WELLness!! WEDNESDAY

Post by DeeClutter »

It's past time for many here to experience wellness. So good vibes abound for just that -especially for Kathryn & Indiana. If you also need this happening of wellness -wishes for that for you too!

It was terribly foggy here this morning, but it seems to be burning off quickly.

DGS7 is here. DH carried him in -really too much for him at this point but dgs didn't have shoes on yet.

DH wanted to go check out glasses today at his 'eyeglass place' about 20 miles from here. But they're closed today. DH had cataract surgery 3 years ago and has been using 'readers' since then. He had a couple of laser treatments but still was experiencing cloudiness. Eye Dr discovered last week that dh's eyes have changed some in the past year and now he once again needs glasses for near & far. So back to bifocals! Supposedly they will help the cloudiness he's experiencing. I was going to go get mine checked and I'm sure I need new glasses as well. But not ready to put out the $$ for 2 pairs! Especially since the pair I have was nearly $700 and that was at W mart! We went to E mpire the other day and they estimated dh's would be at least $350 with moderate price frames. :|

Good Morning Dee and all who follow!
This is a great title for a thread for me today! I'm up way to early. But last night at bed time I had a low #44 H. monotered me and gave me fruit, candy, ice cream, etc... and B.S. is way up  sigh But at least I'm still with the living. I took meds. having diet low carb. crancherry juice w/ diet lemon lime soda. I have coffee going.

96* 64* It's 72* out now so we did not get as low as they were saying it would. This might be a good day to ride the exercise bike. No mowing needed this week as the grass is not growing much these days.

H. is working later on goes in at 7:00.
Dd said some thing about granny duty mid day for me.

Sure had fun with it yesterday dgd & I were throwing beanie babies at each other running around upstairs I'm sure it sounded like a ruckus down stairs! Before that we had damp dirt and she had a blast walking in that w/ her bare feet and I had to help her hose off her feet.

Coffee is done I"m off to have a qt.

I'm up.

Made the bed, tidied the room. Put away the little wooden chair I've been using as an extra bedside table. Decided I'd think wellness today, even before seeing the Dee's thread.

Of course, having done all that, I'm ready to go back to bed!

Dh says I look stronger today. Maybe my colour is coming back (I don't think it ever left although with the weird lighting in this house I'm not sure how to tell - poor dh had a hard time finding a light to check the whites of my eyes to see if I was jaundice.)

I'll stay up at least until I've had my breakfast.

Dh was supposed to be back at General Council this morning for 7 but has been excused. Apparently they had enough musicians after all. He had a pretty good day yesterday. Had to buy a new pickup for his guitar and is thrilled because it sounds so much better than his old pickup. And his amp is easier to move now that he's been working out for a year and he discovered a few more features so is pleased about that. Although, around here there isn't a need to use the amp because the acoustics in the churches are so great.

Wellness sounds like a plan for today! I am working on a.m. routine and lollygagging. A pest control guy is supposed to be here soon - not the technician, the "sales" guy; he appears to be running late. DD is off to her own dental appt.

Temple bd meeting tonight. At least it's a fairly quiet day otherwise.

Good Morning!

Today is our last day before school days. The past couple of weeks we have been practicing getting ready & out the door on time. So this morning I'm letting LO sleep until he wakes up on his own........one last time.

My sleep is all out of whack. I'm back to only sleeping 4-5 hours in a 24 hour period. 40 days until the trial starts. I find myself going through intermingled phases of confidence, dread, joy as well as bone crushing sadness.

Good morning!

The topic today is great for me, too. Dd1 started back to work today. School starts on the 22nd for new to the district kids plus all grade schoolers. The 23rd everyone goes. So with dd1 working, I am on my own with my walking. Today I walked 1 hr. 2 minutes. At 57 minutes I was in front of my house but I kept walking. This will be my new normal and I knew I had to keep at it. My goal is 1 hour a day, minimum.

Okay, you have been such a blessing to LO and I just have to believe that the end result will be what is best for LO. You continue to be in my prayers, as time draws closer to the trial.

At first I read it as WELL ! as Jack Benny might have said. And wondered what was exasperating Dee!

Wellness is definitely an aim of mine every day, for the whole household. Trying to get dd13 into some wellness habits now, and then they will be strictly enforced during school time schedule. She is going to have a rude awakening - literally - when the reality of the 2-hour earlier school bell makes its changes in the upcoming year. I need to wrap my mind around that, for sure. On the road by 6:40 a.m. every weekday. Wow. January should be something.

((Nancy)) take it easy. Nothing today is so important that you can't take some recuperation time.

Twins' Mom, I hope your teeth feel better soon. How is Twins' Dad's pain? Did the dentist help him?

((OKay)) Take the time you'll have when LO goes to school to discover better sleep habits and discover what may help. Of the vitamins, it is the B vitamins that most help with sleep, because of importance to melatonin production in the evening. Frankly, my sleep got better when my hormones, including thyroid, all settled, and as you may remember, I had a doctor's help with that.

Good job on your walks, Lilac.

Here laundry is spinning, my ddad's breakfast finished. Dd had a sleepover friend last evening and I have tried to wake them but couldn't "reach" either of them. Oh, dear. A sleepover so close to school start was probably not wise. She stays tonight as well.

My ddad has asked me to pick up some clothes items for him. So that will probably be my outing with the girls later today when HRH is here. I'll find something to do for them, too.

Dd32's family arrives Friday, so another item of business for the girls is to help me with washing of linens at the other house.

Harriet, I was just remembering those days - we were in the car at 6:50, I think, and I went directly to work afterward on days that I worked. It's an excellent reason for an early bedtime. My kids elementary school started at 8:45 so it was a very rude awakening!

DD has gone back to bed; I hope she awakes and makes it to her 2:20 dermatologist appt. She's had an explosion of warts on her legs - has only had a few on kneecap until this summer when they exploded down her leg from shaving.

My sensitive tooth continues to throb. DH's dental issues are finally resolved. I think he let it go to long and thus ended up with a lot of infection.

I need to leave in a minute to get dMacs to vet for his first blood work there....hoping it goes well and they believe me when I say he does better when I stay with him. Poor dear is sleeping and doing a little woof woof in his sleep.

I'm assuming (not counting today) that that is the 24th of September, Okay? Have made a note & will be in continual prayer daily coming up to that point. With everyone here knowing what a wonderful mother you are to LO and praying for a good outcome for you and LO, you are bound to feel the peace.

Just took a letter up to the mailbox with our email address -which I know we gave to this company -one that dh made an investment (sort of against my better judgement) with this spring. So it will be wait and see. Given the fact that he hasn't worked all summer and is now feeling the pinch, I do wish he'd waited. We have $$ in retirement investments, but this was our sludge fund.

DD found out yesterday that gd14 doesn't go back to school until Aug. 27th which also makes her going to school a week after be dd is done next June. GD goes to a private school which has affiliates across the state of FL and this one is starting a week after most schools in Fl to be on the same schedule as the others of this group. Means gd is home alone for 2 weeks. DD is just hoping that their holiday/vacation dates coincide with hers. Part of these 2 weeks gd is spending with her friend from school. Know they're taking her to Busch Gardens today or tomorrow and she ends up staying over at friend's so that's good. She had her first appointment yesterday with her counselor yesterday -1st since school recessed in June.

All is well. :)

Lilac - a daily hour walk is awesome! POTB!

Thanks for the support. Yes - trial is scheduled to be 2 days starting on the 24th. Waiting is hard. If I knew the outcome I could start preparing to help LO and the older boys. However whining about it doesn't help anyone

A friend posted this morning.....

I've been thinking about new schedule for me for the school days. I haven't developed an hourly schedule but I know it will include 3-4 hours away from home. I will be spending more time with DParents and also helping more at MPB.
