I'm "assuming" you mean ds, Kathryn? Am I all wet or is dh still on the other side of the big huge pond?

I THINK I finally have my printer working, Okay. Driver and USB port were all okay. I have 'cleaned the print head' numerous times and finally got a whole page to print. In the test page though I notice "blue" is not showing up so will probably need to replace that cartridge soon. I like dd's new printer in that the color cartridges are all individual so if yellow is out, that's the only color needing to be replaced. Now that I've 'killed' at least 45 minutes fussing with this printer (and countless pieces of paper), guess it's time to get on to other things. Pretty sure I have other color cartridges here. Couldn't figure out why I had cartridges with me in FL to this printer -but finally realized I hadn't wanted them to freeze. Do have to find out if we can store a bin of 'freezables' at DS-R's this winter -instead of carting to FL and back!

Not supposed to rain, but the clouds are sure dark gray! Much cooler here too, Indiana. Mid 50's as opposed to 90's this weekend. I'm dressed for warmth today.

Think next on the agenda is to find out where this softball game is today and get it loaded in the G armin.

I'm not as far behind as I thought I was, thanks to some automatic routines every morning. Yay!

It only looked like a mountain of laundry because it's time to wash towels. (Grateful again for modern washer/dryer -- it's pouring rain outdoors and I have very limited room inside to hang dry anything.) Kitchen towels are in the dryer and other towels in the washer.

Which brings up a question I've been meaning to ask. Do you have separate towels in the kitchen for dishes vs. hands?

I ask because of a conversation at my DSis's a couple of weeks ago. We were cleaning up after a party and DSis's new Significant Other came to help dry dishes. DSis asked him to use the dish towel instead of the hand towel. SO looked at us as if we'd lost our minds. He'd never heard of designated towels.

Maybe we've just always been surrounded by kids who may or may not have thoroughly washed hands before drying. Or maybe it's a women vs. men difference?

I just know it grosses me out to use a hand towel to dry clean dishes.

Speaking of dishes, the crock pot has been soaking and is ready to be scrubbed. Then I can start the rest of the dishes to soak. Off I go ...

Wait, where did I set my fruity hat? Conga, conga, cong-ga!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRIET!

BELATED HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MR AND MRS HARMONY!

Today is pedi day - a very badly needed pedi day. DH always says my feet look like I could easily climb a tree - no slipping.

Enjoy your day and MT - Happy Trails to you. See you down the road a piece. :D

It would me too, Booksaver! Don't think we've EVER used a hand drying towel to dry clean dishes! :o  :? Maybe it is a 'guy' thing.

I've printed out 3 differnt sets of directions (there's that "2" thing again, Kathryn). Wouldn't a "set" be 2? But each set is only 1.

It is SO dark gray cloudy out and yet forecast says pretty much full sun. I don't get it.

I should get my get up and go out and go for a walk! :? :(

Good morning all! I did everything on my list for yesterday: brought tea to work, updated Quicken, put away laundry. In addition, I took a 30 minute walk and paid a bill and worked with the foster cat. I also ran the dishwasher and did minor cleanup in the sewing room, then got to bed early. Tonight is art class, so no early bedtime.

Harriet: Happy Birthday!!!

BookSaver: Time to TNR those cats! (TNR = trap, neuter, release). If you lived in the Albuquerque area, I could find a trap for you to borrow and tell you where you can get them spayed for free. However, your area may have the same programs in place. Call your local humane organization before you are inundated with too many cats!

What would my birthday be without coming here to our village, walking out by the fence and sharing with ((all my friends)) that today I am the best 56 I can be! Thanks for all the kind wishes!

Speaking of trying to do my best by this whole 56 responsibility, :D , I've been warned that today's meals will not be low-cal. Hmmm.... ... :)

I don't know what HRH is planning. He just called from a Fresh Market grocery (common words so I don't have to alter this name!) which is two towns from here but on his way home, so that store must have something to do with my lunch - very sweet. He is having a poor shopping experience there, however, and says don't anybody shop at Fresh Market, they are not being nice to him! I'm sure it is a problem with this local one only and all the rest in the chain are probably very nice! He says that he thinks because of the work clothing he is wearing, in contrast to other customers, the employees are giving him extremely poor service. And while he's had to wait so long at several counters, he can't help but notice  some specific county health code violations. Ooooh boy. I hope the manager is ready for a few surprisingly detailed sanitation pointers.

BookSaver, I agree that young man is a good YouTube role model. Some young art enthusiasts dd13 has watched (usually sketching, which is her interest) have been questionable, IMO, so I was very quick to think she should see him and hear that particular one about sticking to your goals.
