We set our a/c to 78. I usually wait until temps in the house are 80+ before I turn it on. At night, we turn off the a/c, open the windows, and turn on our attic fan. This creates a lovely steady breeze through the windows into the house. Very pleasant.

Slow day here. I need some triumphs. I haven't even s2s-ed. I've been working on some emails - I'm trying to organize some things before I leave town. I've helped dh who is working on the electrical wiring in the kitchen.

One of the worker guys is here, working on something in the attic. I'm not sure how that relates to the bathroom projects, but it is possible dh asked him to do something more.

I'm going to have some devo. time and then finally s2s.

Devotions and dishes are done. Also made a blueberry cobbler. DH got a quart of homegrown blueberries from co-worker the other day. Remembered to knock down the wasp nests I sprayed yesterday.

Twins'--I am stalling, too. Seem to have a mental block about dealing with paperwork lately.

Blueberry cobbler?!!? OH YES!! dreaming of the good smells coming from ellyphants kitchen. BWTG!

Kathryn - guess what? LO just watched "Mighty Machines" on qubo and it was about the machines that take care of the big ships in Halifax harbor. I think I saw some of the same buildings/cranes that are in your pictures. :D

Blueberry, blackberry or peach cobbler! Dneighbor was over earlier and invited us over for cookout tomorrow afternoon - would be nice to take something if I can find local berries or peaches today. (Like I need more stuff to do?)

Report is done and on its way. Email from Kvetch wanting me to meet with her and rabbi. The rabbi feels badly enough about what he did to set her off. Not sure where to go with that. Sent an email re meeting with trustees so that's underway.

Trying to decide what to do next and it's almost noon already.

Good morning, everyone!

So sad to hear about Andy Griffith's death this morning. I guess that means all the men from Mayberry (major characters, I mean, except Ron Howard) are together again. At least, I hope so! Nice to think about them all being reunited... but sad to think about the passing of an era.

OKay -- I think you asked about temps? We keep our house @ 74 degrees in summer. I think a little cooler in winter. Sometimes 74 is too cool for me... sometimes, it's not nearly cool enough, LOL!

Triumphs...
Well, after getting up @ 7:30 yesterday morning to make the trip to next town to get computer repaired, so I could get back in time to go to funeral visitation for dfriend @ church... then Wmart... and hooking up the computer again and helping dh get all his log-ins reset after erasing cookies, etc... whew... I felt like I had ENOUGH triumphs, and I told dh I wasn't going to do a THING today.
However... I must
[x] go to drug store & post office & dmil's
[ ] iron dh's shorts for golf
[ ] type church minutes & email to secretary
[x] walk (Did 3 miles w/dh. I would NEVER have done 3 miles alone. Well, maybe, if I'd gotten out there earlier. It was HOT @ 2:00 pm!!!)
[x] call dmom

There. That's my 5x5.

(((Dee))) for having to deal w/d?gd... and for waiting time for new dgbaby!

We continue to just sit in amazement and watch our little dgbaby breathe every time we're near him, LOL! He is still in a stage where he just sleeps all the time, except when hungry or being bathed or changed. I guess that's normal @ one week old? He certainly appears to be content, but has not slept more than an hour or so in his crib. He does love his swing set on vibrate. I'm wondering how this is all going to work out... hope ds/ddil aren't "training" him to need to be held to sleep, etc... but I AM keeping my mouth shut, I think, and ddil says they instructed her to feed him every 2-3 hours. He will have his first doctor's visit the 12th. Maybe doctor will advise them to start stretching out the feeding times more.

LOVED the pictures, Kathryn!

Waving to all!

Hope I haven't missed you, Elizabeth! Bon Voyage, and I always get those dreams and then nothing like them happens at all.

Any idea of getting here this a.m. to CUOP went out the window. But I have read through yesterday.

helia, I am so sorry your dfil is having a hard time health-wise and hope he is better soon.
