MT, it's the stuff that is supposed to go to a charitable organization already! I told her she could take what she wants from the stack that goes to the "Junk Man" but I'd let her carry off the charitable stuff too. Tempted to let her have it and tell dh that the charitable org came for it....
It's not even that he wants the tax deduction, just that he's opposed to giving it away for nothing.

Re: MARCHING MONDAY
Can she 'meet' you at the charity place, Twins? Oh I have a devious mind? At least then you could say you "went' to the SA or whatever it is there.
Happy birthing day, Twins. When did that happen -that they became 2 decades old?
DS-R and DDIL have today off. DS has gone to H arbor F reight with DD. DGS7 is here 'hanging out with Grandpa' -mainly because DDIL would prefer he not be around GD13 with her totally disrespectful attitude. DDIL mentioned this morning how she has observed it and is totally not happy about it. She's said a few things to gd, but I'm sure to no avail. So hoping that this month away at a Christian camp will rub off on her. It's a horse camp to boot and she is crazy about animals -almost to a fault (over humans).
DH just said we are having 'potluck' tonight. What to fix, what to fix. Think I'm going to town and buy veggies for a vegetable dish. I am so tired of a totally carb laden menu on Monday nights. I am officially at my highest weight in many years.
Time to really buckle down. Blood sugars aren't 'bad' for the most part but certainly not as low as I'd like them.
Been thinking about Mamap too, Harriet. Know she was slowing down a lot and probably even more now that she doesn't have her church activities keeping her busy.
I 'marched to the laundry room and got my LOL done, folded and put away.
I had ours that way too, I thought, MT. Now, ours too, are "all over the calendar!" I know I have to 'deal' with them this week over dh's stomach meds since his gastro dr wants him on 2 a day forever. Maybe if we use up, pretty much, what we have and then have the Dr. write a NEW prescription for 2 a day......Insurance is so hard to deal with.I had them so all of them were due every 90 days - but with DH's changes in meds they are all over the calendar

Re: MARCHING MONDAY
Happy Birthday to Twins' twins!!
Day is off to a decent start. It is supposed to get up to 95 today, so we're not too far behind you temps-wise, Twins. We really need rain.
Party Saturday was very good - I may share more later. The meatball recipe experiment was a huge success! We are saving it. We did very well in the food dept., I must say - lots of variety and lots of it! Friends helped out. Some had asked beforehand and a couple showed up with dishes to share, including dfriend S who showed up with a huge bowl of puppy chow. Yum!
Yesterday ended up being busy: church, then lunch with friends so dfriend and I could talk about lunches for the inner city Detroit trip. She is in charge of organizing all the lunches for the VBS kids, and she and I are heading up the first lunch on Monday, July 16. We will feed about 200 kids, ages 5 - 16/18, I think. For some, it may be the only meal they get that day -- or so we've been told. The youth group meals are being organized by someone else. Anyhow, we got home from lunch around 3:20. I made some phone calls and then slept for about 40 minutes. Then, it was out the door again at 4:40 w/ dkids and S to head up to Lansing w/ some other friends from church to see Broadway's Wicked. . . . . Not much down time yesterday, though the show was enjoyable. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had been a little less tired and a little less "peopled out." After the party Saturday, my parents' visit, church, lunch with dfriends, driving in the van and keeping up conversations there, I was socially pretty spent by the time I got to the theater. We got home around 11:40 pm after a stop for ice cream.
Now, I'm just checking in before getting my day going.
Done:
x jog with dh
xbfast
x take dd16 to her first meeting with her mentor
x put away dishes in the drainer
x wrote a couple emails
x checked on a large bill I'd paid Friday. . .
Next:
-finish reclaiming the kitchen
-pick up dd16 at 11:30
-s2s and finish a.m. routine
-declutter clothes w/ dh; dd14 just came through with 2 bags of clothes she has decluttered.
Later: ds has an ortho. appt. at 2:15. I'll meet him there; he'll take himself from work. We need to revisit the oral surgery. I dropped that ball after the first consult with the oral surgeon last fall.
I understand the good feeling of getting the garbage out of the house, elly!
I hope everyone is having a great day!

Re: MARCHING MONDAY
Waving morning to y'all
Today is house blessing day. Temps have been 110+ for the last few days so I've been hiding inside big time. Did laundry most of yesterday, cleaned out refridgerator, and wrapped a bunch of meat for my freezer.
I'm feeling for y'all in the heat. I still have a few things to do on my porch and then I will stay inside. Need to swim Willie boy in the pool. I can't swim without him jumping in to be with me.
Since my son is now home, my travelin plans have changed. I'm heading home to my moms at the end of the month. Then sometime during aug my son and I will still spend time exploring some place closer to home...perhaps Hilton head or the smokey mts.
I'm glad Harriet asked about mamapiano. I've been wondering about her as well. Twins when I moved I took loads of stuff to gw. Kept a list, had gw sign for my donations cause it was a lot and then took it off on my taxes. Much easier for me than a garage sale and cooler too

Re: MARCHING MONDAY
Finally got the Wii up and working for DGS7. He's happy to have that to play here. He'll probably use it more after gd13 goes to camp. Hate to admit it but would rather have him (alone) than to have gd. She's not nice and gets horribly bossy with him.
Think I'll go to town and buy something for dinner. Later>>>>>>>>>>>>>.

Re: MARCHING MONDAY
OTOH, DH might be just as happy if the garage is cleared out today and he can park in it again....cleaning lady did take most of left over stuff which is fine with me. Her dh is going to come back with a truck later. I will just tell dh I gave it to her and he can get over it. (It also makes him crazy to give something away on Freecycle - he's told me now those people sell the things they get for free.
) Her dmom has been in declining health for awhile and will probably pass away soon - cleaning lady was telling me she's worried about paying for the funeral too.
Ds has gone to run a couple of errands and is going to bring me back a wrap for lunch.

Re: MARCHING MONDAY
Dee, I'm sorry you're having difficulties with GD.
I took extra doors, exhaust fan, etc. to Habitat pickup and they signed a paper, let us put the amount down, and CPA included with our taxes. Easy Peasy.
For a Monday, I'm having a remarkably easy day. Marching right along. Savoring the ease of things. It's not often I have this easy a Monday. Helped that I worked all Fri eve up to the wee hours and Sat. morning at my desk, and all day cleaning in the house. Now if I could just figure out how to keep it this nice.
Helped DH deal with cell phone problem. We have pre-paid program, automatically taken out of Credit Card. But, his service was cut off saying buy more minutes. Multi phone calls and on holds for long times tells us credit card was charged end of June and that bill has not arrived yet so not overdue...and cell co. says something was down and then back up and we went into the ditch at some point...still not fixed.
I'm keeping my eyes open for something inexpensive...coverage isn't great here and customer service non-existant pretty much...but the price is right. He uses it all day for business. Mine is mainly to talk with him and mostly connects me to DD2 who stays very close that way. I don't want to lose that.
Anyway, I've been doing that happy chore of pressing and ironing fabric prewashed last evening. All sorted ready to go. I did do 1 LOL and hung outside, about 24 pieces, all my T's and shorts and capris, I was down to old rags to wear!
Twins, I would have done just what you did. Good job!

Re: MARCHING MONDAY
Thanks for all the good wishes yesterday it was a good ann weekend for us.
I slept in today and am having coffee now.
Feeling a bit puny this morning am better now with some coffee,
after lunch I have granny duty with youngest of the grands.
Tomorrow both of the younger ones most of the day.
Need to dump trash before trash day in the morning tomorrow.
H. made the bed as I was on the couch it was darker in there and I could sleep longer.
I might try "marching" on my walk or behind the mower in a bit!
60*-89* today's temp. range here.

Re: MARCHING MONDAY
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Harmony. Yes, we could deduct the "thrift shop" value of it on our tax return but I'd just rather do something nice for cleaning lady. The wrap that ds brought me was good - chicken w lettuce and tomato and caesar dressing.
I need to get moving again on the packing...am heading back upstairs to playroom and my crafty area with boxes.

Twins - HAPPY BIRTHING DAY!!
DH came home and got LO to go run some errands with him That left me HOME ALONE!
I ran some errands that had been in "hold" because they weren't kid friendly (selling stock options, banking, etc). It feels good to have those taken care of.
CCC = 76
