head out
-make up bed and straighten master BR/bath

While out today:
-gas
-groceries
-cleaners drop off
-go by the new house
-pick up medical form for dd at pediatrician
-recycle center (closed on Monday when I went by)

I need to continue with decluttering and pulling out stuff for moving sale here at home.

My expected day at home is becoming a day of running around.

This morning, I helped dh bring ds' car into the shop and then had coffee with dh. We talked for a while, but then dh was sidetracked into purchasing tix for our trip to Hawaii next month! So that is done; I'm looking forward to that trip. Dh has a conference there in mid-June. I'll relax for a couple days while he gives his talks, etc. and then we'll take a couple days to hike around. We are much more hikers than beach people, but I'm sure we'll visit the beaches too. I do enjoy snorkeling. This will be a sans-kid trip.

I'm having lunch now and prepping to head out on some errands: Trader Joes and groc. store? for supplies for the moms group end-of-the-year picnic tomorrow. Even though the women are supposed to bring their own tableware and drinks, they often forget. And I forgot to purchase the supplies when I went on Monday.

Dh and I will meet to jog around 3:30.

Later this afternoon, Dd13 is bringing her dfriend home from school. They have a jazz band gig at our elementary school's end-of-the-year picnic from 5-6 tonight. Then, I'll take the girls straight to field hockey practice, 6 - 7:30. They'll arrive late. I'll pick up dd13 from practice at 7:30 and bring her back home; she has too much homework to go to youth group tonight. I'm not sure about her dfriend, if her parents will pick her up after practice or if I am to pick her up and take her to the church for youth group.

Depending on whom is going to youth group tonight, I may have to do a pick up run at 8:30. dd16 has a big test tomorrow, ds is starting senior finals today, and dd13 has the 2nd part of her Latin exam tomorrow - so, no one may be going to youth group tonight.

Side note: I must say, ds' good buddy at school is SO polite. He always calls me Mrs. Helia's last name. I sent him an email asking about posting prom photos with him in them on facebook, and even in his email he calls me Mrs. I saw him yesterday at the high school at the band uniform returns, and even though we hadn't greeted each other, he volunteered, "Have a good day, Mrs. helia!" Actually, I was very impressed by the high school students' behavior. They were cooperative, helpful, didn't complain, many were very friendly.

Oh, I like that Timber Press video, Nancy, and its music, too! I paused it at her garden plan to see what she was doing there. Don't anybody kiss chickens in the face, though, okay? They peck right back atcha.

Paralyzed - yep, I used that word just yesterday evening, Twins' Mom. 5x5 made out last night helped a little:

Pick up prescription -
Wash hair - check
Make birthday call - check

Also knowing exactly which washing to throw in the twins fast helped, too! (Thanks, laundry card.) That makes me feel like I'm already in the middle of a bustling day, rather than at a starting point, which is more stressful.

Dd32's family arrives in 48 hours.

HRH is fascinated by this trivia - today is the first time in 5,000 years that Egyptians have cast a ballot to elect a leader.

If you guys wonder why I'm always "clear and wiping kitchen counters" let's just say that I went upstairs for 20 minutes and counters were smudged and food residue left when I came back down. One trip through the kitchen by ds.

Hmmm.....in cuop I noticed 1) that Okay was looking for both Energy AND Confidence last night. Did she get lost in that 'looking'. 2) Noticed that Okay has not been here yet today.

I didn't even come here this morning because I didn't want to get engrossed in the computer and induce any eye strain. Had to go for my driver's license & eye test. Wanted eyes in as good a shape as possible. I was a little nervous about the eye test and did kind of mess up for a second determining (bottom row) if one letter was a D or an O. Opted for D. LOL. That was correct. I need an eye exam but have been putting it off for a while as I didn't want to spend another $600 on corrective lenses. (That's what my last ones were and they were from W mart!). Not even expensive frames. I'm sort of thinking I'll need cataract surgery before the year's out so don't really want to spend that money on new glasses if I don't have to. Not sure if I'll still need glasses for correction of my 'primary' need -that of a 'prism'. When I first had glasses that's all they had in plain lenses -the prism, so my eyes would come to a focal point. Last license I was able to pass eye exam with no glasses, didn't even dare try this time. It's been 8 years.

Supposed to be dry today but sure has looked like rain all day.

Went to dgs7's lacrosse game last night. He sticks to his 'man' like white on rice but has no idea where the ball is.

Stopped at a small grocery store on the way home and now have a pot of chili simmering away for dinner. Also had to fill the gas tank while I was out. Sure hate doing that. I've been home for 12 days and already have over 600 miles on the car. And I thought we might be running "LESS"! Ha!
