Sadie - I am enjoying reading your about your trip. The cookie jar is a family heirloom. I'm so glad you have it.
I just took a peek at our weather forecast (I try to ignore it when it doesn't have anything different) because we were suppose to drop below 100's on Wednesday. ***VBSigh**** I shouldn't have looked. We just have more of the same in the next 7 days. A couple days ago a heard that was Day #26 being over 100 degrees so I'm sure we are over #30 days now. Worst than the heat (IMHO) is the no moisture.
DMom called this morning for our typical morning chat. She proceeded to tell me she has volunteered me.

DBrother will need to have someone stay with him for the 1st week after his shoulder surgery. She told DBro that I would be willing to stay with him and help him since I will soon have my days free with LO in school.

She also told him that I would take him 8 hours drive away for a 2nd opinion. About the time I started wondering why she would take this upon herself to make these decisions for me.....she softly said ">>>My First Name<<<, I can't help him. He needs someone and I can't be there for him. I need you to be there for me". THEN I understood. DMom is still grieving DBro #1 death and not being able to be there with him during his hospital stays. It doesn't matter that DBro was always surrounded by multiple family members.....SHE wasn't there. She can't stand the thought of another son not having her Momma pampering.....so this is how she is handling it. DMom would go to the moon for any of her children, but she will NOT leave DDad side and he can't go there.
DBro and I have been talking this past week about his surgery. He called late last night and asked me to research a couple things for him.
He has never used a computer. I've got those done and printed out to give him when he comes to check cattle today.
