We're back home. So sorry to see that we've lost Indiana. I remember when she lost Hugh. It is good to think of them being back together. Will miss hearing about her and Jake. I know she will really be missed by her family and neighbors.

Glad to see that Kathryn's numbers are better and that Nancy is getting chickens and that back-to-school is going well for some of you. Smiling at Lucy's little grandson. Waving to MamaP (we haven't officially met, but I remember you). Hope Harmony is feeling better. That's all I can think of at the moment.

DH and I watched The Artist tonight. It was good. Really had to pay attention since there were no words.

Had a good visit with DM and DB for about 2 and a half hours. Gave her a haircut and she gave me the contents of one drawer to dispose of. Progress!

In-law visit was ok. DMIL has a hearing problem and early-stage alzheimers. DFIL is handling it well, but she can be exasperating. She still managed to ask me the usual questions like "How do you spend your time?" and "Are you going to help with the driving tomorrow?" After 33 years, I still have to justify my existence to her, it seems.

Well before I could get off the computer and head to bed, the phone rang. It was a shift supervisor from the plant and they are having an operational problem. You would be correct in assuming that dh was not a happy camper. So he is headed to work. This means rain or no rain, he will miss out on the day trip that him and some guys had planned for tomorrow. Well it actually today now.

After 28 1/2 years of dh working shiftwork, he has now been on all days for over 9 years. Now when he is gone, whether to work in the middle of the night or out of town, I just don't sleep well without him here.

I am off to give it a try................

Hi,Lilac. I fell asleep reading after about a page and awoke at 11:23 and here I still am.

Went on our excursion today and had a really good time. Ended up that dh had our car to ourselves -which really was fine. Had about 15 people. Never got here last evening -had to go to DS-R & DDIL's. Then took dgd17 home -she'd spent overnight and yesterday with dgs7.

Our dfriend whose dh was killed last July 11th just down the road from us stopped me tonight.
the man who hit him was indicted last fall for vehicular manslaughter & driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs (he was 55 btw and it was 11:15am). His trial starts Tuesday and she wanted ddil to know since she's a deputy in the court. DDIL asked that I give her ddil's phone # so she can call her on Tuesday. I'd go but will have dgs7. That and Indiana are on my mind so probably a lot of the reason I can't get back to sleep.
