Thanks for the Warm Welcomes..
I am a sahm to 3 beautiful daughters, 8 and 7yr old twins. My Dh of 10 years drives a city sanitation truck, we live here in the midwest in a 3bdrm 2 bath home, while I wish we had a basement we do have a large 2 car/storage/laundry area which also doubles as the girls play area, so we keep the cars in the driveway which is fine till the snow falls
I follow the old way of raising children so I hope I do not offend anyone when on rare occasions I post that someones bottom met my hand, the girls have routines/schedules that we follow regularly, but unfortunatly my cleaning routines and schedules leave something to be desired.
I love reading and scrapbooking:)
So that is me.

Two letters, two letters of complaint I have to write.

Blood draw went flawlessly except for a long wait which we expected. Dh gassed up the car while I was waiting.

Went to the new, mega drug store in the village. It opened 2 weeks ago. They had a big sign up saying milk $3.99 but it was $4.29 unless I had an Optimum card (free.) Didn't want one, wanted the milk at the price on the sign by the road. Made a stink. Got it. I swear, having to fight to pay for food at the advertised price is not right. Had dh take photos of the signage on the way out. Since they don't have an email address for the store, I'll send a letter by mail with a CC to the appropriate government department.

Frustration plus, Kathryn. I have the same gripe with gas stations in the states who have a price posted on their signs and then have to really search for the sign that says their card or cash only.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO Harriet's DD today -now we have to call her DD14?

DH & I went on a search for new glasses for him. Went to Empire V ision last week & they told dh it would be at least $350. Today we went to W mart first & same lenses & the frames he picked out came to $87! We may go back and get him a second pair with anti-glare protection for night driving etc. That's one of his biggest complaints since having cataract surgery 3 years ago. Supposedly regular glasses are now needed to help correct a problem he has of cloudiness. And I thought cataract surgery would correct all this.

I've accomplished little since we've been gone most of the day. Slowly rearranging things around here. Have office type stuff here 'n there and would like to get it pretty much in one place or 'hidden'. Being in an RV is somewhat limiting to finding those kind of places. I do have more storage cabinets, etc because it's a 'park model' but still an RV.

Don't have dgs7 today so I SHOULD go do a load of laundry. I'll see. First though I have to heat water and do dishes.

Got a letter off in the mail. I'm working on another letter missed the mail today for that one sigh oh well.

Walk moved bricks from under half of the play house a great arm work out move lumber out from under the shed yesterday.

On the Knitting show I learned something today so it was SO worth my time to watch.

4 grands were over yesterday so it was a busy day we made strawberry pumpkin bread it was a hit they ate nearly all of it! I guess I'd better write that recipe down. This is the last week for the girls they start their fall schedule next week.

Today 2 at most here for a bit mid-day.

I need to pay attn. to inside stuff living room is okay, kitchen and bedroom are next up!

Voting today at General Council is for our new Moderator. The one person I knew who was running has been dropped off and they are waiting the results of the third round of voting. I think I'll have to take my laptop to bed with me because I can't sit up any longer.

I dusted today. And kept up with dailies too.

Keeps clouding up around here, I'm hoping it means rain soon.

Had my annual evaluation last night at work. Both immediate supervisors wrote really nice things about my work. I got an exceeds overall. Means bigger raise than normal so I was very happy that they noticed and rewarded me.

Going to exercise, start dishwasher, shower and then read awhile.

I lost my post Oh well it is not the first nor the last thing I ever lose.
Doing pretty good today..shocking I know, forgot to include laundry so I can put big smiles on getting the girls uniforms washed, and the twins bed linens/bath towels done.
Still need to, complete the kitchen cleanup, plan next week's meals, along with a start for grocery shopping, and make the pasta salad for dinner tonite.
Here is what will happen when the girls get home, so after today I will just say girls after school routine.
Change to play clothes/snack/empty bookbag-lunchbox give Mommy papers.
Assigned chores..each day is a different chore
8..feed/water pets(a dog and cat) clean litter box
7.1..Set table for dinner/Clear table after dinner
7.2..Empty all trash/take can to curb..(daddy helps push)
Playtime till dinner..if weather permits outside they go,if not to the playroom..we dont allow tv on most weekdays.
Need to get moving will be back later

BWTG on those accomplishments!!

I'm making steady progress. Most every card is taking longer than the timed amount I have on them. I'm so far behind in all areas. I know it takes awhile to get all the plates organized & spinning again......although I do have hope that I can work through the backlog in a quick manner.

Feeling quite irritated but will try to keep a positive attitude. I just found out that registration for hs freshmen is not Monday, Aug. 20 but Tuesday, Aug. 21. I feel so sure that originally they said Monday, Aug. 20 -- which was why I told dh in the spring that it was OK to book the tix that evening. Argh!!! Now, dd14 can't register for school until the first day of school!! So, we can't walk the halls to locate her locker and all her classes. I guess we will go very early that first day. I just hope everything is OK with her schedule.

a.m. routine is done. I made a couple phone calls; asked re: the derm. appt. the Dr. said dd14 was to have in September. Sure enough, it was on their books -- now why hadn't they called to let ME know that as the Dr. had said they would?

Highlight: I called a nearby synagogue and asked about adult ed Hebrew classes in the fall. The admin. was so helpful and welcoming, and I got registration info in my email box within 10 minutes of my phone call! She seemed tickled that I had called; I was tickled by her response! They seem to be open to community members joining their classes.

I am working through a mountain of laundry that dh did. Every since he took over laundry during my Hebrew project last semester, he will occasionally take over when he feels I'm behind -- which is generally very helpful, but he doesn't fold it all and he doesn't put any of it away and he doesn't make an effort to take clothes out immediately and fold them so they tend to be wrinkled. And he doesn't put towels in the dryer so they are rough, which he loves but the kids don't. Anyhow, we washed ALL the bedding and clothes, etc. in the dgirls' room last week to squelch the flea problem, so I did get behind. Dd14 thought she was getting bitten, thus the rigorous campaign. Everything, including the dog and cat, subsequently got sprayed w/ flea poison. Pepper and Lily are now coated in chemicals, inside and out.

Hmmm..... I seem to be in a snarky mood. Sorry about that, ladies!

I'm enjoying hearing about your household and routines, Bernice. I have a ds18, a dd16, and a dd14. I like your specific lists! I'll try to emulate; that will be helpful in keeping me on track:

Todo before dinner guests arrive around 7:
1. fold all laundry on the laundry room counter
2. put away all laundry on the laundry room counter
3. do 2 new loads - wash, dry, fold, away (in process)
4. put away pile of blankets on the play room sofa
5. start the breadmaker -- I need to do this first! I think friends are arriving at 7 pm.
6. Quick tidy of living areas
7. Quick vacuum of living areas
8. make sure main bathroom is clean
9. do the chopping and dicing for dh so when he gets home around 6 pm, he'll be ready to make the curry; he doesn't want me to cook it.

Thinking of OK with LO's first day of school. . .
