News in J and C.

I have gathered all trash to the cans. DD had already done recyclables. So no matter how early they are tomorrow, we made it.

HRH and I had as close as we come to "date night" tonight and he brought us Waffle House waffles. Not really good for us but fun food.

Towels still in the dryer - I must fold, but then they were the 2nd load of the day.

Also hope that Mr. Dee is feeling better. It sounds like there is something going around.

Dd14 is practicing for the first time on a reed that she made herself! She has switched reeds now to save it for her lesson on Thursday; her teacher assigned her to finish one and told her she would play on it at her next lesson.

I was tickled that the Netherlands won a gold in gymnastics today. They're not known for their gymnasts, but I guess this guy was just super on the high bar.

Haven't really watched the Olympics here much. Been too busy. The pole vaulter (Suhr) is from our town (where dh & ds-A belong to fire dept) so of course there's been much ado about her here. And Abby Wambach is also from a suburb of our city as well. So there's been much here.

Just came back from dd's. She and gd are leaving during the night for FL. All of us were able to gather -and lots of baby to go around. He was so good all evening. Also had a a couple of other families that dd has become close to over the past few years. Nice night! DGD17 was able to come -surprised her dad let her, but was very pleased. She's actually spending the night at DS-R's so she'll be there in the morning to stay with DGS7. So at least I don't have to be up there early. brought all the dishes back from dd's so I'll do those in the morning.

Yep it was 106* here today hot!
Back from date night h. had to get shoes/boots for work or we would have skipped it. Got groc. while we were out needed ice cream.
It is 103* out now I have sprinkler going in back and watered down the front sweating now.
Laundry is needing to be folded.

Dgbaby has been sleeping in his bassinet about 30 minutes...
