Moving On Monday
Today I get to move forward and hopefully will end up the day with more answers than questions. Or at least some new questions!
It is really important to not get stuck in a rut. As that old saying goes, if you have dug yourself into a hole, digging faster or more efficiently isn't going to get you out.
At times you have to look at the big picture and develop a new plan to turn things around.
And then, of course, Work The Plan!
So keep moving, but take the time to make sure it is in the right direction!

Re: Moving On Monday
I got up early so I could eat some breakfast. I'm now in the 8 hour food and water fast before the liver ultrasound this afternoon.
This morning I have the doctor appointment so will get the results of the second blood test. I'll take a heat bag with me in case she wants yet another blood draw from me. I have a list of questions to ask as well. I might ask dh to record the appointment in case our ears are shutting down as she talks to us.
Itchiness is the same, temp is back under 98 (it went up over 99 after dinner last night), slept pretty well, just up once in the night and my energy level is about the same as yesterday (although I'm taking it quieter because I'm worried about making myself thirsty if I'm moving around too much.) So I'm back in bed for now.
Dreamed I missed the morning appointment so I'm going to worry about that until I'm there. Dh has a busy day so I need to keep him moving.
Oh, and I found two ants on the kitchen counter this morning. Haven't found the rest of them yet. There's a slim chance they came in on the compost pot but I suspect they are coming through the balcony door which is their normal entry point.

Re: Moving On Monday
I've got to move on back to work again today. Up awhile, have read paper and walked dogs and will get into the shower once I'm done with my cereal. Lots OMM today, am keeping a li%t nearby. Nice that there's nothing on my schedule except for work.
I'm trying hard not to be frustrated with my house. It feels like dh and dkids not cooperative as far as trying to get settled in. Everytime I feel like I'm making progress, dh drags stuff out, leaves all over without noticing. This is last week dkids are home and dd started pulling stuff out to go back to school yesterday and I had to pitch a hissy fit to get her to clean it up so we could eat supper at the table.
Yesterday I bought a quart of 2% milk to go to work with me (for coffee and iced coffee) and it's over half gone because ds got into it.
So I need to work on my attitude, huh?

Treecutters coming this afternoon. Must go paint red marks on each tree, so they cut the right ones. They are a week early, but that's OK. Yay for progress! Good thing DH cleaned up the limbs he had already cut this weekend.
Loving f acebook--but have to wonder if this isn't a way to keep up with people without having to talk to them...Also am learning way more than I need to know in some cases.
Good luck today, Kathryn.
Twins--I remember those days of getting kids off to college each summer. You have a lot going on...

Ellyphant How much will the tree cutters change your view? Dh and I walk to the general store almost every day and one day there was a new view - a big tree was cut down which then gave us a view of the creek and the farm beyond the creek. For years, we barely saw the house that was by the tree, let alone imagine the rest of the view.
Time for me to get moving and dressed for the day.

Re: Moving On Monday
Sorry I have been MIA but my computer didn't work at DS's this weekend. Don't know why but it wouldn't connect to his wifi spot.
It has been a soft gentle rain all night and has been getting a bit harder this morning. I have to get moving and 1) get my blog up and 2) get ready for "work". I really want to curl up with a book and nap in the sound of the rain.

Re: Moving On Monday
Good Morning!
FOUR MORE DAYS! The weather people say there are only 4 more days of triple digit heat before we get a "cold front" and drop into the 90's. YES!
FOUR MORE DAYS! LO starts school on Thursday. My mind is reeling with dread and eagerness. I'm going to miss my little helper being beside me all the time........ what I will/can do with 7 "free" hours each weekday.
Work the plan! Last night I pulled out my trusty but dusty non-digital 3x5" cards to use for a while. I'm in a slump and need to change things up. Same cards just in a different format to capture/keep my attention. I love love LOVE 3x5 cards.

Re: Moving On Monday
Moving on? I think I'm moving too slow, to move anywhere. Have granny duty today for dgs7. I was sound asleep when dh brought dgs in. I awoke when dh turned on the TV. Thought he hadn't left for work yet and was checking the weather. Got my eyes open a slit to see dgs was already here. That was about 6:45. So far I've managed to s2s through taking meds and a cup of coffee.
Focus today has to be doing minutes for tonight's council meeting. In true SHE fashion I've managed to procrastinate that job for 2 months!
How could that much of the summer be gone already? I had thought that I would have dgs7 for a month -just figured out that it will only be about 8 or 9 days at the most now. School starts here either the 4th or 5th of September. DD started back today but their kids don't start until next Monday. Not even going to ask what they're doing with gd14 this week. Some things are better when not known.
Going to type out a to-do chart for him for closing up the rec hall. Dcampowner just installed 2 AC units (still have to put in more) and if his dwife hadn't mentioned turning them off, dh would have missed that step Saturday night. So will do a chart for him to check off -then he'll also have a paper trail for any special events.

I find I fairly often have to change things up too, Okay. Right now I'm back to 3x5's. Been posting some (in bright green) on a new bulletin board for dh. Now if he'll only remember to look at them.I'm in a slump and need to change things up. Same cards just in a different format to capture/keep my attention. I love love LOVE 3x5 cards.

Re: Moving On Monday
Kathryn, been going to ask you for days how you keep a heat bag warm until you need it. I also have a very difficult time with drawing blood. They've always told me to keep my arms/hands warm and to drink, drink, drink. Thus when I'm at the dr's and she orders blood work for that day -I'm never ready. So this would be valuable info for me. Sure hope you get some answers today.
Off to get my ducks (uh, that would be cards) in a row.

Re: Moving On Monday
Yep today I need to work my plan and keep moving on this Monday morning. An hour can make a big difference even if it's only a few minutes every quarter hour building on momentum through out the day.
bs is back up again this morning.
66*-103* another hot one today.
I've picked up apples.
I have sheets off the bed ready to go in the laundry.
Got to decide if I should do that or water first!
Decisions decisions!
Dson called yesterday to do some planning for my bday weekend [labor day weekend] dil's dad & I share the same bday. [This part is so skipaple. ]
When I mentioned this h. sort of came unglued b/c dd's uncomintal about attending. H. was a pill yesterday afternoon he had a melt down of sorts. Took that personally some how. I'm blaming it on the heat and him needing a vacation. Isn't it interesting the effects heat has one some one? ~ Sigh ~ He had a rant after wards we were able to get the chicken he had been counting on. Our plans did not work out for helping house clean for the pastor no on got back to me with the address. I sort of took it as a sign.
Any way when we went to get the chicken I suggested going to mac donald's for mini ice cream cones & letting dgd play at the indoor play land. That was a hit. H. & I could talk it got us out of the house dgd loved it of course other kids were there to play with. Dd & other grands were back by the time we got home so it worked out well. That was a good ending to our day.
I should go pick berries but did not get up early enough and the house needs attn. and I"ll be out & about and have granny duty tomorrow & Wed. so thought I'd better do it so at least that will be done.
