Re: Trailblazing Thursday
I'm trailblazing today by going cross country to pick up dd and Z at camp as today is their last day for the summer. Will be interesting having dd home again in the new house. It's a 3 hour trip one way and they aren't done until around 5 p.m. today, so I have a good part of the day before I leave.
I'm meeting with the rabbi this morning and am heading out w/o s2s so have to do that later. I need to walk dogs before I leave and I've piddled around too long this morning writing a draft response to a disgruntled member.
This particular woman has been more trouble than the rest of the congregation together. This is the second time she's tried to bring me into a discussion of an issue long in the past.

LO will be attending Pre-K in small town public school. Pre-K through 12th grade are all in same campus/location. I think about 300 students. LO was the 23rd student to enroll in his grade. There are 2 teachers that will divide up the students between them....so it looks like he will have a classroom size of about 12 students.

Re: Trailblazing Thursday
Good morning, villagers ~
I've been working on sewing group administrative stuff over 2 hours, since 6. I'm ready to switch to something else.
I had planned to stay home to enjoy an Apron Day. Unfortunately, when I went to get something from my car late yesterday afternoon, I found a flat tire. Again.
DH put the spare on this morning. He said as long as I take it easy, it will be safe to drive to The Big City to a tire store. (I had a bad time trying to get the last flat fixed here in Tiny Town.) I'll go in this afternoon and take a slower route than the interstate.
Friends of the Library meeting tonight to make final plans for Saturday's book sale, and organize an event in September. Must remember to take the bag of books I decluttered to donate to the sale.
Otherwise, today's plan is to do as much cleaning as the extreme heat will allow.

Re: Trailblazing Thursday
I don't feel like a trail blazer today.
Weight is up another 2 lbs. I was bummed out until I remembered that aside from the corn roast yesterday, I had also had grilled cheese and bacon for lunch so sodium as well as fat was high. The water and working out was overwhelmed by the bad decisions.
Today won't be any better since we are out at a luncheon today.
My whole core area is sore from all the breathing I've been doing. At least the headache is at bay.

Re: Trailblazing Thursday
I have made up a batch of my home made un-sweetended granola.
H. enjoyed the fresh black berries on his cereal.
My B.S. is up today no surprise so will wait to eat.
There are no costumes at the church, so I asked if there were any other decorations there stuff is gone they might need to get some more it's good to know this ahead of time.
Holiday prep. is this mo. for me Christmas in Aug. in stead of July.
I have 10 puppets done now.
I got the tools lined up for the patio expansion pour yesterday H. will pick 'em up on his way home today from work. He wanted to go to the dump yesterday but we ran out of time, but did get the trailer[s] moved out in front of the house now so he has access with the cement truck for when we do the pour.

Re: Trailblazing Thursday
My trailblazing today was finally seeking out a new dentist. Missed my last cleaning back in the winter due to our move. I needed to quit procrastinating since one-quarter of one of my bottom back teeth just fell off last night as I was eating a graham cracker. I swallowed it before I realized what had happened. There is no pain, but that tooth is mostly filling, so I just hope the filling stays put! I have an appointment next Wednesday...the earliest one they had. I foresee a new crown in my future! Have read that needing crowns on the teeth is a sign of approaching old age--so I'm getting there!
So nice to share my ramblings with all of you. Won't be mentioning this tooth business to anyone else IRL--except DH, of course. Sending happy thoughts to all as you go about your day!

Re: Trailblazing Thursday
I have accomplished 2 DPCs.
The first was to the bank. In June after the house sale went thru, we put that money on the principle of our home loan. We were then to notify them so they could take the PMI monthly charge off of our payment. I did that. When the July payment was automatically withdrawn from our account, it was the original amount. I called and she supposedly fixed it but I couldn't recover the $62.70 for that month. Wasn't happy about it but could live with it providing it didn't happen again. Well last night I logged onto our bank account and lo and behold, they had withdrew the original amount. Let me tell you, I threw one heck of a hissy fit, to the point that I screamed, I was the only witness to this.
So I called this am and they had put the $62.70 on principle but hadn't indicated it as such. I told her that we had intended for it to go to principle every month but I would rather they withdraw the smaller payment and I can add $ to the $62.70 each month for an extra principle payment. She has emailed me the info, so I will hold onto it and see what September brings.
Recently I had received an opportunity to suscribe to D iabetic L iving magazine. If you marked the box, you could receive an extra year for a small amount. So I did that. I received a bill mid July and paid it. Monday I received my first issue and another bill. Not paying attention that I had already paid the bill, I sent another payment. This one was for a different amount. So I called them and supposedly she will add 2 years to the current subscription. I need to make a note to myself to keep an eye out for the next mag and see if it happens.
I have already been dealing with the A D A, A merican D iabetes A ssociation and their magazine. Recently we received an offer for their magazine. It was in dhs name and I subscribed. I later started looking and realized that my original subscription was in my name and was paid thru Mar. 2013. I had only received 1 issue since we had moved. So I called them and they have now sent me the issues that they hadn't sent. But now we have 2 subscriptions. It is up to me to call them 4 weeks from the date I talked to her, so that they can transfer dhs subscription to mine. I have always very generously donated to A D A, because of my db having diabetes. Once, I was diagnosed, I have quit donating to them. I get really angry thinking that they surely have a cure for it but because of greed in the prescription drug industry, millions continue to live with it. What my beef is with the A D A though is the snotty way they try to itimidate me into donating. I don't give into that kind of pressure.
So I have vented and hope I start feeling less stressed over these issues. Grrr...............

Happy ice cream sandwich day.
My trailblazing today is to move several things to open up a day next week. As soon as I found out I was going to have visitors I started on it and I have been spinning my wheels.
Instead of one meeting I'm trying to take care of it on the phone with no luck. Another one is some help on organizing and time management someone else wants. The last is some possible training I may be doing.

Re: Trailblazing Thursday
Ds has decided he will go with me today to pick up dd and Z. This morning the temple secretary caught me outside when I was getting into the car and apologized and we made nice. So I guess things are better for the moment with her.
I need to leave in an hour - need to s2s and clean my car out some and it would be nice if I would do some of a.m. routine.
-make the bed
-s2s
-reboot the laundry
-clear kitchen counters as much as possible
-clean out car and fold back seat into place
