Home again and I am tired. Not like MT and Mr MT but tired. :P

It was my wallet that I lost, and thank goodness I found it! The realtor was here until 3:15 or 3:30 - as soon as he left I took off and went back to the dr's office. I had stumbled going up the outside steps, and the wallet had slid out of my purse and landed below a shrub. Wasn't obvious unless one looked behind the shrub.

After that I drove to the new house and checked it out - they are doing the treads for the stairs today. I am not sure our refrigerator is going to fit - it appears to be exactly 36 inches wide, and the space for it is exactly 36 inches wide. We had provided the "designer" with the size of the refrigerator so if it doesn't fit I will be quite unhappy and I think they will have to fix it. Refrigerator is only two years old so I hate to sell it with this house.

After the new house, I went through Wal mart during the busy part of the day. Sadie, I've been meaning to tell you that we have greeters back. After groceries I stopped off at drugstore and cleaners. Ds has helped unload and I think put perishables away.

The overhead garage was fixed today. They ordered a brake for it and it will be installed when it comes in so it won't smoosh me into the ground if it fails again. It is only going to fail on me I decided.

Home. Exhausted.

* Did errands with senior friend.
* Had lunch with her and the minister.
* Got the flyers run off at the church (using all my tricks to get the printer to print when it thought the cartridge was empty.)
* Got the flyers to the post office and they'll be delivered tomorrow (yay! a day to spare.)
* Came home and used a spare 15 minutes to tidy up the car.
* priced cabbage on the way to meet ds $.69/lb at the Chinese grocer.
* picked up ds, parked at the airport, picked up dh and got out in under 10 minutes so didn't have to pay parking.
* visited with ds and dh at Tim Horton's - fed dh a bagel
* visited with ds at his new apartment. He had spent part of the day cleaning and wanted me to see it.
* priced cabbage at the store next to ds - $.89/lb. Bought a chicken for dinner.
* priced cabbage at a discount store - $.67/lb so bought the 25 pounds there. That was 5 heads of cabbage. Also got the rest of the ingredients.
* Came home, started bbq, got chicken, potatoes and carrots on to cook.
* dh unpacked, I handled three phone messages and other assorted things.
* ate dinner and cleaned up.

I have a load of laundry on now and when it goes in the dryer we'll go to bed, no matter the time. We'll make the coleslaw tomorrow morning.

Here for a quick CI to say hi. I hear thunder in the area; we've had rain off and on all day. Most of the windows on our house face north or south, only two on the east side, so on gloomy days like this we sometimes have to have lamps on. Even dh remarked how dark it was today.

Yesterday we were in and out of the house several times. Dh had inr lab in the morning, came home for a quick lunch then back out for his appointment with gastro dr. We also made a stop at Sam's to pick up script refills. Visited with several former co workers there, it was nice to see them and catch up on my old dept.

We needed some groceries so today we went to W M then a stop at Offc Dpo for printer ink. I'd checked several other places, but no one carries cartridges for my model printer any more (bought it in 2003). Had to pay a lot more than where I used to get it!

Happy Birthday to Mr. Suzlew!
Glad Norma is doing well.
Nice to hear that MT & dh are having good driving days. Hope you continue to stay safe from scary weather.
Wow Indiana, I'm glad the overhead door has been fixed.
Glad you found your wallet Twins.

That all I can remember from a quick cuop....I'm sure I'm missing a lot. Still hear thunder and dMinnie wants hugs for comfort. For some reason she's developed an aversion to storms.

My ddad's regular check up today. Took our day, it seemed. HRH and I were already feeling the effects of headaches that started in the night. Weather I think, although the allergy probability was high, accuweather said. HRH was starving after the appt but we got him a take out meal. I had a sandwich when we got home because I'm holding the calories down today. Ultimately, though, the headache got me and I had to nap and cover my eyes. So it seemed like there was almost no day at all. Did get some questions asked of the dr. She is pretty insistent that we continue the TylenolPM every night, saying the nighttime dreams are par for the course and don't alarm her. As usual, his vital signs are stellar.

Later I went to pick up his one usual prescription she had renewed but they didn't have it stocked (ordinary item - strange they didn't) so I will need to go right back tomorrow on my never-ending trail of errands. Sigh. Further addition to the non-day.

Food and water was great today, so that did make me want to get in some exercise, so I hit all my healthy habits.

Sunny, here is something for Minnie that Twins Mom might like, too. Lightning in the Area

Thanks for reminding us of SuzLew's dh's bday. I remember him from the news clip and thought he was so nice.

helia, I forgot to congratulate you and dh on your marathon.

[x] walked 3 miles
[x] post office
[x] doctor's office, to get the form for dmil
[x] tag office, to get handicapped HANGtag for dmil
[x] talked to dmil
* She cannot get regular tag until truck title is changed to her name. Right now, only late dfil's name is on the title. She has a year to change this. I thought she'd be all aggravated about this, but she was fine with it.
[x] drug store
[x] music store, picked up very realistic looking toy guitar, about the size of a ukulele.
Dcousin who runs the store added a real shoulder strap to it, too. I think ds will be impressed, LOL.
[x] call dcousin re: shower
* We played phone tag all day, but finally talked about an hour ago. Finalizing plans for shower.
[x] call dmom re: everything
[x] Wmart for baby swing for dmil's gift & ingredients for blue punch
[x] home to unload all THAT stuff...
[x] T arget for baby bathtub & accessory items for dmom's shower gift (which I could not find at Wmart)
[x] book store for What to Expect in the First Year
[x] appliance store
[x] B elk's for wedding gift for dfriend's daughter's tea
[x] B elk's for ddad's Father's Day gift
[x] talked to dfriend on phone
[x] delivered dmom's gift to her, talked w/them awhile,
[x] got aggravated w/myself b/c I brought up my concerns re: our trip to Atlanta which will be sooo near due date... ddad seemed to think we would be horrible parents/grandparents if we leave ds/ddil soon after delivery... * sigh * I don't know what to do... dh is going to be sooo disappointed if he misses out on this trip, besides the fact that we probably already have about $600 invested in it, no refund... well... possible refund on hotel? No refund on game tickets, for sure. Remember, it is only 3 days/2 nights.
[x] picked up bar-b-cue for our supper
[x] HOME

Now... to cuop & unload the car!
Tomorrow is another day.

Dear Lucylee - Plan to Go - as ddil has requested you to.
My youngest dd was not wanting visitors (inc me)at home when they were busy learning to tend new baby. I was shocked but had to comply. Elder dd had me stay a couple of weeks each time - but she had csections in the end .
Just begin.

Thanks for the support & encouragement, Lynlee! For once, my dmother AND my dmil are both on my side, too... I guess, not being REALLY SURE what "my side" is, LOL... b/c I still feel really, really uneasy about it... but I told dh tonight, we just have to play it by ear and see WHEN the baby comes.
It is not due until the 1st, and there is not a full moon until the 3rd, I think, for anyone who pays attention to those things. One of my late dgmothers was really a believer in the full moon/baby arrival connection, and ds DID come just a day ahead of the full moon in October that year. Of course, he came just about exactly on his due date, too, by MY calculations. I'm not sure exactly what the doctor's original due date was.
Anyway, dmom & dmil both pointed out the fact that I was recovering from a c-section, instructed not to lift anything heavier than the baby, and w/dh working from 7:30 a.m. till about 7:30 p.m. every day, I WAS pretty helpless during the first few weeks.
I told dh if the baby arrives early, I would want to stay here until he & ddil are released from the hospital and we KNOW everything is okay. DH kinda thinks we can "know" everything is okay before they actually come home to their house... but I said, "Well, we'll just wait and see."

My ddad is just so hard to please... and as dh AND dmom have often told me, I spend a ridiculous amount of time worrying about what he thinks.

Today dmom told me that he worries all the time about the dog in the house at ds/ddil's. He told dmom he would go visit them sometimes, but he KNOWS the dog will drive him crazy, and he is afraid he will end up saying something that would hurt their feelings, so he just doesn't want to go.
I told dmom that he -- ddad -- was really growing up, then, b/c he had certainly never worried about hurting MY feelings! :P
* sigh *
Tomorrow is another day.
