Color are on my mind this morning as I'm trying them out (in my head) to visualize them on the trim of our home.

My favorite color is pink....no, it's Yellow.....hum....No I think I like green better..... Oh dear...no wonder I'm having problems selecting a trim color.
My favorite smells are morning air so clean and crisp, fresh coffee, baking bread

OKay, I think the smell may be pure panic today. Dh is taking the position that the movers will pack up anything we don't get packed ourselves. Of course, he didn't get home until 8:30 and felt lousy himself from running all day.

I have a plan for the day - going to get rolling soon and work hard for the a.m. I've talked to dneighbor and the grown son with big muscles is going to help move some boxes for me today around noon. The replacement yard guy is coming at 1 p.m. and after that I'l make a trip to new house to unload the stamping stuff that's loaded in my car. (Ink pads, markers, etc. can't take the high heat in the pod, and I'l rather not leave for movers.) I'll do more packing back here this afternoon.

I also need to continue with routines today, tend to some temple business, call Restore about a pickup and get more boxes at the U-haul place

I'm working on a "plan" for the rest of the week in my head.

I very much enjoyed reading yesterday's posts. Thank you to Harriet & Lucylee for the review of Brave. Looks like Sunny and Harmony are having fun family time with grandchildren. Hope Indiana & LO are feeling better soon.

Twins' Mom ~ Good thing you have that pod since DH hasn't been able to help as much as hoped. Next time we move, I've decided to get a pod and a couple of dumpsters. I'm with you, I hate having other people pack my stuff because that results in a room full of boxes all marked "misc." and weeks of searching with no clues.

My car is still at the dealership for repairs, but they gave me a loaner for free. I waited there all yesterday morning while they did the inspection & estimate. They were super busy so that part took longer than planned, but I had my Busy Bag and they have a nice waiting room, so it wasn't bad.

The guy gave me the list of what needs repair -- all brake pads with rotors, back brake calipers, emergency brake cables, wheel bearings, misc. light bulbs -- as well as the oil change. (The car is a 2001 with almost 120,000 miles on it.) I was trying to decide how long I could get by without my car and mentioned that since they needed to order parts, I'd probably have to wait and do the work next week. That's when he offered me the loaner car, which is actually a rental. The dealership will pay the rent until Thursday.

This makes a little glitch in preparing for the sewing retreat, because I'll have to be careful not to get the loaner car too dirty filling it with my stuff, and I'll have to be careful not to forget any of my sewing stuff in the rental when I take it back. Oh well, I'll deal with that Thursday. Maybe they'll push to finish my car Wednesday so they won't have to pay the extra day on the rental.

Tonight is the fun sewing group meeting. We rent the meeting room from a church, and it has a full kitchen attached. The retreat starts Thursday in the same meeting room, and we've been told no one needs the room tomorrow. That means we'll be able to leave up all of the tables and chairs, and there will be lots of people to help me set up more tables and move them into place. Church people were supposed to clean out the refrigerator Sunday; they serve a lot of meals and the fridge is usually full of miscellaneous condiments and such. If they didn't have time to do that cleaning Sunday, we'll do it tonight. It will be nice to have other people helping tonight, otherwise I'd have to go early Thursday morning to do set up by myself.

I need to make sure I have a clean outfit to wear tonight, and then get started on reports. BBL.

DDIL is going through similar moving activities. I see on her calendar today that she has landscapers, plumbers, floor people and HVAC people working in their new-to-them home today. DSon is traveling so she is managing all these activities alone. Well - alone except for her 5 year and 1 year old "helpers"....along with 4 furkids. Her DMom has come to help keep the daily routine things going. Adding LO to the mixture wouldn't help much at this point, so I just cheer from the sidelines.

LO slept through the night last night so I am hopeful he will be back to normal today.

The smell for the day is fresh air.

I'm sitting at a picnic table beside the Presbytery office, enjoying the sounds of a suburban morning. The car had to be dropped off at 7:45 and the shuttle dropped me off on the main road at 8:35 so I could walk in. Now I'm just waiting for people to come into the office. It will get rather noisy here soon as there are roofers setting up on the other side of the church.

My day is very tentatively planned. I managed to leave both the cheque requiring deposit and the grocery list at home in my rush to get out today. I can phone for the grocery list and the cheque will just have to wait.

The car will be done around 1 and I have to walk to get it, about 2 miles. I didn't pack a lunch today so will leave volunteering at lunch time and stop in at the Subway along the way. I have a backpack for my purse and computer so I won't have as much back strain on the walk.

Smells - I love vanilla in small doses, basil and rosemary. I'd have to say my favorite color is green also. I like to think I can successfully wear the brighter greens for a pop of color, as HGTV would say; now that my hair is grey, I'm not so sure but I'm still wearing those colors.

I finished up that round. I also made a li%t of the rooms still to pack, and an estimate of time, and I'm guessing at least 40 hours to pack up by myself. I have today, Wed and Thurs, and I have meetings and other interuptions both Wed and Thurs. So we will be depending on movers and I need to prioritize what I most need to pack myself versus what they can do.

DH hasn't been able to help as much as hoped.

I am angry about it and having difficulties dealing with him. Until yesterday, he was planning to work on Friday while we moved. OKay, your ddil must be amazing to do all that with the little ones underfoot. I don't remember our last move with 3 y/os as being particularly difficult, although I think my dmom helped a lot. I do need to remember that dh is commission based and makes a good living for us. I am weepy on this subject right now, which is making things harder.

Bookie & Kathryn are both having car repairs adventures. I hope they go well. I usually struggle with when the time is right to keep repairing or trade for a newer vehicle. I'm ready to sell our Honda Civic and am watching for a different vehicle that is a better fit for our needs. We have reached a point that fitting me, 3 men size bodies, a booster seat for LO into my baby car is not a good fit. I'm not particular what I drive as long as it is dependable and right size.

We have high % chance of rain today so I am postponing our typical Tuesday picnic. DH has an errand to run in town later today and has volunteered to take our Sam's list with him. My love language must be "shopping for me" because I adore when he does this!

Dining room is my focused cleaning for this week. Yesterday i made good progress by taking the curtains down/washed/dried/rehung and deep cleaning 3 of the windows. I want to continue deep cleaning by doing the other 2 windows and wash the ceiling.

Today the smell is not good something burnt on the burner!
Green light for go with a perfect bs reading today of 101 yea!
It was only 95* here yesterday instead of the 102* that was predicted.
Today I've been out in the yard and pruned some things that needed it picked those off and put 'em in the utility trailer nearly have a load now.
Coffee has been made as well as tea two kinds trying some rose hip tea for fun.
Last night I finished a drapy hat and started a yard long stocking cap in fun colors of rainbow ombre'.
Got the Rx called in last night.

Next up some time today finish making the deviled eggs.
Chicken salad was a hit for dinner w/ the green salad & humus last night!

Good morning to y'all

I'm just peeking in. Need to be out of the house in two hours and have things to do before then. Twins I have moved over 19 times as an adult. Seven of those with a child under 7 with no help from exdh....he had already moved ahead of me...or family. Oh wait once with help of family. First thing I always unpack is my coffee maker and I make sure my beds are set up. Suggestion to you....make sure your bedding AND towels are clearly marked. That way you can sleep at night, get up in the morning, shower and have your coffee.

Favorite colors: red and green. Smells: fresh rain, coffee!!!, bacon and newborn babies

Done with that round - I only put together about 10 boxes, not all of them. I also took 3 Ibuprofen for my back, which is already hurting. Trying to decide where to work now. Since dneighbor is going to help me around noon, I need to be sure I have heavy boxes targeted for moving!

-upstairs pack the give away books in the guest bedroom, sort by those that can go to dd's old HS and those that can't
-reboot laundry (I am currently washing stuff that dd has left in my laundry room for the last year almost, so I can give most of it away.)
-try to finish packing up playroom
-open up the POD, I can move some lighter things out there
