Finally Friday Conga Line

Post by Twins' Mom »

It's finally Friday - a conga line would be in order today just to celebrate Friday; but if you have things to do to wrap up the week, dance in and out of the line and get it done today with all of us cheering on.

I need to be out of the house in 30 to 40 minutes to go p/u dmom for dr appt this morning. Afterwards, I need to head to old house to check on progress and drop off a payment. I've already told dh I'm not going to services tonight; perhaps, perhaps, I'll pull together a shabbat dinner but we'll have to see. The grocery store nearest here has challah for purchase from a very good local bakery so that's an option, or I might ask dd to start challah in the breadmaker for us.

I've already walked ddogs 2/3 mile mostly in a light rain so I'm done there. Off to work toward a.m. routine completion!

Good morning, dear friends.

I hope your time with your dmom is a pleasant trip today, Twins' Mom, and that she feels good about her appt.

Thinking of Indiana and Kathryn this morning.

Harmony, it's still good you try to explain to dh. I do think he is the consummate "people person", extrovert, yes, but he strikes me as a person who is tenderhearted and can still get his feelings hurt. I think he just has so many good experiences approaching people that it gives him unlimited optimism to ignore the negative and keep enjoying/attending-to people. It's interesting this attitude continues right though the pain he experiences, isn't it? I am optimistic, but not an extrovert, and I think that's you, too, probably. We can get "overpeopled".

"Overpeopled" - I still find that word Twins' Mom came up with very familiar and ... alerting... ;) . And it still makes me want to hop up on a table and look warily around!

I am still resting on the laurels (basking in the glow?) of a good Healthy Habits day yesterday with almost all my little check-marks in a row on my file card, adding exercise. Couldn't quite check off "Mostly God Made Foods" because of that (still delightful) trip out with dd.

We have a problem here - the dishwasher is suddenly causing trouble. Sigh.

Good Morning!

Thinking of DIndiana this morning and looking forward to her coming home.

We have a free day! DSon had a BF family from their college days surprise them with decision to come stay with them tonight. So, we gave up "our" room in DSon home so BF family could use it. It is all good. DSon college BF has children the same age so it will be good for them to get some time to play together. We will travel to DSon tomorrow and be there for DGS birthday party.

What does one do with a free day? Hum.......

Today is a travel day for us but not with the MH. We are packing a suitcase and traveling to DS's house for the weekend.

Today we will do some shopping: 1) Vent cover for top of MH that broke off while coming here and 2) Shop at membership store for vitamins and supplements and probably other stuff (bulk hot chocolate?) Then to DS's house in time for dinner.

Tomorrow we will go watch DGD#6 at her ice skating lesson. She is working on jumps.

Yesterday, I did WAY too much of working in shop. I don't think it had been cleaned since I did it 3 years ago. I used the air compressor to blow sawdust and cobwebs of the saws, drill press and some of the counter. Threw away empty containers and washed off the steel sink. Carried tarps outside to wash off as it rained most of the night.

Then in the afternoon, I re-arranged some material in the volunteer room to get ready for some sewing.

By 3 pm I was so hurting that I couldn't walk. I took some OTC pain meds and iced my knee until I could walk again and we went out for supper. In bed early as that was the only place I could be that didn't hurt. Fell asleep and woke at 2 bright eyed and bushy tailed so I got up and did some research on the computer. Back about 4 and slept until 7.

Have had shower and breakfast and feel good today. Will go wash off the tarps so they can be folded and put away and then pack for the weekend.

I am up (and down.)

Got up and ate some breakfast this morning. Just a small serving of Rice Krispies, 1/2 c milk and 1/2 glass of juice. It didn't make me feel worse or better. I did the recliner for a while and now am back in bed. Just too tired to be up.

Next challenge will be to shower. That will wipe me out for a while so I'm resting up for that first.

In the middle of the night, I was up for a bit so folded the laundry that was hung in the basement on Sunday. I'll have more laundry to do today. We finally have rain so laundry will have to done in the dryer or hung in the basement.

My allergies are STILL driving me insane... and doctor is closed today. Got my shot yesterday and boy... by last night... the sniffling & sneezing & itchy eyes... oh my goodness. I'm just miserable.
Sometimes shot day DOES increase the reaction, I think, when a person is in the midst of allergy season.
Also... saw dgs for a bit yesterday -- not long.
Dgs is coming over to spend a few hours with us today. I just pray he is not carrying enough dog dander on him to be causing this reaction! This is very troubling to me.

This is my LAST "vacation" Friday before school starts. I'm sorta depressed.
Aunt Flo is here, too. * sigh *
Is there anything else I can complain about?

There is sooo much I'd like to have done before school starts on Tuesday... but I just do NOT feel like doing anything today.
Tomorrow is another day.

Lucylee - you dgs does not roll around on the floor with the dog, I'm sure. And his mommy doesn't let the dog lay on dgs's clean clothes. So I'm 99.99% positive he doesn't carry dog dander to your house. It would be more likely that you might be allergic to baby powder or the softener DDIL uses on his clothes.

I came here to add this free Amazon book - maybe I should have read it first. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001GCUBW8/?tag=readtoday-20 It is free today.
