Thanks for the news about Jake I've been thinking about him. Neighbors dog got skunked last night. It's better but not as much fun to be outside today.

I processed some apples and plums.

I looked up about some hens on craigslist. Dd has a friend with some and another friends daughter in the area have some so I"m hoping to get a "collection" with good variety. Found a metal pet cage that folds hoping it will work for portable pens for hens in the yard instead of free range so they can work a spot in the back or front yard we will see.

I had a req. for CEO's link so I"ll put it up in card file central.

Found a message board for chicken owners! In case you miss me!

Thanks for finding out about Jake. I am not surprised Indiana had a plan for him.

I have looked up movie times for my friend and me. Looks like we will have to make the near 10 pm shows. Possibilities are: Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (most likely), Dark Knight Rises, ParaNorman, Magic Mike (least likely), and Men in Black 3. I have picked up the pictures and am heading out in about 10 minutes for dinner. Good night!

I'm so glad to hear that plans were made for Jake - I bet the right family is out there right now and just needs to stumble into the vet's office to make the connection. I so hope he will be loved and cherished after his loss of Hugh and now Indiana.

I'm eating leftover cold salmon and dh is making eggs and toast. I still need to take the ddogs out to walk.

Elizabeth, have a wonderful evening out!

Living room cleanse project is almost done. This afternoon I loaded the pickup full (couldn't see behind me because of STUFF blocking the view) and hauled it to GW. I only have one more item (hump back trunk) to clean out/organize but I ran out of time to get it done before picking LO up from school.

I'm so pleased to hear Jake future is in good hands.

Probably too late, Elizabeth but dh and I love Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. But you may be on the young side for it. Everyone in the showing (Sunday afternoon) were clones of us.

Done dinner. Headache is slightly lower now, I had ice on my jaw and that calmed things down a bit. I guess that pinpoints the cause.

It's wonderful to see you gals again. But now I am looking to close down this computer for the night. Sleep well, my friends.

Evening C.I. I started to cuop earlier this afternoon, but got interrupted a few times so I've waited till now.

Indiana has been on my mind still today also. Oh, thinking about Jake also. I'm glad he'll be going to a good home, but I'll miss hearing about him.

Earlier I read posts from yesterday evening. Lilac, your dh's garage sounds impressive. I'm sure all the menfolk in my family would be very comfortable spending time in a room like that!

Dove, I think you had a good idea to find a way to keep dIndiana's & her dh avatars somewhere as a remembrance of them both.

Kathryn, it is good to read that your blood tests are good and you are feeling better - well, I hope your headache is better, too!

OKay, your living room project is looking so good!

Dh and I went to a vitamin shoppe and target this afternoon for red yeast rice and bottled water. We weren't home very long when ds#2 stopped on his way home from work. He wanted to trim and mow lawn in front yard and mow back yard. We told him he didn't have to, we were going to do it tomorrow since we hadn't had rain for a couple of days, but he insisted. He and his family won't be able to come on Sun because dgd10 has their first Girl Scout get together, a pizza party, scheduled for 4 to 6 pm. They need to stay close to home so they can pick her up when it's over. Also talked with ds#1 and he wanted us to come to their house tomorrow for supper. He works till 5 pm, so it would be too late for them to wait and come to our house for supper. I think we'll stop on the way to pick up something for dessert.

Yes, it is nice to see you, MamaP, when you are able to come here!

I didn't get all my regular Friday routine done since we were out this afternoon, so will be finishing mopping kitchen and entries in the morning. I think I'll read for a while before turning out the lights.

Awwww!

I didn't get here in time to see mamapiano!!!

Hugs to you anyway. You will be glad to know that I was accomplishing the Evening Dailies.

Yet more school shopping has been done and I am SO tired of this. But grateful that not one but 2 pairs of jeans were found, in colors, which is what I had hoped. We bought extra at the 3-ring binder shelves because of some confusion about what teachers expect. But that's alright. Got a desk lamp. Interestingly, report covers were the item on the list we have not found anywhere. Perhaps buyers don't stock them for back-to-school but for later in the year, but that's cutting it close.

Avoided all fast food on the way home.

CI:
Week One is finished and ... whew... I am EXHAUSTED!!!
But ooohhh... this morning, when I saw those big bright eyes looking up at me out of that bassinet... ooohhh... I had a REALLY hard time tearing myself away to go to school. :D Left dgs in bed w/dh, dh giving him his morning bottle.
He only needed one feeding, around 2:00 a.m. -- otherwise slept from about 10:30 p.m. till 7:00 a.m. DH pretty much took care of the night feeding, too, but I am still very sleep-deprived...
AND... already overwhelmed w/school work. Organizing/getting started tasks are just tough for me.

Still thinking sooo much about Indiana and the huge hole she has left in our village... and so glad to hear Jake is being well cared for... (of course, like everyone else, I knew Indiana would leave no loose ends!)

And sooo glad to see MamaP coming by to spend some time with us!!! (((MamaP))) If you pop in again, you can see from the first paragraph how MY life has changed over the past year! Dgs will be 2 months old Sunday.
Tomorrow is another day.

2 months already? lucylee, it looks like you and your dh have settled right into grandparenthood.

It rained and the scrimmage was cancelled tonight.

The guy is installing the laminate wood flooring in dd2 shop this weekend. Her dh has spent a lot of time helping her this week. They had to get the new unfinished cabinets painted before the floor is installed. Her dh went back down tonight to move all the tables and chairs to the adjoining unoccupied business and to clean the floors. She had planned to do it but he would rather do it than wrangle the 4 kids.

I picked the boys up after school. They were here about 45 minutes. I really enjoyed them and they were well behaved. They are usually ornery.

Better head to bed.
