Harriet: Screws! Have him sort screws! And he'll need a tray and a table top on which to do it.

Either that or we have to find him some 'chore' he can do alongside you while you clean.

Helia: No diagnosis. Just sick. Haven't even got an appointment with the specialist yet but he'll be exploring auto-immune stuff (Chronic Fatigue, fibromyalgia, MS) and leukemia also shows up in some of reading I've done (the white blood cells that are off could be caused by that.) I have a number of WBC without nuclei so that's concerning.

I suspect e coli is not considered because there's no fever, cramping, diarrhea, or feeling faint. Just tiredness. But there might have been a test earlier on (I'm too lazy to go look that up.)

All I've got is a slightly elevated temp, 1 to 2*F higher than my normal which puts the highest its been at 99.5.

It still isn't at normal but lately has been in a range .6 - 1* higher than my normal, spiking only if I get overtired.

On thing about my white blood cells is that the report not only breaks down my WBC count but also what kinds of WBCs there are. That's what is pointing towards auto-immune (since we've eliminated hepatitis and mono which are the most obvious cause.) Before this, I didn't know that doctors can use the kind of WBCs as a diagnostic tool.

Good Morning Ladies
7.1 had a really rough nite with tummy troubles, hoping it is from the antibiodics. Her fever has come down some but has not broken.
I have a load of sick bedding washed and in the dryer, and another going in the washer, my plans are to clean/clorox(really good) her room and the bathroom, and then tonite the livingroom did the kitchen last nite...hoping to prevent the other two from getting sick, but school is back in session and I know sickness is going to follow them home no matter what I do
Hope you all have a great day.

Taking a break with a 15 minute timer to make sure I don't get sidetracked & forget what I want to accomplish today. :)

LO had a new classmate this morning that was not happy about turning loose of his Momma. I could tell that his crying unsettled all the children. LO held onto my fingers all the way to his chair, instead of being ready to turn loose of me at the door. A little set back from yesterdays progress, but hopefully just a little bleep on the road to preschool independence. :)

Living room is finally completely emptied. I've swept, SH-mopped and now am in progress of sanding and hand washing each board before applying the first coat of polyurethane . I had hopes I could get the first coat applied before leaving for LO appt, but I'm discovering the sanding/washing isn't going to go that fast. Now my revised TANGIBLE GOAL is to get the first coat on sometime today before bedtime.

A VDFriend called and asked me to help plan/prepare/coordinate their son and another young man upcoming trip.....experience of a lifetime? Tentative plans are that his DSon & friend will attend one semester of college (just graduated from high school) then take off on this mission type trip. They will leave here the 1st part of Feb 2013 and travel by horseback to the North Pole, Alaska. They will be stopping all along the route to speak at various churches. They also would like to find people between here/there to let them spend the night and maybe provide them with a pot of beans or something for a hot meal. They would like to develop a website putting together all the details of their trip with a map showing their planned route, speaking engagements and hopefully volunteers that will take them in for a night as they travel. I did say I would help, but didn't commit to being in charge of anything (website development, contacting people, etc) until I hear more what they expect.

It's funny because I'd decided tonight I'm not doing anything special -it'll be what it is. And actually I'm pretty pleased with things right now. The only thing I really want to do is straighten the washer closet in our bathroom -for ME! It'll be just usual sweeping & dusting from there on. I'm satisfied right now.
My tangible goal for today and days to come is to continue feeling satisfied with things the way they are and just doing 'my thing' each day.-for US!

Today is focus on the 'dining room' -which isn't very big. Consists of the table which has most of my office type stuff on and our little portable fireplace, the chairs (each with their own storage under seats) and a small "candle" cabinet behind the chairs. Just have a few books to remove from there. But it probably will take me a while to clear up all the 'paper work'.

One very definite goal for today is to call to pay the rest of car insurance -due today.

dgs7 has gone to play & have lunch with a friend of his. Imagine he'll be back by 1 or2.

It was 48 out this morning & I had heat on -now I have the ceiling fan on.

One thing I did do last night/this morning was to 'pass the buck' on planning a get-together for when dbil/dsil are here. Left it to the 2 ddils' to work out details for said get-together. Here is fine. I hate trying to coordinate things like this. We figured we could incorporate dgs12 & dsgd12's 13th birthdays into the get-together as well. Hers is 9/5 and his 9/20. Texted DDil #2 (DS-A) this morning and asked her to work it out with ddil (DS-R). He-he-he!

Isn't this 'somewhat' what MT does on her website?

Mine is pretty basic - but I can direct you to one that is a super duper one. http://www.wagonteamster.com/html/trip__4.html

Go to the very bottom of the page and you will see how they have used a google map to show his progress. Here is the direct link to the google map. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie ... e49265b8d4

This is a man who has traveled all over the country with draft horses. He is currently in OR and will be near our house around the first of the year.

Good reading for anyone with sleepless nights. He has lots of pictures of really beautiful places.

The gallon cans of paint are sorted, cleaned off and replaced. Looks pretty good. A can of tar had leaked and spread all over the shelf and the floor so I cleaned that up. The cement floor was pretty easy as it had a ton of dust and sawdust under the tar to make it easy to scrape up. The shelf wouldn't scrape as the tar had soaked into the wood. So I had an old mud flap from a truck and put that down so I could stack the cans on top of it. The tar will all be discarded as they don't use it on the roads anymore.

Now I am going to clean up and become a seamstress this afternoon.

Morning y'all...

I am sitting here in my exercise clothes waiting to go to my class. All footprints picked up, bed is stripped and sheets are in the wash. I will be stopping at WM after class. I have a few things to pick up before I head home. I have a dr's follow-up appointment for my foot later today.

I am beginning to feel the first signs of fall, even though the temps are still over 100*. The sun is positioned differently in the sky and doesn't feel as intense on my skin. Daylight is getting shorter...we don't follow the day-light savings time here in AZ...so the sun isn't out as long as the earlier part of the summer. I am like a child waiting for Christmas....Hurry, hurry, hurry cool weather so I can walk my dogs again, ride my bike and work in my yard. Summers here are like the worst parts of the country in the north during winter. I end up spending most of my time either hiding from Mother Nature or trying to figure out when is the best time to venture out during the day.

Okay....I have several big projects I want to tackle in my house. However I'm not ready to start planning for them yet. One involves putting up tile as a back splash in my kitchen. But that means spending time in large facilities where tile is sold and many of them are not air conditioned. Gonna wait awhile till it cools down. I also want to paint some of my walls and redo the mirrors in all my bathrooms. By that I mean buy trim, staining it and then framing each mirror. I can buy trim specifically made to frame my mirrors but I think it would be much cheaper to prepare them myself.

Time to run...ya'll have a great day and I'll catch up with you later............

Just got back from the doctor's visit.

The ultrasound results were in and show nothing physically wrong with my liver. So it is just fighting something. Hard.

The abnormal white blood cells spotted don't appear to be a problem. My spleen is producing WBCs fast and furiously in order to fight whatever it is I have and some are just not fully formed because it is pushing them out so quickly.

We are still waiting to find out if it is Epstein Barr virus or cytomegalovirus. Those tests take 2 weeks so I have at least another week to wait for those results.

Asked why the liver specialist hadn't called and it turns out that he has a family crisis at this time so his staff aren't booking any appointments until things settle down.

If I don't see him next week, I'll see her next Thursday night.

I'll go for more blood work this Thursday.

I'm not allowed to exercise. I finally convinced her to let me to my back physio because my hip and knee hurt so much on Sunday. I'm not to take probiotics since they are not part of my normal diet. She doesn't like the idea of asking my liver to process anything new at this point. She can't see how it could possibly be e coli (my lack of symptoms being the #1 reason.) I forgot to ask about whether mould could cause this reaction so have made a note for my next appointment.

My goal today: 2 applications and clean out my email. Yesterday was errand and cooking day. I now have green beans, bacon, cube steak, rice, lemon pasta for lunches. I also maded cinnamon rolls for dinner (I couldn't have anything hard to chew because of the dental work). Dinners are usually things like cereal or noodle soup. Tonight is Girls' Night Out which will probably be Chinese food followed by Chuck E Cheese. Very discouraged about job situation.
