Re: WELLness!! WEDNESDAY
I left here to take the 2 girls to shop a bit. I made it clear it was a shopping trip, not a buying trip, and besides lunch, I spent $2.00 each so they could have small treats. When I left, HRH was showing me an online invoice for a present for dd13. I thought it was very sensible and thanked him for taking the initiative to find something for her himself. By the time I got back, he'd sent me 2 emails about it and the total invoices will be nearly 4 times as much of a present.
So there I was nickel-and-dime-ing at the mall for nothing, because now I won't be able to stay within my budget to go back to the mall to buy her any of the things I could tell she liked (which was part of my reasoning for the trip). Sigh. I hope she's happy with technology and doesn't miss fashion.

All the B12 talk is interesting. Have been giving DH a B12 shot every month for about 17 years. His body cannot absorb B12 through digestion, so it must be in the form of a shot. He can feel when it's time for a shot. He gets tingling in his hands. His DM has the same thing.
How you do your work is a portrait of yourself.

Mystery Woman was here? I do hope she comes back.
Enjoying all the school talk. Brings back so many memories. I'm glad I don't have to do those extra early mornings any more, though.
Today was my dr. apt. This guy came highly recommended by dfriend who was unable to get diagnosis by 3 other drs. So I tried him.
He was one of those, here's what to take what to do...but don't ask me questions or for explainations as I don't have the time...it doesn't matter anyway, you'll never figure out a cause, here's an explaination sheet and samples of everything..goodbye. Pharmacy had to call them for dosing info for label and for insurance...'use as directed' does not work for insurance companies, though my friend says it does work for medicare.
I have a salve to use and have to put plastic gloves on over for an hour so I don't get this stuff on anywhere else. And a pill which I'm not going to take once reading the package insert of side effects and interractions (made me think he didn't read my office papers I filled out). He has me on prednisone for 2 days and he gave me a shot of something which I don't know what it was except that it is some kind of sterroid. I did get him to tell me it wouldn't interract with what I'm taking...
Had to tell DH I needed him to help me a bit more. He picked just this day and tomorrow to do a bunch of dental work..and I am just annoyed at all that. He thinks this is just a rash, no big deal...I can hardly move my fingers and my anxiety level is through the roof but ok it is just a rash. sigh...going off to bed.
Not much wellness in my post is there. Oh, the dr. says Vit. D is a sterroid. Well. Who knew that? And on the subject from yesterday, I am grateful you all put up with my moaning and groaning!

Harmony, I'm sorry the dr didn't see fit to give you more information - he must be dense if he doesn't see how intelligent you are. I'm also very sorry you now have a script you realize you can't take. However, this is why we pay drs the big bucks - so their poor nurses can do the work. Call his nurse tomorrow and explain your concerns about the script and the right thing will be done, I bet.
Gee, the comment "Vitamin D is a steroid" is strange and off-base. Sunlight changes the molecules in steroid alcohol in our skin and then our livers change the molecules more into the hormone Vitamin D in our blood. So, we couldn't make Vitamin D in our own bodies without our skin's steroid alcohol, but that doesn't make Vitamin D a steroid. That's like saying we couldn't make tomatoes without nitrogen, so tomatoes must be nitrogen. In a way, they are technically part nitrogen, but it's silly to refer to them that way.
Tomorrow dd's sleepover friend goes home in the morning. I still have a lot to do to get ready for the weekend. I've emailed ds and asked if he didn't want to do the organizing for me to get both dstepson and himself to my house somehow at the same time over the weekend to have a party. I'm so weary of trying to orchestrate these things myself, which I'm not the one with the schedule problems.
