Dd13 and I have been busy with her grandfather. HRH is still sleeping, needs it, and we're trying to handle everything without awakening him. Tobias is tired from a long night "playing" at hours we're usually asleep and when I came to the computer he laid down on the desktop and went to sleep as quickly as I could type to here.

Now, Sunny, we expect you to have an excellent anniversary this year, with extra time to get ready.

Harmony, I'm just impressed you have dates on a calendar. Low tech is actually best.

I have a load of laundry in because I thought I'd have no chance at a nap, but now my ddad has napped briefly and it's changed everything. I think I could nap now but laundry is going. LOL.

Dcleaning lady is done and gone; ds is picking us up sandwiches from local sub shop for lunch (we're out of bread and I decided to treat him/me!) Dmom was reluctant to get out today and go to the eye doc; called me wanting to cancel and reschedule, which I did. I had just said to cleaning lady that I wished I didn't have to go out in the rain today. So I took a nap on our screened porch while the rain came down outside - very, very peaceful except when ds came out and woke me.

Harmony What a delightful mistake - good for a laugh for me.

I had a good morning - the doctor's, library, church, groceries, and visit went well. I phoned my friend from the church and she said it was too hot to go out but she had me pick up some groceries for her and drop them off. Then I visited for a half hour. I also visited at the library and the grocery store. Small villages make quick errands difficult some time but I love to do it because we don't have a minister in the village to do those kind of impromptu visitations. Our minister is great about visiting but always by appointment. Often it is the grocery store chats that make people feel touched by the Spirit.

I've had the first half of my lunch (popcorn) but need to have some salad and protein now. Then I'll get to work on the afternoon stuff.

I am loving today and I have a great attitude. My right eye is losing its cataract tomorrow afternoon and since I've already been there - done that - I am not nervous or fearful. Now, next Monday, a first dental appointment in many years - I am nervous and fearful! I have extensive work to be done.

Do I say Happy Anniversary now or later for Mr and Mrs Sunny? Whatever, I wish you many more.

This morning DH and I went to breakfast at our favorite Sports Bar and who should be there but one of DH's target shooting buddies. They had just been at the range together. He is somone who DH really likes and talks about him a lot. It was so nice to meet him finally. Wonderful gentleman - in fact he really reminded me of Sweetie - who is also a wonderful gentleman. It is always nice to be able to put a face on a name.

For those of you who are fans of Ree Drummond (Pioneer Woman) she has a wonderful picture of Mt. Rainier on this morning. I became instantly homesick. On a clear day Rainier looms over Seattle as if she is a protector.

Good afternoon everyone! My weekend was successful. Even though DD10 is with XDH for the week, I did not mope because I had plenty to do. Saturday, I got the foster cat to her next foster then helped decorate the church for Vacation Bible School. Sunday, I had cat clinic (dead - no adoptions) then helped at VBS. I have a long list of things I need to do today or the near future. It is lunch time, so I guess I should hop to it. I think that during lunch I will get some Euros from AAA.

My attitude is fine thank you very much, but poor Willis has the "hops". That means his right hip is bothering him and he has to hop to get around. We had planned on walking today, but that isn't going to happen. I swam him for a while hoping it would help. Willis loves to swimming but doesn't like to use the steps to get out of the pool. Usually we play fetch. He loves to spring into the water to get his ball. Poor guy struggled to get out of the water each time he jumped in. I tried to guide him to the steps of the pool but Willis was determined to do it his way. I give him aspirin each morning and today have upped the dosage to see if I can get him some relief. He's not his wiggly self today, so I know he must be hurting.

I am doing a desk day. After that 3 day migraine with a 2 day recovery time I'm a bit behind. Sweetie insists that I slow down, but that would mean sitting on a couch like a lump...But I understand his motivation. Its very difficult for him to see me when I get my headaches and this is the first time he's seen me with one that lasted this long. I'm used to it, but know it must be scarey for him. Its really a struggle for me to talk during these kinds of headaches and that doesn't help either.

I talked to my ds last night. He's in Madrid right now doing an internship for an investment company. He loves his work, but I can tell he doesn't have much free time for himself. His dad and stepmom have been visiting him during these past few days and I can tell ds is a bit stressed trying to entertain his father and trying to work. We discussed my upcoming visit with him. I don't want to add on to his stress so I suggested that I come the last week of his internship or even the following week. DS came up with an idea. He will be traveling around Italy after his stay in Madrid and asked if I would come with him. YIPPIE all the way around.

Long ago I lived in Italy for a summer and would enjoy going back. But what really excites me is having the opportunity to spend time one-on-one with my son. Remember he is 31 and a mom doesn't really get many chances to spend time traveling with her son at that age. HE's as excited as I am. Says I am the only one he know that can keep up with him. That means I can travel light, am always up for an adventure and stays calm when things go wrong. He want's to go to Venice and I keep thinking I'm gonna be standing on the same bridge with my son 45 years after my first time there. How weird is that???

So KIC I have some questions for the resident world traveler here in our village. I need a crash course on how to travel on the Euro rails: roller backpack or small carry suitcase? If you have time you can just list a few things I need to remember or if you have a website that will be helpful that will be fine. I'm lucky cause my ds is bilingual and understands the euro money exchange and all of that. But I would appreciate any handy dandy ideas you would like to share with me.

Gremlins are peeking around the corner...need to scoot before they catch me. Cy'all later..........

Holding back the gremlins with one hand while typing with the other.....

Forgot to say hi to every one and to say how nice it is to be able to visit more often. Twins and for anyone else in your area..Harriet on your NE side. ..Looks like you're in for alot of rain. Mobile and Pensacola are used to the flooding if ever you can be. Certain streets ALWAYS flood like they are showing on the news during tropical storms and such. Its just a big event because the area didn't know the rains were coming. Mobile, as Elizabeth knows, has certain streets and areas that go underwater even after a heavy thunderstorm. Still I feel for everyone.

I second what Harmony said...I have all my car doors open hoping for some fresh squash Norma, Sweetie told me last night he hadn't heard from your guy in 2 days and that was a record...see girls I told you these two men act like teenagers with each other. Honestly the way they act together makes Norma and me laugh. I can't talk about Norma's guy...( hes' known as Mr. Guy, but Norma can explain that one ), but since Mr. Guy has shown up I've seen a side of Sweetie that I didn't know existed.

Cowinkle - I am sooooo excited for you! This is a wonderful opportunity to travel with DSon!

I wish I was Harmony with business accounts kept up to date. This morning I emailed our CPA a question about quarterly estimated taxes and he answered back to just send him the spreadsheet showing MPB January through May income and expenses. ARGH! Gross income isn't a problem - I keep up with that almost on a daily basis. However the expenses spreadsheet is an entirely different matter......it updates itself by pulling the numbers from MPB accounts......which means all the MPB accounts have to be up-to-date in order for the expense spreadsheet to be correct. I remember saying that I was going to keep up with this so I wouldn't have so much work to do to prepare taxes next year. Welllll......here is my chance to get going and make it happen!!
