WEDNESDAY 'WHOOPS'

Post by DeeClutter »

Does your day have a 'whoops' in it today? Mine has already had two! ;) First I had dh turn on the heat and I didn't warn him NOT to put it on auto. So space warmed up nicely and fairly quickly. As I was going over posts I realized I had cool air flowing over me. Unfortunately the air warmed enough that the AC came on. 2nd was I poured too much (sugar free) creamer in my mug and figured, "oh well". Not to worry, hit it with my hand and had creamer all over the counter -lots of it! Hope I'm done for the day.

I've been up since 3:45! Just could not go back to sleep -haven't accomplished anything -just up.

Have to leave in about an hour and a 1/4 to take dh for his carotid doppler test. Then Friday he has his endoscopy.

DH & dneighbor have been putting solid 'awnings' over 3 of our pull-outs. Yesterday was the living room and kitchen slides. Noticed this morning that the seal on the kitchen slide is only 1/2 out. DH says they can't put it back in without taking it apart. Not sure what that is all about. Does this mean it has to be taken apart before we can close up in the fall?? I had things really cleaned up and organized yesterday -then undid it all, moving things so the slides could come in. Imagine they'll do the bedroom slide later today.

Congratulations, Grandma LucyLee! So glad to see your new little guy is here! You will love being grandparents!

Need to grab my coffee and head into the bathroom and get ready for the day. We're planning to drive out the expressway after dh's test to see when we can get our van in for brakes. They're making me very nervous now and we didn't hear back from mechanic yesterday -very unusual for him.

Good morning, Dee! I gotta get in the shower in a minute and get rolling for a busy, brutal day. Nothing like a positive outlook, huh?

I'm going to Members only for privacy.

Yard man here at 8 a.m., then on to work. Need to finish up some reports for temple biz while there with multiple monitors, and then be at community meeting at 3, temple meeting at 4 and then board meeting to lead at 6 p.m. Also have some other board meeting prep to do.

Good morning, all! Congrats to Lucylee! GS is going to need an internet name. Love the names Harriet uses for her GSs.
My name for GPs was "MaMaw" and "PaPaw." But the baby will name you when the time comes!

Stopped at thrift store yesterday and left there with a lampshade, a candle , and a framed print I had my eye on for a while. Whoops! New back door will be installed on Thursday. DH and I were successful in moving good clothes dryer from basement to second-level laundry room. We even got the bad dryer moved downstairs. Will find someone to haul it away for scrap metal or parts. It is so exciting to have a dryer that works again!!

Today I'm going to attack the shower stall with a vengeance...wish me luck! Been meaning to do this ever since Lucylee cleaned hers.

Oh, you're supposed to CLEAN the shower? :o That's one thing I haven't done here as yet this year. Of course we seldom use the shower in our RV. The bath houses here are pristine, so it's not hard to take a shower there. Plus it's that much less water in our tanks. I know one set of campers has to have their 1,000-1,200 gal. tank pumped every week.

Hear dh outside. Must be nearing time to go for his test. Later............

Good Morning!

I'm working on cards and time slots. I have waaaay over scheduled myself in some slot and others are empty. I am trying to set up a realistic amount of cards that can be completed. My WHOOPS this morning was having 1 hour and 17 minutes of cards scheduled to be completed between 5:00am and 5:30am.

PODA with firm timeslots -
** 7am = Breakfast cooked/served/cleaned up
** 10:30am = library reading/craft time with LO
** Noon = lunch cooked/served/cleaned up
** 1:00pm = LO nap
** 5:00pm = Supper cooked/served/cleaned up
** 7:00pm = church
** 8:30pm = MPB PM chores
** 10:00pm = LO bedtime

Congratulations to LucyLee and all the Lee family. Have fun with showing off the pictures.

Today we are trying to correct a Whoops. We are going down to try to replace our passports. I think I have all the info needed. We will see when we get there.

It is hot and sticky this morning but the breeze feels good. I always hate to shut up the MH when there is a good breeze but I know if I don't it will get really hot in here this afternoon.

Looking at cards in a different way is highlighting one of the reasons I have been feeling overwhelmed lately. The cards and time slots are not realistic. No matter how hard I work, I can not do 1 hour and 40 minutes of cards between 7:00 and 8am. I am energized by finding these WHOOPS. It will take a few days to adjust the cards to different time slots but I'm looking forward to having reality and expectation to being closer to equaling each other.

It is already over 80 degrees and heading toward 109 today. DH is mowing at MPB this morning to get it done while it is still cool

49*-80* colder than the predicted low of 56* over nite here. Weather is nice and sunny today. H. went in to work @ seven today. I have granny duty later on.

In a couple of weeks dd is having dental work done on both sides of her mouth I do not understand why a DDS would do both sides at the same time? Any guesses here?
[Maybe to get it done sooner.]

Don't have to water the garden lawn yet any way.

Hmm....must have done something 'right' this morning, despite being awake since 3:45! Did my morning routine, made the bed, took dh for his carotid doppler test, dropped our car off to have the brakes fixed today, cleaned out 3 cabinets under my sink counter. Ended up taking an expandable shelf & put it out for dh to use. It helped to not waste space under the cupboard but I couldn't really use it very well. Now at least I have my big crockpot (in a cloth shopping bag for ease in lifting it out) under there. Put a couple of big bowls under there too -ones that will be easily lifted out of the way. These cupboards have the baseboard in front and then the bottom is all the way to the floor so can't just slide things in. Much nicer. Also been trying to rearrange the living room. Moved a few things -now to decide where and which way to place the coffee table.

DD picked us up at the garage and will take us back later to pick up the car. DH's appointment was at 9 and we had the car delivered before 10 about 25 miles away. At least the car will be back in shape for our next 'test' trip on Friday. The technologist said there was SOME plaque in dh's carotid artery but guess we'll wait for Dr's take on the 'amount'. We will see.

Wonder how dLucyLee is doing today in her new role. :)

What an a propos title! The whoops here this morning was discovering that the bag of dd14's old clothes I had set out last night to put out this morning for Purple Heart pick up was missing. Last night, we were also gathering garbage and recycling -- and you guessed it. Dh thought the bag of clothes was a bag of garbage and put it in the garbage bin. By the time I checked the bin this morning, the truck had already come. There were some brand new items in there, tags still on them. . . What a waste. Oh, well. Whoops!!

Just back from a walk with dfriend. need to leave in 30 minutes to pick up dd16. I'm spending a lot of time out of the house this week, not good since there are a lot of things i need to do at home to prep for the party on Saturday. I was out of the house for 8 hours yesterday. I was taking dd16 and friend to and from VBS, to and from volunteer work at local crisis preg. center, and to and from drivers ed -- as well stopping by the dermatologist office to pick up info. for dd14, picking up dh and driving to nearby village to pick up the van from the transmission place, and moms group teaching team meeting. . . That was my day. No forward motion on party prep, just keeping up with daily necessary errands and meetings. Today should be better: dh and I will have lunch together (at home) and will go jogging later this afternoon. I was out for 2.5 hours this morning and will be out again for about 45 minutes picking up dd16 from VBS. Where are the empty carefree days of summer? -- I know, they're coming. Just not this week.
