Happy Birthday, Mr. Harmony!

Twins' Mom, so no one gets to paint their door's mullion? I have internal mullion on windows (realizing that is different) and they can be painted any which way you want. Why offer you a choice of color of door if part of the door will forever remain white? In that case, I would have a white door and feel I was stuck with it, because I don't consider a door to be a multicolored item. :D But then, I'm not a designer. Red and white is lovely for Valentine's Day. :D Oh, but that is past... Maybe it could be patriotic with a blue basket... .... See, now I'm being silly.

Well, just coming in to report, our delightful site continues on as the reigning champion of gracious, genuine behavior on the net. Reading another forum site today which seems kind and courteous in the most part, I was very sorry to see them having to deal with judgmental if not mean-spirited posts. A couple posters who believe they can say just about anything to others as long as they preface it with "JMHO but". Then launching into snide, near-bullying comments which they defend, when challenged, as "my opinion" or "right to an opinion", or "tough love", declaring that it is they who have been wounded by anyone who doesn't respect their ugly talk. I feel so sorry for the administrators there, because I know they are wrestling with decisions of shutting someone out and deleting their input. Bless their hearts.

Squash troubles - from my own experience I would wonder if it was "squash vine borers" that won't allow the plants to grow? I had that problem once. Also, considering the word "wither", there is a "wilt" that can be corrected with early application of a mildew resistance product. It is the same type of thing - called "downy mildew"- that happens to zinnias. Has anyone seen that - looks like a grey powder and then the leaves collapse, stems go dry.

Neither Dee nor lucylee have been online today. Something may be in the works.

OKay, I don't completely understand what this means, but I'm assuming everyone shows up for a rather big deal?

(((OKay))) Continuing prayers.

Well... whatever is in the works is in the works right now. DDil should be at doctor's appt even as I type... so we'll know something pretty soon. I am just praying for the BEST course of action for baby... not what suits ddil's impatience or doctor's convenience...

Ooohhh... I am nervous. You'd think I was the one having a baby.
Tomorrow is another day.

Somewhat productive - phone call to temple board member, then emailed him info. Emailed board with additional info about Wednesday board meeting. Moving guy was here, walked through the house; he thinks it will take two days to move us, not one. Shaped challah earlier and now need to get into the oven. Also downloaded a bunch of investment statements for temple and I need to do some work with those.

Haven't written for temple bulletin, and need to do that.

Up from an hour nap. Refreshed and ready to put in another 8+ hours of effort.

Harriet - I suspect so. We have been told everyone will have to show up.

I need to break out my cards for today and start checking them off.

Harriet, the mullion is sealed inside the two panes of the window, so the seal would have to be broken to paint it all the same color. I can't believe we got to choose the color of the door, but nobody told us the fine print, that it woudn't all be red!

I made a quick trip to the new house - not much done today either, and I wonder how it's going to look by our walk through on Friday. Builder had said that yard would be done today, nothing done. A couple more light fixtures were hung, and the tile in the kitchen grouted. I believe that the other doors - the ones that look uniform - are wood. We selected fiberglass because designer said it would hold up better to dogs, but there was no disclosure that to choose fiberglass would limit us to this two tone door.

Discouraged about the progress there.

Guy to take tree down is in the driveway with bucket truck and is making a racket. I can't let the dogs out. It really doesn't appear to be a safe set up to me, either, so I'm not particularly happy.

I'm stuck on writing for the temple bulletin, trying to get inspired.

The guys finished getting the tree down, I paid them and they're gone. I pulled it together and finished what I needed to write. Dh is on the way home - he played tennis tonight. And I'm heading upstairs to read.

Tomorrow (dun de dun dun...) I have to go to work again at the payroll job. :(

Nothing happening here. Just realized I haven't posted today. Been working on books -listing and packing them. Also trying to figure out if any have further books in a series.

Saw DDIL last night. Went there while DS-R helped DS-A get the deck on their pool. DS-R & DDIL gave DS-A & his wife their pool/deck since they rarely use it any more. DGS7 was sad but they're here all summer. DDIL is busting out her shoes from her feet being so swollen. She can't wear flip flops to work, so she's wearing 1 pair as they come apart. Maternity leave is coming up very soon. Baby will have fetal monitoring every few days starting this week. He's already 8lbs and they don't want him getting much bigger. (he's due July 17th but will be delivered by the 11th). Since she didn't have him yesterday on 'DS-R's birthday, DDIL is hoping for Sunday -dh's birthday -if not then, she's definitely hoping for July 5th, DS-A's birthday. But baby being baby will probably arrive when he feels good and ready. Dr. did say baby is 'practicing breathing' and that's a good sign.

DH sees his Dr tomorrow morning. Will be glad when this over -I think.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Harmony.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Hope she is getting good rest at night, Dee? Bless her heart... ... and her feet.

Before I forget again, Nancy thank you for posting that link in Outdoor Spaces and Gardens thread. I appreciated learning about the errors in deciding chickens are not intelligent and then finding out they are, of course. When you think about it, it's a terrible shame, because the entire egg production industry was based on the mistaken opinion that chickens don't know they are in pain or suffering, and now we know that's never been true in all these years.
