Awww  thank you!

Well, I was UP early and then snoozed till a few minutes ago. Now it's time to light some of those candles and get my 'fire' going.

Probably sleepy because my BS was pretty low this morning (62). Think I should eat breakfast now? Took my meds nearly 2 hours ago. I'm really off schedule!

I'm amazed at how well you stay in touch with us -on the opposite side of the world, LynLee! So glad you do!

Just took dh's phone to him. He had a call from "Keith" who said he was the electrician for the campground. Walked in the store to hear dh say, "I'll have to get my phone." Wallah! Speak & receive. At any rate, he had no idea who the caller was and it was a 410 area code -long from here. Have to look & see where that is. Oh, here's dh so maybe I won't. Hrrmmmppphhhh! Now I'm "mad". This guy led me to believe he was on his way here and was the GP electrician! It was a salesman that dh had evidently talked to over a year ago. Wanted to send him a catalog and some materials for $38! For this I hurriedly dressed and took the phone down so dh could call him back!  I really was wondering why owner had called another electrician when that's dh's primary field. When I get through steaming, I'll get busy with my morning routine. At least I'm mostly ready for the day -just slow.

Back from our walk. Saw 3 clutches of quail this morning. All sizes. One had just hatched out and were just tiny balls of fluff. The biggest ones in the other clutch looked almost ready to fly.

No coyotes this morning.

DH goes to breakfast with the boys today for the last time for this season. We are doing a lot of lasts this week.

We still haven't found our passports. I will replace them as we travel this summer, as I don't need them until October. I am more concerned with my password book that is in the same file. Most of my passwords are saved in the computer - but if the computer crashes, I won't be able to get into a lot of sites.

I'd best get moving and get some breakfast and then ??? Not sure what next to do. Probably work more on the den. I would like to get it at least looking like I know what I am doing in here.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEE!

MT, I hope you stumble onto the passports. I had put dhs away before our trip. It had recently came in the mail and he needs it for his bike trip to Canada next month. I had also put away the spare keys to my car. For some reason on the trip I thought of them and couldn't remember where I put them but thought they were with the passport. We hadn't been home very long when I thought to look. They weren't with the passport but I looked several other places and located them. From now on I need to make notes where I stash stuff because I sure waste a lot of time looking for stashed stuff.

Twins, good luck selecting light fixtures for your new house. It has been exciting going on this journey with you.

Today I will need to take dgd15 to school for a final. Other than that I plan to stay home and work on laundry until I pick up the kids at 4.

Today is the last day of school. Dd2 and I plan to take the kids and breakfast to the zoo tomorrow to kick off our summer adventures. The boys will be going back to their dads tomorrow afternoon. Dd2 has an appt with her business attorney, so I will be watching kids while she does that. At some point tomorrow I will need to buy groceries.

First results from my blood test are back. I'll live. But my ferritin levels are in the reduced iron stores range but not near the bottom of that range. Since the doctor had been after my ferritin levels the last time I did blood work, I pulled that out and, sure enough, that box had not been ticked so we don't know what the levels were 3 weeks ago. Sigh.... she's not the brightest bulb in the bunch.

Now I need to google everything to see what it all means. The printout gives normal ranges but assumes I know what each item/test is. I'm well within normal (whodathunkit!) but I still want to figure out which one is thyroid.

Hello, my friends! May I call you friends? My kids always said that it was creepy to call you that when you didn't know I existed. I first found the Organized Home boards around 2005 and then came here when that forum folded. I am 54, have a husband of 33 years, and a DS23 and DD25. The truth is I am "born organized", but as I have gotten older, that has really slacked off!

Have spent one-third of my marriage in the southeast, one-third in the upper midwest, and one-third in the northeast. Have now moved to a mid-atlantic state! All due to my husband's job. Have enjoyed all the different parts of the US.

My son is getting married this summer and lives about 13 hours away, by car. Luckily, the wedding is only three hours from here. Daughter teaches high school kids and is 10 hours away, by car. This last move put us closer to them, at least, and we are used to long car trips!

Well, I have phone calls to make and errands to run today. Just wanted to touch base with all of you finally!

Kathryn, I think thyroid tests are something like TSH uptake something....I'm sure you've figured it out by now. Just what was in my memory from a long time ago.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEE!♫ ♫ ♫ HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUUU ♫ ♫

MT, scary losing a passport. I hope noone is traveling under your name these days.

Been doing desk chores, I can now see the wood and paper desk pad. Much better now.

DH opened up our little upright freezer to defrost. I helped him repack it, wipe floors of all the water, etc. Mostly we use it to make big bowls of water for his work coolers and a little overflow from the kitchen freezer. It's not self-defrosting, but we've had it over a year I think and haven't had to do it yet.

Welcome, ellyphant! It's nice to have you here with us.

I'm so late arriving. Things are better today in a way, but my ddad is now depressed, I think, so I hope that is temporary. I've given him a baby aspirin for some pain. I know that after 1:00 I can take dd out of school if necessary - that is reassuring. This is a "makeup" day and she is "dispersed", meaning with teachers who don't normally see her and will have no lessons for her but study hall type.

Thanks for letting us know we might have "seen" you before, ellyphant, because your handle sounded familiar to me. I didn't want to say it because I've been wrong before!

Have not cuop here but will get busy and do that!
