It may feel like Monday but it is really Tuesday.
We all should be full of energy for the short week and for those that don't like Monday you have a reprieve.
Will you be able to accomplish all you want to do with one less day?

Re: It Is Tuesday Not Monday
Good morning, villagers ~
We had wonderful, relaxing weekend here but I'm also glad to get back to regular routines. We didn't actually do any of the things I'd planned for the weekend, not even putting the a/c unit in the bedroom window. DH says that's ok because it's going to get quite cool again this week.
I am very behind schedule on the newsletter, which means that it doesn't really matter that I still have a flat tire and can't go anywhere. I will try to walk to the post office later this afternoon, but otherwise I'm tied to the computer.
I'm hoping to get this done by the time DH gets home from work so I can race it to a copy shop in The Big City. Then I can fold, label & stamp this evening.
It's one of the disadvantages of living in a Tiny Town, that the only public copy machine is at the library, but they can't handle anything over a few pages at a time.
I think I'll put something in the crock pot for supper so I won't have to worry about it. I have a Paula Deen recipe I've been wanting to try.

I have plenty to keep me busy this week.
Sunny yes I can feel my A-fib. It needs to be sustained long enough though - a short burst I don't feel. Since I can feel it I can then cough to stop a long hard one 9 times out of 10.
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday.

And so dh's business trip from H E double-hockey-sticks continues.....
He made it safely to Rome this morning, leaving his computer, on purpose, at the hotel in Modena because he wanted to sleep on the train and didn't want to worry about his laptop being stolen while he was asleep.
He is safe. And by our definition (in possession of credit card, cash machine card and passport) OK.
On the other hand, there has been another major earthquake, 25 miles from his hotel. He is to return to Modena, through Bologna, tonight but I'm not sure how disrupted the travel options will be while they are checking rail lines for buckling, etc. He is to start teaching first thing tomorrow morning, but without his laptop, I'm not sure how connected he is to figure out what is going on.
I'm at Presbytery now to volunteer (probably should have stayed at home!) At least I'm online here so will get any contact from him that he can send me.

Good Morning!
Bookie - YGG! The newsletter sound like a big goal for today
Indiana - you are a marvel how well you know your body.
Last night our area had storms with golf ball size hail that took out our ISP tower. We were without internet for about 15 hours, but they managed to get it going again. POTB for those hard working fellas that worked through the night so I can check in here this morning.
Today I have an appt to get new ID card (retirement). I need this card to gain access to several fun events/activities that I take DGS's to. Afterwards I will pick up the older 2 DGS's and take them shopping for DGD1 birthday present. We also have a slew of errand stops to make.

Still not much rain here but cloudy and very windy. We got in a 3 mile beach walk this morning but I now have a blister from walking barefoot. First time that has ever happened.
Probably a quiet day today, it does look like an extended rain is to move in later.

Re: It Is Tuesday Not Monday
It is SO humid outside. Dh and I just got back from a jog and we both jogged/ran horribly. My time was horrendous, and I actually walked for 3 minutes, from minute 33-36. Then, I continued on for another 5 minutes. I don't do well jogging in the morning anyway, for whatever reason. Unfortunately, the race - most races, I believe - start first thing in the morning. I'm seriously considering not running in the race. Now, I'm not sure I'll be able to make it without walking, especially up the hill at the end.
We punted the run to this morning from last night b/c dh is out of town Th. afternoon - Friday, so he can't run Friday, so he'd like his last run to be on Thursday. Thus, T-Th runs make more sense than M-W for him.
I wanted to send Harmony ((HUGS)). It sounds like you need a vacation so badly!
Dh doesn't detach from his work very well; he just brings it with him on vacation. He has been known to make work-related phone calls from huts on mountaintops in the Alps.
PODA:
-groc. store
-lots of paperwork type stuff
-call another oboe vendor
-dd14 to oboe lesson
-take ds on dinner date
-other things that haven't come to me yet.

Re: It Is Tuesday Not Monday
Good morning, village! It's a gorgeous morning here...and most definitely a Tuesday (we had our holiday weekend last week). Tomorrow I start 3 fun-filled days off work, with everything from blood work appointments to driver's test for DD to gardening with Mum.
Today, however, I will be plugging away at work, and trying to keep my mind off the tragedy of losing little Hannah yesterday
She and Humphrey are brother and sister foster kittens - about seven weeks old and they were quite feral when I brought them home. All was fine until I went in the room yesterday morning to find Hannah curled up in their box, completely uninterested in food or anything. I took her into work to have the vet look at her, we gave her fluids to combat the dehydration, but a couple of hours later, she was pretty much flat out, and we made the difficult decision to let her go
We don't know what was wrong - the symptoms were quite like distemper in the dehydration and extremely quick downturn in health, but there was no vomiting or fever. It was also past the incubation period for distemper. Hannah is the first kitten I've lost in almost three years of fostering
Today is my "late day" at work, which now means that instead of starting at 10:30am (or 11:45 as it originally was), we start at 9am and work till 7pm. It's actually a lot easier than getting off at 8:30pm and having to be back at work at 8am the next day!
I have so seriously got to find a way to get my poop in a group around here, though! It seems like I'm forever busy, but not getting very far ahead. Between working full time, DD stressing about wedding plans, helping her bff plan the shower/bachelorette, trying to get somewhere close to caught up on housework and yardwork, finding time for dMum, the DGKs, DH, and my critters, the days are extremely full!!
Then there's the volunteer work as well - Capital City Clean-Up, Sustainable Foods Edmonton, admin work for an animal rescue, making kittycat pads for work and kitty blankets for another animal rescue....geez...no wonder I feel tired so much of the time!!
Alright...enough fussing and messing around on this machine! Humphrey needs his breakfast (all the other critters are done), and I need to get dressed for work!

Re: It Is Tuesday Not Monday
Housekeeping came earlier this morning and put my transporter wheelchair in my storage locker for me.
Maintenance just left after fixing my electric wheelchair. I managed to wrap my oxygen tubing from my bottle around the wheel. I don't take up as much space width wise in my chair as before and the arms are in as far as they fill go to I have had a hard time keeping my bottle where it belongs between me and the arm of the chair on my hip. I figured out that I can stand it up and put it in the corner against the back and my hip. I hope that will work and the bottle will stop falling out and the cord won't get wrapped around my wheel.
I have a meeting this afternoon.
We could use some rain and we may get some Thursday.

Yikes! Tell him to stay safe and be careful, Kathryn! Thinking of aftershocks, plus the difficulties of municipalities trying to right their problems - this could be a very difficult trip.
((bittersweet)) There is such a thing as "weak puppy syndrome" that I know used to baffle my dad and mom and their circle of puppy-rearing friends and vets. I think it really became a sort of mystery term and may not have had answers, although the upshot was gradually weakening puppies who couldn't be saved. You probably know more about it than me, as of course my parents haven't had a litter to rear in many years, and I don't know if there is a corresponding mystery for kittens.
I, too, have a meeting today at 2:00. I'm glad I visited my colorist yesterday.
Humidity is amazing here as well, and my hair is only holding up under this because I deeply conditioned yesterday, I think.
helia, I hate for you to give up something you wanted to do. I realize you are not desperate to win some race, just hopeful to make it up a hill, but you might consider chewing a stick of caffiene gum half-way through the run as some athletes do. Just brainstorming - that's the only thing I can think of, except maybe a miniature fueling airplane flying alongside to give you extra oxygen... ... but I haven't invented that yet. Does the weather report say the humidity will definitely not break?
