Got up quite late -9am. I've only managed meds, s2s, breakfast, bed made and washed my hair.

Talked to dd earlier and she said all the dgks are still sleeping. DSGD12 still is in her soccer cleats and uniform. DD will take her and dgs12 home later to get clean clothes & a shower. Also needs to pick up ddil's suitcase. They went right from dsgd's soccer game right to the hospital last night. They are so relieved to see that new dgbaby is A-OK! I'm sure most of his gifts aren't going to fit or at best only a few days. He seemed so heavy when I held him last night. Thanks for all the congrats BTW. The real trooper in all of this has surely been our ddil.

Have to get dh packed for IN today. Made a l**t yesterday and I think I have it all down. :roll: Trying to pack slim for him since there's 5 of them going in one truck and both carts will be in 1 trailer. DH & DS-R were working on the cart last night when DS-A called and we all went to the hospital. Think DS took the day off so he can get everything ready. They're going to start out tired, especially since the driver wants to be on the road at 4a.m. tomorrow. At least maybe I won't have to go anywhere and DS-R will just pick up dh. But that means they're going to be leaving here shortly after 3. Glad it's not me.

They are on the way to pick up tables/chairs in the garage. I pulled somethings out of laundry room so I guess I will start there now. I have several rooms half way packed up (guest BR and bonus room and can't face finishing them up right now, so it's easier to start with a less challenging area.

I had a good run at doing chores. Most of the Tuesday and some of Wednesday are done. I started working around while talking on the phone and only stopped when I got quite tired.

My music friend called to let me know how her surgery went. The doctor got all the kidney stone and cleaned out the matrix (a substance in kidneys that inhibits stones in normal people but may cause them in people who form stones). Of course, she reported it as: "He got all the stone but I'm sure I'll just produce more"; and, "he cleaned out the matrix but I'm not sure if he got it all." She was also surprised that she was told to lie down or stand and move around gently but sitting is bad. She has never been told this before but I had to remind her of it over and over during the call, telling her to lie on the couch rather than sit.

Her daughter moved out two weeks ago and so she is at home alone today (her dh took yesterday off.) I told her that she would likely recover more quickly without her daughter there. Sure enough, already her daughter asked to come see her on Friday but, by that meant, "drive into the city to pick me up and drive back to your house and then drive me home after the visit." I told her to tell her daughter that she can't sit therefore she can't drive. I'm sure her previous slow recoveries were that she was expected to drive her daughter to and fro days after her surgeries (and even before she was cleared to drive after the anesthetic.) My friend won't say no to her kids and I figure that went a long way to hurting her health. Maybe this time she'll actually recover.

Wonderful to hear about Dee's healthy Grandson!

Too many people and events for me to remember! *waves to everybody* I can't yet keep you all straight in my head. It will come with time.

I have plans to not do much today. I may garden for a little bit; I may vacuum. I did get all the dust mopping done yesterday. Most of all I need to shred some newspaper for my com poster. I think I'll get started on that.

Laundry room is packed up;dh or ds just need to move boxes, etc. to the POD. Had a sidetrack period when they came to p/u table, then I sat down for awhile to cool off and just now finished up. My back is killing me so it's probably a good time to do the prep for the meeting and to s2s.

At this point, the kitchen, dd's room and the office are not packed at all. Dh says he'll pack the "office" tonight. The bonus room and guest bedroom are probably 80% packed and the kids bathroom, our bathroom and linen closets also not packed at all. If the movers are packing anything I'd rather they pack kitchen cabinets as there's little decision making to be done, and if they mark the boxes as kitchen they'll end up in the right place.

My stomach is a little upset.

Well, I've had a couple of ta-da's already:
* made haircut appts for dh & myself
* made doctor's appt for myself (ob-gyn annual check-up... ugh)
* s/s guest bath
* s2s
* talked to dmil on the phone, who called to thank me again for supper last night and tell me how much she enjoyed everything. That was sweet, wasn't it?

Now I'm waiting for dfriend to come over & meet dgs. DS is going to bring him here, b/c ddil was up a LOT during the night. Dgs definitely sleeps better when everyone else is awake... :roll: I have my own ideas about how to help speed up the process of straightening out his days & nights, but I'm keeping my lips shut pretty much. For example, last night, after we ate supper, ddil woke him up for his bottle, just b/c it had been about 3 hours. I just do not think I would worry about feeding a baby that was sleeping peacefully... I think he will let us know when he is hungry. But... I got just as much sleep as I wanted last night, so it's not really my problem, is it? ;)

Dfriend lives in Harmony & Sunny's state... and she is home visiting her family. I hope she brings her mother with her; her mom & my mom have always been good friends... her grandmother & my grandmother were friends... her brother & my brother are friends... we share a lot of history. (But you know, I wouldn't want to let her join our village. That's odd, isn't it?) I wouldn't want to share Y'ALL with HER, but it's good to have people that remember you "back when." She said she kept picturing me as "a little girl" and she is having trouble reconciling the idea of that little girl w/the new grandma, LOL!

(((BIG HUGS))) for the new mom & all of you, Dee! I am just sooo happy for your whole family!!!

(((Norma))) Hope all goes well.

(((ellyphant))) & (((bsweet))) as you prepare for the big days!!!

Sounds like you are doing GREAT, Twins!!! Just hang in there & DON'T PUSH TOO HARD -- I can see from dmom that back pain is nothing to play with!

Waving to ALL!!!

Very rainy here today. I did not walk or do any exercise before s2s. That was probably a mistake.
When dfriend leaves, I need to iron a few items for dh, and then I may be very lazy for the rest of the day.
Tomorrow is another day.

(((Twins))) It will all work out in the long run, just keep breathing and drinking water.

Lucylee excellent job keeping your mouth shut!

I had some lunch and then spent a while on the front porch catching up with my devotions (I have rockers out there beside a coffee table so it is a decent place to work.) Then I grabbed my outdoor pillow and went out into the shade structure for a 30 minute nap. Not sure I slept because I was so hot but I definitely rested. I should have dragged the settee to where it would catch the breeze better.

Got a call from the jeweler to come in to see the ring again, so we'll do that today, having dinner in the city, and then choir practice. Practice is nowhere near the jeweler and it will be rush hour when we are moving around but I still think this is the best use of our time.

I need to write some stuff prayers for tomorrow.

Posting to say hello without cuop as I'm supposed to be using the computer to pay bills. Our soc sec was put in today and there are bills due before we head home, which is the main reason for toting the laptop along.

Yesterday morning everyone pitched in to play housekeeping. Dgkids have certain chores they do every day & week. Then we had planned to go swimming at their community pool, but as dgd14 was showering we noticed a wet spot on the kitchen ceiling. They must have had trouble there before because there is a patch in the ceiling. Anyway ds came home from work early and got it fixed. Not quite sure what it was, but I think it was a fitting on the shower head leaking. So no swimming. Us ladies went shopping in the next town while the guys "helped" ds.

Dgkids wanted to swim today, so that's where they are now.

Guess I'd better take care of the bills; I'll cuop in a little while.....

Yes, I've figured that out, finally! I can only do what I can do.

Did meeting prep and some other temple stuff. Going to walk through the house and leave notes for ds as to what he can move to the POD when he gets home.
