We can start with an idea and build from it. I often think of Dee's quote - just starting seems to be the hardest part for me.All projects start with a big blob of vagueness.

Re: Tuesday Tangible Goals
I started at roughly the same time as OK, with Tuesday Triumphs
BTW: OKay, <insert shamefaced blush, here> I meant to tell you I finally placed OK in my mind's eye of the US map. Seriously, I had it over where NM is. Didn't realize you were as close to my time zone as you are. Always thought you were on Mountain time as a result. Glad to know you aren't getting up as early as I thought you were.
Funny how OKay and I had similar themes for the day.Let's have a few triumphs today!
OKay will get that living room floor cleared off, sanded, and urethaned. Just kidding!
Harmony will get to a doctor and start the process of having her records transferred.
Harriet will develop a new trick for keeping her dad off the couch long enough to clean (have you thought of giving him a jar of buttons and asking him to sort them for you?!)
Elizabeth will get two job applications sent today.
Helia will keep on doing what she always does because she is so productive.
Dee will learn to take a rest when she needs it.
Twins will get some more boxes unpacked.
And the rest of you will add your triumphs as the day goes along.
Me? I'll get the results of my ultrasound.

Re: Tuesday Tangible Goals
LO up and drinking a cup of milk while waking up. It takes him about 15 minutes for his energy level to zoom up to his normal level.
Today PODA -
** Living room cleanse continue. This morning I've taken about 100 books (Louis L'amour collection) out of the TV stand and moved into dining room. Next there are the cazillion cables/wires to sort through. I was able to disconnect a bundle of them that was left from when we had satellite TV service. The rest of the mass of cables/wires will have to be traced to it's source and decision made to keep/organize or get rid of.
** LO to counselor appt. This will be my first time pulling LO out of school so I will build-in extra time to go through the check-out procedure.
My normal wake up is 5:00 am. I try not to come to the PC until 6:30. Try. Rarely accomplished. Usually i peek in before that time.

Re: Tuesday Tangible Goals
I've been 'resting' this morning. Oh, wrong time? Dgs7 is clamoring for breakfast. Told him "as soon as I have my coffee". He's supposed to play with a nearby neighbor -hopefully at friend's (aren't I awful?) Actually I need ti get out my knee brace & use it today.
Kathryn, just idle curiosity here, but has anyone ever considered or tested for e-coli? Last night something triggered a memory of dShelley having many of your symptoms for some time. She was being treated for a severe kidney infection when the Dr called her to see if she was feeling any better. "No, in fact worse". He was not surprised -tests came back with an e-coli diagnosis. Don't remember what treatment followed. That was probably 6 or 7 years ago.

And my question is: how do cable, computer wires, etc. ALWAYS seem to become a jumbled mess when one puts them in nice & orderly? Are there cable gremlins at work?cazillion cables/wires to sort through.

Good morning, villagers ~
Back to something resembling normal schedule. Yay!
So far this morning, I have been dealing with Emails.
Now I can cuop while I drink my coffee.

Re: Tuesday Tangible Goals
Good morning all! Nice themes to start the day, both of you! I tend to feel like a blob of vagueness in all I do, OK! I like the idea of triumphs too, Kathryn. I think I tend to be hard on myself. I hardly ever think of myself as having triumphs. I tend to see the mistakes I make and the the things I don't get done each day instead -- I just need to be positive and see triumphs for what they ever, even if they're small ones.
DS' roommate is from Oklahoma City, so I always think of OK when I think of him. Although, he has yet to respond to ds' email greeting a couple weeks ago.
Kathryn, I can't believe you still don't feel 100%. I wonder if I missed test results this weekend? I wasn't here over the weekend.
Dee, that is so admirable that you care for dgs7 every day!
Hi Bookie! Normal is good!
Dh and the girls got off last night. This is both exciting and scary - 11 days with just ds and me. I'm hoping to keep from melting into a puddle of undisciplined non-productivity, which is very much not out of the realm of possibilities. LOL! I am not a very disciplined person; I need a lot of accountability, thus I work best with others alongside me -- like you all here. Although, dh still doesn't like my posting here, not b/c he doesn't like you all, but b/c he knows how distracted I can get on this machine. I don't think he even realizes I'm posting here again after my last hiatus.
Hard news last night that kept me up a bit in the night. Dh forwarded an email to me (from the plane, maybe? or the airport at least) about a teen in our church who took her own life yesterday. She was - I can't believe I'm speaking of her in past tense - the same age as dd16. We didn't know her well, but we did know who she was, and we know her parents a little. Unblievably sad. I can't even imagine what her parents and brothers are going through right now. They certainly have been on my mind and in my prayers since. In our church, this is the 3rd child parents have had to bury since January. That just doesn't feel right.
Alright, back to my day. I am up and sipping tea. Ds has gone off to work. I've fed the dog. My first goal today is to get over to the high school for freshman registration and see if they'll let me register dd14 w/out her being there in person. sherinjoy and maybe Harriet? suggested this, and a friend I saw at the music camp said she's doing the same thing for her freshman ds.
So, off to s2s. . .

Re: Tuesday Tangible Goals
K in C I to echo what Dee said.
Hen pen roof frame is done wire is on it, Then we will raise it up on the posts.
Then the metal sheeting is goes on.
But h. is working today so it will be a while before it is done. We made good progress this week on it and nearly met the goal of getting the roof part up.
Got a scratch on my nose doing this but it seems to be healing up well!
BS was great today and yesterday yea!
I have granny duty today most of the day.

Re: Tuesday Tangible Goals
The above is belated, btw!
helia, that was sherinjoy - I was just hoping they'd let you pick a different time for her to walk through the school and familiarize herself with classrooms, etc.
Kathryn, I'd have to pick something more manly for sure! LOL! Besides, he'd want to do that on the couch.
Wanted to come back last evening to post but the mother of the new sleepover friend got her home later than expected at 8:00 p.m., then brought her 2 daughters in (the other is 6) and stayed and chatted until 10:00 pm!! I'm glad she enjoyed our home but wow, I certainly don't have this kind of time
and part of the conversation was that these girls need to get accustomed to a 9:30 lights-out for this early-early school schedule! So, we were late for everything and I didn't even know ya'll had discussed that it was bittersweet's bday.
The house did look good - older daughter complimented. The walkways and porch looked very nice as I had gotten out there yesterday midday and swept down the porch, rearranged the porch furniture. When I say "the house looked good" I mean the front rooms, of course. It will take a while to redeem the rest after 3 little grandboys' visit.
