Today was a bit difficult finding things dd's sleepover friend would eat, mostly hard because she won't tell me anything, but instead whispers to dd after it's too late to make changes. Sigh. Oh well, we're fine. They say they slept well last night, so we haven't made any changes tonight.

We're getting quite a display here--not fireworks, but thunder and lightning!

Watched some of the NY fireworks on TV. Usually watch Boston as we lived near there, but this year Kenny Chesney and Katy Perry won us over. Martina McBride was really good last year from Boston.

What a difference a year makes! Was just remembering that this time last year all heck was about to break loose for us. I mean that in a good way! DH had a job interview in our home state last July. We thought that after all these years away, we would be going back there. While in the airport, however, he got a call about the job here in PA. Long story short, here we are.
No doubts that this is where we were meant to be.

BTW, I dreamed that you all chose Cowinkie to tell me that I'm revealing too much on here! Thanks for listening! I'll shut up now.

I have some Betty Boop cartoons on dvd that I hadn't watched yet. I stuck it in the dvd to see how well it worked with my new tv. I have 6 dvd's of hers that I bought somewhere and each is 90 minutes long. Sweetie and I ended up watching at least 40 minutes of the first one. I didn't realize there were cartoons of other characters from the 30's included with Betty.

We were like a couple of kids watching Sat. morning cartoons. We recognized the characters, but had never seen thaose particular cartoons. They were funny and reminded us both of when we were kids. My nose is really itchy and so are my eyes...I must have what Katheryn has...gotta go find my meds now. Nitters........
