Re: THANKFUL TUESDAY
I'm making my dinner now because I'm hungry. Didn't really have a lunch today so that's probably why. (I did have a carrot, some crackers and some juice but no protein.)
Dh is out for dinner so I'm having a frozen lasagne. My music friend was shocked that I'd even consider eating lasagne but that's why I'm craving so I'm kind of glad dh is gone!

Re: THANKFUL TUESDAY
Erand day is done.
I'm grateful for all of today so far!
Took dd to a dds apt. then while that was happening I took dgd for date w/ granny to MacDonld's for breakfast playland was empty and it was great for a few fun quiet moments!
Thankful for that as an indoor play opportunity as it's very smokey out here this afternoon.
Shopped a bit and got some fun finds books for reading to dgd this after noon 2 for 25c. and one for me on painting bird houses! Shoes I needed slings w/out a back for walks gardening
etc. my others had a hole in the sole I'd wore 'em out. Got a gold purse new in the style I like with tags still on it a bday gift to me from me! And sarong wrap scarf.
Dgd is here this afternoon as dd went to bed the pills made her very wooszy and drousy.
Did my walk early today.
Forgot to say the neighbor got a dog house from the other neighbor for the hens & I can have it too! Another friend has a feeder. So my happy little song is "I'm getting chickens for my birthday!"
H. watered for me this morning as he's off today having some "cave" time now!
---

Tank tops & shorts are what some wear to our church more casul than I prefer for me. I like
to have a wrap thing to cover arms as they keep it cooler than I like.

Re: THANKFUL TUESDAY
This has been a pretty stressful day, at least until early afternoon.
Dh wanted me to leave early this morning with him so he could drop off his car and I could take him to work so I only walked the dogs two laps and I was in a snit because I had to be in such a hurry. I had a dental appt at 9 a.m. - he doesn't see anything that should cause the extreme sensitivity. I'm trying a Rx toothpaste for sensitivity and the dentist also wants me to see an ENT in case the real issue is sinuses. (His x-rays show my sinus cavity abnormally close to these teeth.) I had a congregant come to my office at 10:30 for a very stressful meeting about the rabbi, and then straight from there out to lunch for a co-worker who is leaving. So finally this afternoon, I'm getting a little done.
I hate to go home to the mess my house is right now.

Re: THANKFUL TUESDAY
x pedi office to get ds' immunization records; I can't legally pick them up since he is now 18, but I did pick up a form for him to sign so I can pick them up.
x library - returned some books on tape and got next book club book -- large print edition since that is the only copy they had at this branch
x home - emails and got a doodle set up to coordinate a start up meeting for the moms group steering committee.
x sent out doodle + email to the committee
I think I'll finally reclaim my kitchen now and check on laundry to finish my a.m. routine.

Re: THANKFUL TUESDAY
Probably am not doing much tonight beyond reading some and walking ddogs. DH is going to be late again. I'm so discouraged about my house and I'm thinking perhaps I should just try not to notice until the kids go. I hate to be an ogre. Dd just made cupcakes.
Tomorrow I am taking dMacs to the vet for blood work again, and I have a temple board meeting tomorrow night and need to get prepped for that.

Re: THANKFUL TUESDAY
OTOH, I'll:
-clear and wipe kitchen counters
-take out kitchen trash
-bring in garbage can from the street
-clear kitchen table
-start a lol
It's partly that I am feeling so over-peopled. Dkids yakking and bickering, TV is on, ddogs whinning at me.

Re: THANKFUL TUESDAY
I can understand being "overpeopled", Twins. Hate that feeling!
We had tremendous rain & lightening a couple of hours ago. DH ended up going out on a fire call to help close down a road. I was a little uneasy about him being out but the storm seemed to pass enough about that time that the close lightening lifted.
Now of course everything here is very wet. Thinking about going out for a short ride on the golf cart but it may be too chilly/damp.
Dh is just leaving for his shower. I should get my things together and go too, but I'll wait and do mine in the RV in the morning. DH is taking the car down -that sure doesn't happen often. It will more as the weather cools later in September.

Re: THANKFUL TUESDAY
Done, also did a very quick kitchen floor sweeping and arranged some flowers.
Ddogs are already pacing about ready for their walk.
I'm also feeling unsettled by the meeting today. Our board will have to decide whether or not to renegotiate the rabbi's contract, and the congregation will have to approve. There's a contingent that is entirely against retaining him, and I understand their concerns. I've satisfied myself that in my mind that we'd be better off retaining, when you consider a search for a new one, and that we aren't exactly a desirable place for a rabbi to land, so our choices are limited, IMHO. (The devil you know, versus the devil you don't? not that he's a devil at all....) But there are clearly issues.
And some of my unhappiness is being back at work.
Glad that Kathryn's bloodwork and appetite are improving!

Re: THANKFUL TUESDAY
Slept for 3 hours solid after eating. Good thing I don't suffer from reflux! I find that after I eat, I really just want to lie down for hours so I'm thinking my body isn't strong enough to hold me upright and digest at the same time.
Edited to add: just made Rice Krispie Squares. The cereal box has pictures of Christmas shapes on the box so I know this box is stale and needs to be eaten up (or tossed.) It was nice having them around when I was sick but I'm not sure I can justify buying a 'medicinal' box to have on hand. And, knowing me, the family pack size I bought last fall was probably cheaper than the small box. It had been opened to make rice krispies squares last December and sealed using my vacuum sealer.
