Moving On Monday

I have the laundry current.
I planted the posies I got a week or so ago this morning.
Did my walk.
Got trash ready for garbage pick up tomorrow.
Did some knitting.
Sheets are clean and back on the bed now.
I raked up some leaves that came down under trees in the back yard in the shade.


I was talking with the neighbor guy and his son in high school is not going to be here for the school year, so they will give me their two hens one is R.I. red and the other is black with gold hints on wing & tail feathers! I'm ecstatic but said I could not take 'em until after this weekend as we don't have any place for 'em yet. The other neighbor that had the yd. sale gave me some wire so I'll be putting that to good use. Dgd is still using the play house don't think she wants to "share" it with the hens! LOL!

Phew a hot one here today still 100* at seven p.m.

I am in denial about the kitchen got other things done instead. There's always tomorrow.

Now that we've had rain, the gardens are getting very overgrown with weeds. But there's no way I can deal with that.

I did send dh out to pick the ripe tomatoes I could see from the bedroom window. We had 5 grape tomatoes each. Very strong, sweet, flavour.

Dinner for me was soup, bacon, crackers, tomatoes and half a banana. And juice cut with water. I can't manage straight juice yet.

My childhood best friend called to talk about my blood numbers. She had nothing more to offer except that a tough virus might cause a spike and it might take weeks for the liver to recover and put out regular numbers.

Twins, I'm happy for you having attractive legs! I would think it simplifies life in the summer. Both my parents had/have spider veins that really catch the eye, and I do, too. I have nice small ankles, but they need camoflage.

It's Tuesday for a lot of you -- and me -- but of course I'm still up. DS & ddil are going to be pretty late getting in, and I may go to sleep before they get here... but dgs IS sleeping in his bassinet at the moment.
Dgs is VERY accustomed to being held... and he REALLY likes to be held... but after his last bottle -- around 12:30 -- I put him down and turned out the lights. TV is on, but not directly where he is. He cried for a few minutes, but he has been quiet for the last 30 minutes or so.
I told ds, when he called, we LOVE to hold him... but we've got to get him past this point of thinking he HAS to be held.
All in all, he's been really good tonight, though, even without the swing, and I managed to do two loads of laundry, also.
Good to start off the week w/dh's laundry all caught up.
