Twin's: There are treatments in Canada. She'll have issues because, in theory, she'll be moving provinces and I don't know if the clock restarts under the new plan (i.e. the time she spends trying in BC doesn't count towards the 'trying time' in Ontario.) She also has to wait three months for medical coverage in Ontario, although she should have emergency coverage (the hospital just bills BC instead of Ontario and you are just responsible for the difference between the two plans, or you can buy a 3 month bridge policy.) I'm pretty sure major fertility treatments are not covered in this province because I've seen articles saying it takes about $5K per try here but Quebec will be offering it free soon. Not sure about consults with a specialist though, that might be included and it is just the procedure (clinic time, supplies, etc.) that is not.

I think shutting down the blog is the first step. She's starting school in the fall and is stopping trying. Unfortunately, I'm not privy to whether that means she is really stopping (i.e. restarting birth control) which wouldn't surprise me because she doesn't do anything half-cocked. If she's trying, she's full out trying, including taking 3 months to stop all alcohol, shellfish, the pill (so used something else because she wouldn't want to get pregnant in that in between stage when her body isn't prepped!) and added pregnancy vitamins and skim milk which was changed to whole milk when she read a different article. She won't chart her temp because she "doesn't have a handle on her bedding yet and still wakes up too hot" so she thinks that will mess up her numbers.

While I see compulsive behaviour in her dad, it isn't to this degree or I've been blessedly ignorant of it because I don't actually do the same work as he does so our work systems are completely separate at home. Or I'm just used to him but he's just as systematic as she is (i.e. he has to do his full workout in the morning, or none, but can't shorten any of the bits on mornings we have to get out the door earlier. He'll give up eating breakfast in order to finish his routine without compromise.

Geez, I'm surrounded by crazy people! No wonder I hang out here all the time, I need normality!

I got my weekly kitchen chores done. And practiced a couple of the hard songs with the music in front of me (I practiced in the car today - a great way to get in the habit of looking ahead instead of at the music!)

Dh is back from his friends so I'm off to bed now. Time for another pain pill too. Pain has been almost non-existent today which is a big bonus in my productivity. We'll see how I am tomorrow. Dh has settled on the songs for the senior's performance but still has to practice that we me and decide on an order.

Fire is headed away from our home (for now). I've listened to the scanner off/on for hours, monitored FB posts about it and kept an eye on the flames/smoke from our yard. I'm tired of fire dangers. I can't imagine how the firemen/emt/police do it day after day.

It has been a visiting type evening. Had a good visit with DParents in their home, stopped by the grocery store which means LO wants to hug 1/2 dozen people, then arrived home to find DBrother in our driveway visiting with DH. DBrother is a talker so getting the milk from the car to the house took awhile. DBrother is meeting with the surgeons tomorrow. Multiple surgeons. His 2011 shoulder replacement has been deemed a failure by all (surgeon put it in wrong). Now he has to decide who he wants to take everything out and put new shoulder in. He knows how painful this surgery is and gets sick to stomach just thinking about of pain he will have to go through. I volunteer to go with him and be an extra set of ears tomorrow, but he is confident he can handle it alone.

OKay, I'm very glad the fire went the other way. Sincerely hope your DB's surgery this time is a success and pain is minimal. I know 2 other people who recently had shoulder surgery. I signed up to take a meal to the one on Thursday but she cancelled saying she was doing well.

Kathryn, I agree with everything you told DDaughter. People put too much out there...and getting pregnant is such a personal thing. All that posting causes extra pressure she doesn't need.

Went out to jobsite with DH and took apart windows to look for existing manufacture stickers (which we didn't find). Got the laundry in before we left so darkness and dampness wouldn't sneak up on me before I got back to take it in. Did a statement tonight. It's been a paperwork kind of day today. Beside that I've been sewing.

Hello, villagers ~
It's been another long hot day. Dentist (6-month cleaning) this morning followed by errands and DPCs.

While I was in The Big City, I stopped at Target.

I found the glass water bottle we talked about, but did not buy it because it needs both hands to open the lid to drink. The whole point is to have one for when I'm driving. Instead, I bought a stainless steel one that is thermal and claims to keep water cold for 8 hours with no condensation on the outside. I'll wash it in the morning and give it a try.

Also found a 2nd watch to try. I bought the first at WM and I like its red leather band and easy-to-read black hands on white face, but when I wore it awhile it seemed too large. I guess it's the same size as the one I've been wearing a few years, but I was looking for a smaller one.

This 2nd watch is dressier with a bracelet-style metal band. It's pretty and more grown-up. Unfortunately, with not as much contrast in color between the hands and face, it's much harder to read.

Now I'm thinking I may keep them both, since the prices added together are less than many of the others I liked. I've often wished that I had a more delicate watch to wear with skirts and dresses.

I cannot get used to the modern way of not wearing a watch at all, and depending on a cell phone for keeping track of time. I refuse to carry a cell phone everywhere every day. In fact, I will often go several days without turning mine on. But I always wear a watch.

Harriet ~ Thanks for the reminder that I can get a salad at SW. I almost stopped there today while I was out, but I thought no, I don't want a sandwich. I can go there tomorrow and get a nice cold tuna salad with lots of fresh veggies.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to the library to help set up the annual book sale. The sale will be Saturday and it usually takes a few days to get the tables arranged and all the books unpacked and sorted.

I'm going to try to get to sleep before midnight. We're supposed to meet at the library at 9 AM. It's really difficult for me to be dressed, hair & make-up done, and out the door that early.

Must remember to pay the water bill tomorrow. I'm annoyed at the city about this bill. For as long as I can remember, the bill has come due every other month around the 5th, or the first Monday. Always on a Monday. This time for some reason they have it due on Wednesday the 1st. I wonder how many people are going to end up paying the late fee because the city clerk changed the day of the week it's due. Maybe that's why they did it, to collect a few extra $. I only noticed it because I was looking for other mail and the water bill was on top.
