I didn't realize DH phone didn't have a SD card installed. All the pictures he took this week were on his phone (instead of being on SD card) which meant we didn't have a way to copy them to PC. So we made a quick trip to town to pick up microSD card.

Also went to 3 stores looking for 100% cotton thin long sleeve shirts. We consider these type shirts a "must-have" for working outside in sun since we don't use sunscreen. We did finally find the shirts at the Tractor Supply store.

Stopped by the pharmacy to pick up DMom's new med and had a sticker shock. It was over $300 (our part)!!! Since it was a new med that she hasn't taken before, I asked the pharmacy to cut the amount of pills down to make sure she can tolerate the meds before spending that much $$. I brought her $115 worth and will go back and get the rest if it works out. I feel like I have let DParents down by reducing my focus on them this week. I was reading about this new med on the way home today and I don't think she should be taking it. It was prescribed by her Podiatrist but I suspect he didn't consider her other medical conditions. After telling her my concerns, she agreed to hold off taking it until we could talk to our family doctor about it (first part of next week). I also took DParents an assortment (3 take out boxes) of their favorite foods from Golden Corral.

Stopped by the cemetery and put out American flag on Grandpa's grave and a pink flower arraignment on Grandma's grave.

LO is now down for a late nap. He has missed taking one for the last 3 days.

I can't say that this has felt like a particularly productive day, and I still have plenty to get done. DH and I went to the house to check things out and they are painting ceilings today. Would have loved to see some of the interior walls painted to check out the colors, but that can wait. We also went by my office to scan the tax return, then by dh's office to email a bunch of mortgage info - he can send by secure email. Afterwards a stop at Walmart and the liquor store and home again. I developed a headache in the heat today and napped a little until Macs raided ds' garbage can and started shredding things in the upstairs hallway. Z just set off our house alarm thinking he was adjusting the A/C thermostat.

We have chicken marinating for supper and will also grill burgers - last evening here together as dd and Z will be at camp when we return from the beach.

-get the mail
-start a lol (have ds move his laundry over)
-put away a very large basket of laundry
-refill meds containers

Also need to get started on supper prep - actually I thought that dkids would do it...

It is easier to pack for 6 months as you can wear things over and over. I haven't had to pack for a long time as all we had was in the RV. Now that we have a house I have to pack.

All canned goods moved and put away. Glad I duplicated most of the kitchen appliances and utensils so I don't have topack them.

BIG TADA!!! Den is cleaned and vacuumed!! Not everything is where I want it-but it looks neat

This is being sent via my Kindle. Works great!

This is day 3 wearing a skirt and the weird feeling is starting to disappear. I am still struggling to walk slower.....which isn't a bad thing. Getting in and out of pickup takes some different body movements .....I'm starting to get the hang of it, but it is still an ongoing learning experience. I don't know how to wear a skirt while watering the garden and got totally frustrated with it......so I tucked the bottom of the skirt into the waistband and made a weird pair of shorts (no one can see me in the garden). When friends & family see me out-N-about, the WHAT ARE YOU WEARING comments are still coming but I expected that.....and they will probably continue for another week or so. Hum......wonder if I will decide to switch back to my "normal" jeans-N-boots attire then?

My iced coffee addiction just received a new encouragement..... Sam's started carrying International Delight brand of Mocha Iced Coffee.
OH so good. MMmmhhhh
OH so bad (calorie wise). So I am continuing to make my own cold brewed ice coffee and just include a dash of it. Mmmmhhhhh

Done with dinner here....dh took up the basket of laundry but didn't put away, most of that round didn't happen between supervising dkids cooking and trying to clear the kitchen table so we could sit down to eat.

So.....
-refill meds containers
-reboot laundry
-go upstairs and put that basket of laundry away
-empty the back of my car

Every time I turn around I am more behind. Dh thinks he's helping and then leaves tracks behind himself. Dkids are leaving stuff behind everywhere they go. I've started last load of laundry that I'm doing and I'm going to head upstairs and relax instead of trying to do more. In the morning I'll need to get packed; we're going to try to head out around 9 a.m.

Just realized I only have 3 opaque window coverings. Former owner made them out of sheets and fiber fill to fit between the window and the blinds to keep the sun out. But I have replaced the bedroom drapes which she also made with fiber fill between the drape and the lining. So I can make 3 more coverings out of them. The were to the floor drapes and the bottom that I cut off is just right to sew together and do the one for the small kitchen window. And the white lining make them look like the other coverings.

It gets very hot here in the summer - we are leaving the AC set on 90 but it gets to 110 - 115 so the covering will help keep the house cool.

Our cool weather this weekend has really come in handy so we can leave doors open and go back and forth to the MH.

MT, I'd be tempted to tape a foil 'emergency blanket' (from the dollar store, the kind you store in your glove box) over the outside of your windows. I used one (on the inside) when my blinds broke and they are opaque so I can see out from inside. They do a good job reflecting the heat away from the glass.

Or buy some rigid foam insulation and cut it to fit the window frame exactly. Mount that on the inside.

Back from a nice dinner and evening with dd. We went for a good walk after dinner and then picked up a few more things she needs for the shower tomorrow.

I'm off to bed now. Dh is in a mood. I'm hoping it is because he's leaving tomorrow and he's missing me.

We learned the hard way not to use the shiny reflector stuff. That plus sun is what blew out the window in our old RV. Plus HOA rules here state only white non-reflective can be used in windows. It only took about 20 mins to make 1 1/2 coverings. Pooped now so will finish tomorrow.

OKay, once when I was in jeans and dstepgd visited, she stared at me because she thought I always wore cotton dresses and aprons. So that shows how often I do wear them. But really I wear jeans more in cool weather and dresses more in hot, that's all - I might be in either at any time. I have gone to a lumber yard in a dress with an apron over it that I forgot I had tied on. All the gentlemen were very nice to me. :?

So nice to hear dd is visiting, Kathryn.

How was the first day back at work, bittersweet?

((Twins' Mom)) IKWYM about thinking they are helping yet somehow you get farther behind.

Sunny, are you and dh feeling better?

About Coffee - here is HRH's question. Regarding all the health benefits we supposedly get from coffee, would we get them from decaffeinated? And then by leaving off the caffeine avoid heartburn and jitteryness? OR, is the whole point of the benefits that they are specifically from caffeinated coffee?

Tonight I tried a floor workout and I don't believe it bothered my back - hopeful. I do think my thighs will protest tomorrow.

Again, I neglected that one capsule I'm supposed to take at supper, so had a little late meal to go with it, since it bothers me to take the capsule by itself. Well, cleaning up I saw - the capsule waiting to be taken! I had eaten the meal, brushed my teeth and was ready for bed and still no capsule. So now I've tried taking it with enough water to manage. Isn't that wise - plenty of water right before bed! I'm so irritated with myself - calories wasted on something I didn't even want to eat, too late at night, etc., etc., etc. all because I can't remember the irritating little thing! Now I should stay up to be certain I don't have any heartburn/reflux discomfort from that! But then I'd not get enough sleep to manage church in the morning. Aaaauuurrrrggghhh... ...

I would ask for advice, but what could be suggested? "Harriet, dear, perhaps you should bonk yourself on the forehead every suppertime and ask what you've forgotten... ..."
