It is gorgeous here today. Great temperature and sunny skies. We could use rain. We are still classified as abnormally dry and not far from becoming what they consider a moderate drought.

Oooooh. I have been lollygagging again today. Must.get.busy.

-clear kitchen counters
-start dishwasher
-reboot laundry
-straighten family room
-take out kitchen garbage

Helia - that is AMAZING! I'm excited just hearing about the ongoing research being done on cancer and tumors. and dreaming about what the possible outcome could mean for soooo many who are suffering from those diseases.

MT - POTB!!!

This morning has been busy but not really productive. DFriend dropped by to get some paperwork from DH before we even finished up breakfast. He ended up sitting at the table with us and visiting for over an hour. THANKFULLY the house was picked up and presentable. LO was still in his PJ's but otherwise we "had our act together. I gathered tomatoes and squash from the garden and started processing them (pica gallo and steamed squash), but before I got done with that.... DBrother stopped by to check cattle. He loooooves to talk so I heard all the details about his vacation.

Lunch will be at DParents. We are combining our freshly picked/cooked vegetables dishes (blackeyed peas, squash, tomatoes, peppers) and tossing in a pan of cornbread.

DS just called... no change in ddil... next doctor's appt MONDAY... MIGHT induce on TUESDAY... IF there is change (dilated more) at that time... * sigh *
Of course, Tuesday IS the day we are supposed to leave. * sigh *
I TOLD dh back in NOVEMBER... we need to change these plans... * sigh *
And oh. my. goodness. I am getting nervous now that The Day approaches.
I know a baby -- even a grandbaby -- is going to change things sooo much around here.
And it will certainly change things in ds/ddil's lives. Oh. My. Goodness.
I know it's going to be a good change... but y'all know how I am about change.

And COWINKIE -- this can not go in your book. I do not want to be a character in your book.
Although my anxieties would make very amusing reading, I am sure, I must repeat --
I do not want to be included in The Book.

Might fling some more journal entries today.
Going out to walk... might fling some weight.

-fold two loads of clean laundry
-put away large basket of clean laundry
-make the bed
-water plants
-bring down dirty laundry

I think I need to leave around two to p/u ds - yes, he is still wanting me to drive him. I have to stand firm next week, somehow!

I've done everything except to fold the second load of laundry. I also emptied all the ancient liquor bottles from our wet bar - most of them probably moved to this house with us sixteen years ago. and rebooted the laundry. I need to have some lunch.

When I go after ds, we will go by the new house to see what's new. The A/C is on now, and installation of light fixtures s/b done today. Next week the builder has all the finishing stuff happening all week - landscaping, appliances, repainting, carpet installation. We're supposed to walk through next Friday for the "pre-closing" walk through, and close two weeks from today.

Just got back from taking dsgd12 to the orthopedist. He took more x-rays of her neck. Cleared her for soccer.

Talked to DDIl (we're getting close too, LucyLee). Did an ultrasound and figure this 'little' guy is already 8lbs. Next week they'll do a fetal monitor because they don't want him being stressed because he's getting so big. Due date is July 17, but doing C-section on the 11th. If he starts getting stressed or she goes into labor it will be sooner. Dh's b'day is July 1st and DS's the 5th, so they would really like either of those days. He at least is no longer breach and they think that may be why she was having so much back pain over the weekend -that he was turning.

Dh just arrived in his cart -think he's gone next door to see dneighbor first though.

Dsonil called me while on my way to pick up DSGD12 (pulled off the road first -always do if I'm going to talk). He went to the cardiologist today about the results from his nuclear stress test on Monday -no blockage, no nothing. They were seeing blockage before and they're quite sure it is all stress-related. He's been off work on medical leave for at least 2 weeks now. His work environment has already been labeled as a high stress work environment.

Betting dh will want some lunch.

At last this day has arrived and I am "flinging" clothes in our suitcase to go see that dear little soul, ggd. We haven't seen her since last September and I am soooo anxious. We do receive pictures of her almost everyday from our dd and hear about all the funny things she says, but it isn't quite the same. We leave very early in the a.m.

Cowinkie - Mr. Guy really laughed at the Alan Hale, Jr. for his character. I just don't know who should have that illustrious roll How about John Wayne? I know, I know, he is no longer with us, but we are forever Duke fans. (Actually I am way to busy trying to figure out who will be the cast of "Fifty Shades of Grey"

I have a noon appointment with the hygienist to start my dental work. Expect that is what I will be doing most of July. I have neglected too long.

Might just put ALL my old journals in a pile and burn them ALL TODAY.

Am I just having a lot of (useless/nervous/silly) idle thinking?
DS came over & walked with me, and I said to him, "You told me once that you were glad I kept a journal, right?"
(I know he did, b/c I put it in my journal, LOL!)
DS said: "You keep a journal???"
Oh my goodness.
Now I'm afraid he'll get nosy and start prowling around while we're gone and find them and read them before I die.
He said he would NOT do that, and seemed disappointed that I might not trust him.
(I guess b/c I tend to be nosy, I expect everyone else is, too.)
I just don't want him & ddil to read them when I'm gone and think how crazy I was.

One more time... please... y'all give me reasons to keep/reasons to fling.

Obviously, reason to fling is that it is a persistent worry on my mind...
Reason to keep -- b/c I'm afraid I'll regret throwing all that away...

I guess I've just always fancied myself a female John Boy Walton... and it's a hard habit to break...
but I've become extremely self-conscious and private in my "old age" so... what to do???

Also terrified ds will share my concerns w/ddil and then SHE will want to read them and think I'm insane.
Nothing bad about her in them at all... just all my crazy worries... about all kinds of stuff.
