Good question, Harmony. At the old house, as at this one, the invisible fence ran all the way around the house because it has to make a loop. There, the fence ran closely around the front of the house and they got no access to the front yard. I could remove their collars (the collar has the electronic thing that chimes and gives them a little shock) and they went out the front door never knowing the difference. When we approach the yard coming back they will cross the fence without hesitation as long as they don't have the collar on. Here, the fence was laid a little further out from the front of the fence so they would have access to the garage and a bit of the driveway in front. I'm taking them out the sidewalk without the invisible fence collars hoping to establish that as a "safe" pathway.

I may be done for the day. I laid down and slept hard for about 30 minutes until dh and ds woke me talking. My feet and leg hurt to the point I'm limping when I walk. My back and hands also hurt and I'm taking ibuprofen to try to help. I'm also crashing mentally - I was out of my meds for a couple of days (picked them up today at office) and that's made me less able to cope, and the stack of boxes out there is pretty overwhelming. I have found some stuff that I've been able to easily move inside.

Dh is playing tennis tonight. I might blow off the evening too.

Popping in to let you know all is A-OK in my corner of the world. just very busy. Getting ready for S and R and S's parents to join us for dinner tonight. Dh will be grilling chicken brats. I spent most of the day at the Detroit VBS church site feeding the VBS youngsters and then cleaning up; not sure exactly how many this year but probably around 200. No a/c in that church and the oven was on for the chicken nuggets. I slept for an hour when I got home at 4 pm. I left at 9:30 this morning.

Tonight, we're shopping w/ S and R for the food for the backpacking trip next week.

Tomorrow looks more open: just a haircut appt. and then picking up ds and a friend from the Detroit church in the evening. And I'll need to do my Monday tasks since today was spent in Detroit.

Maybe I'll skim posts a little tomorrow.

I know better than to do what just happened. I was ironing dhs shirts and I started getting really hot. So I get out a small fan. By then I wasn't so hot and did not plug it in. Once I was finished ironing, I unplugged the iron. When I went to walk away, my feet and the fan cord tangled. Both ankles, both knees and my hips hurt. I was able to go upstairs just fine and immediately took A leve. Then I started back downstairs and when I bent my right knee, I had a pain that was so sharp that it felt like it radiated up and out the top of my head. It also felt like it radiated down my leg and out my toes. I let out a howl like I haven't done in years, if ever. I have to mow tomorrow, plus I am having company starting Saturday and the bug guy is coming Thursday. I need to be mobile so I can clean. Like I said, I know better than to leave something unplugged and anywhere near me.....................

Oh, Lilac, how awful. I'm afraid I'd be tripping over anything too, tho. Hope some overnight rest takes care of it.

I went out to the car to get something out of it (I'm leaving unloading until tomorrow a.m.) and Moses slipped out behind me. The neighbors on one side were outside with their dog doing their invisible fence training and Moe wanted to play, but then Macs charged out in attack mode and Moe was trying to attack also. I pulled Macs off, then Moe and put them back in. The other dog - a puppy was fine - but I'm embarrassed and appalled at my bad dogs.

I am doing great -just tired. I need to reset my clock from 24 hours to 16 and 8.

I have been sleeping, doing mail and emails.

Harmony and Kathryn, just posting to let you both "hear" something at the same time.

Harmony posted 2 in the month Kathryn mentioned. On my computer, I have the same posted size of the blue, but a somewhat larger of the pink I can send along to Kathryn.

I fear sizes may be a general problem. A couple of mine have that problem... of not being any larger than the ones posted here. We'll see.

These are my current daily habits I am working on.

I spent 2 hours taking everything out of one section of kitchen cabinets. Scrubbed the insides of the cabinets and then started putting things back in an organized manner. Since I have finished, I have walked by cabinets twice and stopped to peek in to admire how nice and neat they are now.

Thank you Harriet. I wondered if you might still have them. Unbelievable that you could find them and I cannot. On DH's side of the computer, I found the jungle one I made last (I never posted this on the thread here) and I tried to send that one to Kathryn because it's bright and kinda cute. But it was really odd. I did the same exact thing that I always do when attaching a file to an email, click on the paper clip, browse, click on the file and hit open ...but this time it wanted to save it and I was looking for an "open" prompt which attaches it not a save prompt and I couldn't figure out how to change that.

Alright, you are all probably chuckling about this. I email proposals all the time, attaching them to my email message. I scan them in, save to my doc., set up the email, browse, OPEN the file, hit attach and send. It just came up different this time.

So much stuff I have no idea why!

Twins, I didn't know your Doggies already have experience with those collars. They will catch on quick, I'll bet. Hope they quickly become friends with their neighbor dog.

I got all my computer work done, change orders sent, and then did a bunch at my desk. Expensive bills this time. Ins. policy for 3 trucks; tags for 2; other stuff and it took a while. Tried to renew DH's license online but his continuing ed is not posted yet. I must wait for that.

I'm really burned out. I guess I'll go sit and do nothing for a bit.

I'm a bit disappointed. We knew roughly when we'd be going to NYC but just tonight decided to stay for the Saturday too since neither of us has to be in church on the 29th. So I went to book Amtrak (the plan was to drive to Boston, then to Albany, then take the train from there so we didn't have to drive in NYC or pay for parking there.) On the booking page it mentioned hotels so I decided to look up those. Found one, then decided to stay the extra night (what's the point of going for a too-short stay) and found a great, non-refundable rate. Before booking that I thought I'd better look for tickets to Harvey. It is sold out. All four performances that we are there. We could buy poor seats for $250 each from a reseller but decided to pass on that opportunity.

So we won't be going to NYC, just Boston. And actually, Burlington. Sigh.... We should have gone as we originally planned but I was anxious to come home and we also got to see our friends on the Eastern Shore in Nova Scotia (we would have missed them had we gone to NYC.)

Now ds has two things he's done that we haven't - driven in NYC and seen Harvey.

I can't find a place I'm happy with in Burlington either. All the affordable places are sold out. I don't fancy paying over $200 a night for there, without breakfast or free wifi, but all the places that do have rooms left that on our route (i.e. Concord, NH) only appear to have smoking rooms left (or I can pay $20 - $30 more a night and get non-smoking which I feel is completely unfair.)

I'm in a huge mood right now.

Plus I didn't do a lick of housework today. So the house gets worse and worse and my mood is rapidly plummeting too.

I did get the photos. Thanks for those who have sent them. Harmony, Harriet only had small ones left of your things.
