TIMER THURSDAY
One of a SHE's best friend is that trusty timer. Set yours and Ready, Set, Gooooooo!
I definitely need to set mine and get me out of this chair. I'm sleepy this morning. Had another 'medical' nightmare last night and can't seem to shake the 'feeling'.
Need to figure my 5x5 and get started doing something. I really need to strip our bed and get that made up clean. May also get dd's sheets from her bed in her MH and at least wash those & remake her bed. Then regardless if dbil/dsil stay there, the sheets will be laundered and ready for whomever.

Re: TIMER THURSDAY
I'm up early because of leg cramps again. It isn't the muscles that are cramping but the tendons. At least that's what I think it is. Those cords in my ankles. I could have played them like a guitar this morning. They go away if I stand or walk - but by then I was awake.
Today might be the last day in the sewing room. I was able to fix the daybed skirt and it is completed and on the bed. I'm now working on the bolster and the only thing that will be hard about that is getting the cover on the foam.
Then I will try to cover some pillows with the leftover material.
S2S and breakfast/meds done. So I'm off to the sewing room. If I can get done before it gets hot - all the better.

Re: TIMER THURSDAY
Good Morning!
The Timer is my friend! I also have a app that says the time out loud every 15 minutes to keep me aware of time passing. Lately I've had to step it up a bit and started using alarms set during various times of the day for activities that must be done on a timely schedule. I only set alarms for those daily activities that I can't be late starting or there will be consequences that I definitely don't want. I now have 8 alarms set (my wake up time isn't one of those). I realize this sounds like over kill to most, but I just use what ever tool helps me get things done on time.
Yesterday was busy and I didn't get a chance to post. I did stop by for a few minutes here and there and CUOP.
Closet cleanse report -
** Entry closet is completely put back together. I like opening the door to just gaze upon how good it looks now.
** LO closet cleanse is coming along. Yesterday I painted it and let it dry overnight (note to self: next time wear a covering over hair when painting above your head.
). DH is going to put electric into this closet for me so I will wait for him to finish that project before putting the items back into LO's closet.
** today starts the hallway closet.
this morning I will be going with LO class on a field trip. My time to work on closet cleanse project will be limited.

Re: TIMER THURSDAY
OKay Ds is the same with timers. Last night, one went off at 10:02. That's his time to wake up when he has an overnight shift (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.) When he's not working nights, he uses that timer as a reminder to go to bed!
I'm up but moving very slowly today. So far, I've made my tea and made my bed.

Re: TIMER THURSDAY
My bed isn't even made, Kathryn -usually the first thing I do. Just trying to decide my PODA first. Maybe I'll do sheets tomorrow -have a stint at church 6-8 tonight. Hostessing for :The Cardboard Chronicles: a series of Christian paintings on cardboard. Think I'll take my computer and try to get minutes from last council meeting typed up if we're not too busy. (Only when noone has come in). This is an event open to other churches and the public in general and I think it's running for about 3 weeks.
I have s2s, meds and am eating breakfast. No DGS7 to motivate me this morning. Think I'll ask dh what he would prefer as to 'sleeping' arrangements for his db & dsil. Ultimately it will be him paying the $100 for them to stay in that RV.

Re: TIMER THURSDAY
If I list my 5x5's here perhaps it'll motivate me to get at them!
1. Clear off, dust the coffee table & put things back
2. Clean out the tray on top of the printer
3. Dust the printer.
4. Clean microwave
5. Clear & clean hutch counter

Re: TIMER THURSDAY
Dee ~ I agree with others who have said that ILs should stay elsewhere. This is based on my experience camping with family and also sharing rooms at sewing retreats.
What if you need to get up in the night to sit in your chair and one of them is already using it? Your health depends upon you being comfortable and getting what you need. What if they are the type who insist on leaving their "stuff" in the bathroom? How will you have enough hot water for extra adults? They can stay in the other RV, clean up after themselves, and get their own breakfasts, too.
As well ... OK I'm just going to spit it out ... Since they chose dates that you said from the first are not convenient for you, you could tell them that a good friend in another state has died and you are going to the funeral. They can still come and stay in the other RV on the dates they want, and visit with your DH, but you won't be available to them.
On the other hand, you are using their impending visit to good effect with your daily 5x5s to get your home the way you want it. I know very well how tricky family dynamics can be, and sometimes it just isn't worth starting a feud.
Do what is least stressful and will keep you the healthiest.

Re: TIMER THURSDAY
I love how Booksaver is being so direct this morning. Saves me some work!
I'm still at my computer. I've had my tea. Still need to do everything else one does in a day, starting with s2s. Showers really take a lot out of me instead of reviving me so I put them off as long as I can each time they come up on the schedule.

Re: TIMER THURSDAY
Yes she is, Kathryn.
Love your thinking, Booksaver! Ultimately they may prefer staying in the MH and we'll bite the bullet and pay it. Think if dh had been working all summer and there was plenty of $$ floating around it might not be an issue. May just ask them, "What would you prefer?" Certainly would give them more room (and us!). Funny because I don't mind dd staying here at all. In fact, wishing she could fly up for a long weekend this fall -know she would love that too. Her October is full, full, full at school though -every weekend. And teachers only work 40 hours a week? Wrong -at least for a lot of them -right LucyLee & Cowinkie?
Think I have decided on the sheet brigade for tomorrow.
Most of our neighbors are gone for the weekend. That'll make for an even quieter weekend. Clambake here Sunday. For some reason they've decided for that to start much earlier in the day -1PM. Means dh can't make church since he's on duty and has to cook salt potatoes. Dcampowner used to have this clambake on Monday (Labor Day) and people kept telling him to do it on Sunday -he'd have a better turnout. Last year he tried it and guess what -they were right. Ya' think? Everyone is trying to get out of here on Monday and get dks ready for school, etc, etc, etc. I guess earlier may be better this year since it looks like Isaac may appear later in the day into Monday. Prayers go out for all those affected by his torrential rains!
Have water heating for dishes and to wash my hair. Off I go>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
