Trying to figure out the rest of my day and tomorrow. I'm thinking I will work on Friday instead of tomorrow - I'm going to be out late tonight, we're having company tomorrow evening for dinner, and I want to go to temple on Friday night, so it will be good to be downtown and dressed already on Friday.

Unfortunately, that leads me right into the "I've got all day tomorrow" mentality, too. OTOH, I'll leave errands for tomorrow and try to use what's left here productively. I just emailed about getting out hot water heater looked at - it's tankless and works well for dh who uses very hot water, but apparently it doesn't like it that I want more lukewarm water. I also just printed our tickets for tonight. Will need to s2s later, after I walk ddogs and before we go out.

-Clear the kitchen table
-spend 15 minutes in master closet straightening up (Dh left a box there that is stuff for goodwill, and there's another box in the garage that is closet stuff - I'm missing a pair of pants and sweater....)
-go through what dd left in the laundry room (Goodwill, throw away, wash, put away?)
-start a lol
-Clean my rings

Great news, Elizabeth! Good luck with that interview.

I had to take a nap, did not get a lot of sleep while I was away. Then went to McD for a fish sandwich because the refrigerator is pretty empty.

Who has the BGS? Must get back to that 7x7 before it turns into 7 by midnight ...

I made apple sauce today with a few plums and peaches in for added flavor today with out sugar.
This will be great in the sweet or quick breads I make with cake mixes. I put it in 1/2 c. plastic portions and froze it worked out well with pumpkin when I did that before.

Watering was so peaceful today. I have learned an advantage of living between homes with dogs deer have not been the pests this year and have left my garden alone!

LOL, Bookie, pass that BGS along when you find it!

Progress on the closet, although I was betting/hoping I found those pants and sweater. How can one lose a bright orange/coral sweater and black pants?

-feed the ddogs
-deal with the rest of the box in the garage (Goodwill, trash, put away in closet)
-get something out of the back of my car (from stuff we brought from old house on Sunday)
-find a box for stuff to go to shred
-start loading up shred box

Nancy, I saw a deer streak through the backyard of our old house when I was up there yesterday. We don't see them that often in the summer, and we almost never saw them that close with our dogs around.

Waving to y'all

Just taking a break for the moment. Have cleaned my house to keep my mind busy. Just finished mopping my floors and I'm still in love with my spin mop.

We are going out to dinner with friends tonight and I need to jump into the shower. Going to eat at somewhere I've never been to. It's difficult to figure out what to wear. Some places keep their temps really while others don't. I always carry a sweater with me even in the 115* heat :D

Never heard of a spin mop. Did a quick google search and I think I want one too! Especially with a real-SHE endorsement (I find SHE endorsements the most reliable because y'all think like I do!)

I rested for 90 minutes but have a headache and couldn't sleep. Had the pizza for dinner and it is sitting on top of my tummy because of the headache. I have a cool pack on my neck now. Sometimes heat works (but didn't earlier) sometimes cool works, sometimes heat on my neck and cool on my forehead simultaneously. I'm also drinking lots of water to flush my system.

Tonight will not be a productive night. I think I might head back to bed now. Since I don't feel like doing anything I should probably be lying down.

Edited to add: dh took me for a stroll instead. I had to keep him from walking at our normal pace and we just walked our street (which is short, maybe 1000 ft long.) He's been anxious to for a walk with me for about a week now and figured if I could walk around the property doing yardwork, I could walk on the street.

Good evening everyone! I have finally finished cleaning the kitchen after Monday's marathon cooking session. I found out at lunch today that cube steak with gravy does not freeze and reheat well. I have more of it so I am going to try heating it in a skillet, adding water to the gravy, and keeping it in the fridge instead of freezer. If that doesn't work, I will not use this recipe again for taking in lunches! I have paid bills and subtracted out checkbook and transferred money. Now I need to balance the checkbook. I think I will call mom first and tell her I have an interview. Gosh I hope something comes of this one! I don't have a lot of leads.

Reporting in...

:(

Anyway, I am wondering, Harriet was your old dishwasher broken? I have been using mine since I can't be in too much (if any) soap and water.

Cowinkie, that is quite a thing you've got going with your toe joint. Doesn't it hurt terribly when you walk?

Elizabeth, that sounds very encouraging; I'm holding a good thought for job success!

Dr. appointment was interesting. Older lady handed me papers to fill in (a book actually) and I got to chatting with another patient waiting there...she had said something right out loud and we figured it out that we'd both gone to that one dr. who is now retired. She was able to give me report on the dr. who now has my records. Had nice conversation about old dr's skill, billing practice, etc., nothing too bad...

But when I was called to go in to exam room found that the "receptionist" was actually the dr. and was manning whole office alone and heard our whole conversation...about the other dr. Nothing too bad, but certainly funny.

I have fluid in my "girls" and in my joints from the steroid shot. She said my joints were actually more painful than the girls . I guess the heart arrhythmia is just the old flare up of the original problem I get when my body is sick or stressed over something. Some of the tiredness from the heartbeat / flutter waking me up and not sleeping too well at night.

I did several errands on the way home. I made appointment to have bone density test and mamogram in about a month (no use squeezing them while they're still sore). Presc. is waiting to pick up for other ongoing old-age thing, I'm supposed to go for cholesterol test too, but I want to monitor my diet for a while first...

I really liked this dr. She explained a few things I hadn't known before. She was patient and nice. I wonder how long before she retires?

One step forward. A little relieved to have this appointment behind me now.

Just ci:

Sooo sad tonight.

I hope you all know that I never take you for granted. You are all such a wonderful, wonderful help to me... you inspire me, you guide me and support me, you console me and comfort me, and you give me a nudge in the rear when I need it. I love you girls and I want to be sure to tell you, always.
I read somewhere, "It's not that, 'You don't know what you've got till it's gone;' the problem is, you know what you've got, you just think you'll never lose it."

Dinner w/dmil went well... dgs had a few fussy moments, but all in all, we had a great night.

School is going well.

Ddad gets results from bone marrow test tomorrow and he & dmom are very concerned... so... prayers needed there.
Tomorrow is another day.
