Okay....I bought a a Wolfgang Puck Electric pressure cooker from HSN. There are two versions and I waited for the more expensive one to go on sale. I think I paid $119 for it. Most all of my small appliances are from Wolfgang..with the exception of my coffee maker. I bought a set of his stainless steel cookwear 10 years ago and have been buying his products ever since. A couple of years go I bought his rice cooker and love it. All his produces do exactly like he says they will. I like using HSN and QVC because you can try the products, and if you don't like what you bought, you can return them within 30 days no questions asked.
Sweetie has told me many times how much he enjoyed his old timie pressure cooker. I watched Wolfie over the past year demonstrate how to use his. And because it is so hot around here during the summer, the pressure cooker sounded like a good idea to me. Anyway, when it went on sale a few weeks ago I purchased one. The deluxe version can be used as a rice cooker as well. You can make soups, desserts and many other things besides cooking veggies and meat.
The first night I used it, I also decided to make a huge serving of rice in the rice cooker...Sweetie will eat left overs and he is crazy about rice. Using the pressure cooker, I cooked a couple of chicken breasts, then added veggies...broccili, carrots, bell and red peppers, potatoes, onions, and califlower and cooked them on top of the chicken. In total it took about 45 minutes. Since Sweetie had cooked this way for many years I pretended I didn't understand how to cut the veggies the right way and he showed me how...Tom Sawyer would have been proud

Sweetie saw the rice cooker going and he said ...looks like Wolfie is in the kitchen !!!
Take some getting used to, but the food was great. I didn't do anything to the chicken and it looked kinda gray when it came out. But I knew that was going to happen. The veggies were tender and taste. I made Zaterian's (LA rice) and it was terrific. Sweetie said the best thing about the pressure cooker was he didn't have to run cold water over the top to cool it, plus I wasn't worried about it exploding.
The machine is very safe and easy to use. You just add water, add food, close and twist the top, make sure the vent is closed, set the digital dial to choose what you're cooking and walk away. The timer is set by itself. What I like most is the clean up is a snap. Takes less than 2 minutes to clean the appliance, plus there is a removable pan that has a snap on lid. You have the option of pulling your left over dinner out of the cooker, snap on the lid and shove it in the refrigerator for the next meal. No wonder his wife loves him so much!!!
I didn't buy this version....if you're interested I'll let you know when the one like mine comes back...they sold out of them during the weekend the pressure cookers were being presented and are waiting for more to be added to the inventory.
