Cowinkie, I'm glad you are feeling better.
I had a long long nap. Better to go nap than continue having words with DH about my choice of mops to use in the house. How lame is that? If someone around here, anyone anywhere wants to mop my floors, they may use ANY kind of system or mop their heart desires and I will just say THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
So I am changing gears and I'm working on spreadsheets that I'm so very far behind in. At least a good use of time.

Re: Birthday Triplets Tuesday
Back in bed. This has been a great day.
After my rest (I only slept a short time but was down for almost 3 hours), I got up and had supper after talking with ds. We'll meet him (and his friends) for dinner tomorrow night at 8 (!) (it is so late so Not The Girlfriend can join the group.) Dh and I will probably end up with 4 meals that day because I'm not sure we can wait until 8 to eat.
Dh had his conference call so I got the weekly kitchen chores done. I can't remember the last time I got them done on a Tueday! And lately, they'd represent the sum total of my housework for a day but I was also off volunteering today plus ran errands. I also got Sunday's 'refill vitamins' card finished, and did a couple more of my devotions (I'm only 4 days behind after getting over 2 weeks behind while I was really sick.)
Dh has a friend over now so after finishing my devotions I went back to bed and am surfing the internet. Although I'm yawning a lot now so might get ready for bed.

Re: Birthday Triplets Tuesday
Ds and I went out on a dinner date tonight. He is partially packed at this point. He is doing lots of laundry so he can pack clean clothes. Yay! Tori has been dropped off. I watched 1 episode of Emma (2009 BBC) on my amazon prime account.
Ds is making progress with his thank you cards.
B, B, and B opens at 9 a.m. tomorrow. I don't have one of their coupons, though. Darn!
We are collecting garbage and recycling right now.
Then, I might get out my cards, though they are pretty out of date. I'll need to revamp for the new year. Nothing on my plate this fall other than moms group and a some volunteering at the high school. Dfriend hasn't gotten back to me with a draft of my resume. Fortunately, the job thing is not crucial; I feel ambivalent about it, to be honest.
Off to finish getting garbage and recycling to the curb.

Re: Birthday Triplets Tuesday
Boy -- I had forgotten what it is like to spend the day away and come in on page six all the time! * sigh *
Thank you for all the birthday wishes. I've really had a good day.
Supper w/dparents, ds, ddil, and dgs. Nice gifts. Good conversation. We are all very blessed right now; ddad's health is holding steady, apparently, and dmom -- although I know she is probably very uncomfortable all the time, and in pretty severe pain a lot of the time -- at least they are both able to keep on keeping on, and I think they enjoyed dinner also.
AND, to top it off, when ddad started telling dgs good-bye when we left, dgs rewarded him with the biggest smile dh & I have ever seen on his face. I can tell he is soon going to be responding to us more and more and I am sooo looking forward to being able to really be able to play with him, you know.
Those graphic novels, etc... I know you're right, Kathryn, some of the guys especially might latch on to them... but I don't know... hmmm... and I'd probably have a tough time getting copies for everyone, anyway.
So... we'll probably stick to the workbooks we have and at least weekly current events -- found out today I can get classroom sets of local daily newspaper. I don't know if I'll get that 5 days a week or not, but at least once a week. Other than that, I think the special ed teacher across the hall has some materials that might be a little lower-level, to give them some easier activities so they (maybe) can have some easy success with this, too.
So glad to share my birthday with two wonderful friends, and to Harmony & Sher -- I hope you have a good night and that this is just the first day of a year full of happy days!

PROGRESS!
Finally managed to get my computer-gradebook set up. Had to struggle a little to remember all the places to "click" to get it all to show up like it is supposed to. When it is time to average grades, the computer system is a MIRACLE. Other times... sometimes... not so much.
