I went ahead and watered the front porch plants while I made the DPC. Nice to have a couple of phone calls today that aren't complaints about this or that or the other thing.

This round:
-15 minutes of car clearing out
-15 minutes of garage clean up
-reboot laundry
-clean/polish the front of the refrigerator

Woke up feeling more at peace about Indiana, knowing she is breathing easy and feeling our love.

Lilac - we're having the same day - I slept in and now am moving quickly to get my errands done, grocery shopping and library. Off to the adventures.

Hello dear SHE sisters. It was such a shock to hear that Indiana had passed away. And that reminded me of how much I have missed posting here and staying touch with everyone. My computer time is quite limited most days and it seems as though I have gotten bogged down with other things. Anyway I am slogging along - mobility impaired but I am trying to keep moving as much as possible. My son and daughter-in-law are quite insistent about that, reminding me that if I don't I may lose what mobility I have. Not a good prospect!

I am done again....progress of a sort. I now have a huge stack of Goodwill stuff and a box of shred to take, the back of my car is cleaned out. Dh also needs to transport a lawnmower which he has borrowed back to its owner this weekend, I'm not sure of all the timing and probably need his assistance to load Goodwill stuff and shred. Our garbage can is nearly full again so I took some trash to the nearest dumpster.

Going to work on DR a bit now. I'm getting to the point that I don't have a place for a lot of the stuff that's still sitting out in there. I might go ahead and hang two pictures, tho, since I know where they will go.

I am still having to show ddogs the dog door. They're happy to use it if I push it to get it started, but they don't get it that they can operate it. Learned helplessness....although they do know how to push a door a bit to get it open I guess this doesn't translate.

-15 minutes in DR
-sweep or swifter inside
-polish the front of the dishwasher
-purge refrigerator - the last of some spaghetti sauce has gone bad

Will need to s2s before I head out to temple later.

Twins, I find myself spending less and less time on Facebook these days. It seems as though nearly everyone, instead of posting their own thoughts, or something they have gleaned from a book they are reading, just shares some picture - and many of those are great, and I share them too, but too many get a bit tiresome. I do check on my kids' and grandkids' pages as that is the only way I sometimes find out what is going on with them! All but one of my six kids has a Facebook page and that one is the ds I live with.

MamaP, my twins are away at college - I can sometimes get a read on dd by checking her Facebook, but ds barely uses his. I'm glad you're be to use technology to keep up with your family, tho. Dh and I have downsized into a slightly smaller more conveniently located house with our master bedroom on the main floor and we're loving it.

DR probably looks worse but I did get some stuff off the floor and onto the table.

I mentioned a few days ago that I was craving a written to-do type planner and I ordered a "two page a day" wire bound Franklin planner - each month is bound separately so it's not too bulky. I'll still use an online calendar and I use a very old desktop app for routines but this will replace (hopefully) keeping an online to-do li&t that is too easy to ignore.

Will fiddle with the planner a bit, then get into the shower.

Hi everyone. Does anyone know what will become of Indiana's Jake?

Today I learned that my cube steak recipe does not make a good work lunch. Or maybe those particular cube steaks were just extra tough. Next I will try them in a crock pot. If that doesn't work, nothing will. I was up until 1:30 last night with a toothache, but the tooth that is giving me trouble is not the one the dentist worked on! I finally took some tylenol (why did I wait so long?) and got some sleep. I need to get some info from the files at XDH's house for info for an application. I hope he can find them. This weekend, I need to get an interview outfit. I will probably do that Sunday. Tonight is dinner and movie with friend. Tomorrow is lunch and crafts with another friend plus getting cats to and from adoption clinic. I have taken another tylenol for my tooth and done a good flossing. If it still troubles me next week, I guess it is back to the dentist. I guess that Saturday night will be a good night for checkbook balancing.

NEWS ABOUT JAKE

Our wonderful Organized Indiana even made plans for Jake. He is being boarded at the Vet. Clinic where he loves to go and when the perfect match for a new owner comes along ( in the Vet's opinion) he will go to a good home per her wishes.

I spent the afternoon in bed but the headache just got worse. I did a second load of laundry and dh put that out on the line for me so I didn't have to get up and dress just to do that.

Now that I'm up, the headache is a bit better. I had some crackers.

MamaP It is wonderful to see you! (That's the sort of conflict that a funeral visitation has - it is a sad occasion but wonderful that we see old friends.) In case you are wondering: I'm fighting some as yet undiagnosed virus that has me laid low but I'm recovering and will probably be better before I get to see a specialist!

MT, when I read that Indiana had taken care of Jakes future, it just slapped me again with the reality of our loss and Jakes. Of course, none of us would have expected anything less than for her to be prepared for any outcome.
