Okay, isn't that just the best feeling? Having clean and empty spaces!

Just fixed dh's breakfast -did eggs for him in the micro cooker too. He pronounced them good.

Kathryn, you said you've been doing muffins every morning -is it a batter you already have mixed up in advance? I've been looking for a 'good' diabetic muffin recipe and every 'click' on the search takes me to another list and to another list, etc, etc, etc.

helia, I am so glad that your dh and dds had a safe and wonderful trip. The girls will always remember this trip with fond memories.

Dd1 and I walked this am. Then I mowed the yard. Now I am getting ready to do my workout. It is amazing what I can do if I set my mind to something. I need to make a regular habit of that.

I have read the books just mentioned. I need to read them again sometime.

Okay, you are doing a fantastic job on reorganizing your home, doing maintenance etc.

Dee, with you doing so much work now, you will be able to relax after your company leaves. You will be way ahead on your preparation to head south again with all the cleaning and organizing that you are doing.

Hello. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Sorry about your Friend and family, Kathryn.

I have determined that I can't continue like this. I am going to force myself out of this doldrums in an effort to determine how much of this is physical and how much is mental.

I have closed out the month and submitted payroll taxes. I have emptied the shredder and have another stack to shred. BBL

Dee: I made up a refrigerator bran muffin recipe. You make up the mixture and it can sit in your fridge for up to 6 weeks. I bake 3 a day in the toaster oven, one each for dh and I with breakfast and 1 for me as a snack later in the day. Have no idea how safe they are for diabetics.

I've s2s (including shaving my legs), had breakfast, opened the basement windows to air it out some more, hung out two loads of laundry and the third is in the washer. Also did 4 days of devotions. I have 3 more to do and then am caught up at last.

Dh is practicing the hymns for church. I'm a reader so should go through my stuff and mark up my bible and hymn book. I have a great, large print, bible for reading from in church.

LO training continues.... He now has easy access to all his clothes. He has changed clothes 4 times this morning

Back from town. I loaded my little car up with GW donations until the trunk was stuffed and the seats full to the roof. There was just enough room left for LO and I to sit. I stopped by MPB to tell DH where I was headed and he suggested I take the pickup instead. Good Idea! Transferred all the STUFF to the pickup and it was much safer to haul it to GW. Meanwhile DH took the car to have brakes fixed (the brake thing-a-ma-jig has recently started squealing warning the brake pads are worn).

I have been contemplating the house I looked at yesterday. I did a little research on it last night. it was built in 1915 It is almost a hundred years old! That surprised me. It obviously has been renovated over the years, but the character of the house remains. The doors are amazing. The chandeliers. The trim work. The flooring. The craftsmanship of the multiple built in cabinets through the house. Everything is light and airy with slews of windows. Arggghhhhh..... hummmmmm.........parts of me want to pursue this home.....and parts of me are perfectly happy where I am. DH would go along with whatever house I want.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes - 33 years today - and going for more! We have a nice day planned together - art museum and lunch. Simple and easy, that's us. We got married in my parents' living room with about 20 close friends and family joining us, me in a borrowed wedding dress and DH in a corduroy suit. We picked the holiday weekend because we had hourly jobs with no time off, so we could get 3 days off, to include a 1 day honeymoon. Life is grand!

Ooh, OK, I'm bursting with curiousity! The house sounds beautiful! I like old houses; they often have a lot of character. Ours is medium old, built in the 50s but has had a fair bit of renovations done since -- well, mostly by us, I think. Lots still to do.

x a.m. routine - except for laundry, which I need to start soon
x Hank care; dh went with me so we could chat while playing with the dog
x LONG chat with dgirls re: their trip; looked at all dd16's photos. Uploaded a photo onto fb of dd16 and her new driver's license!

Next here:
-laundry; I need to get girls to empty their suitcases first
- start breadmaker; we're going to have pasta w/ tomato sauce, using tomatoes from our garden, and a salad w/ lots of tomatoes. We are currently drowning in tomatoes. I'm not sure what to do with all of them, but tonight should put a dent in the abundance. We have small roma tomatoes, sweet - like grape tomatoes. And sauce tomatoes, a little larger, not as sweet.

Congratulations sherinjoy! I posted greetings to you yesterday b/c I didn't think I'd get here today. Your day sounds perfect. WTG on 33 years. I thought you were younger than that. . . . LOL!

Helia - What a wonderful trip for your DH and the girls. (I think you said one time this is his home country?) I loved Corrie ten Boom. Many Many Many years ago she came to Seattle and my bff and I bought tickets to see her. I came down with the flu and couldn't go but she went and taped it for me. (Before they had tapes you could buy.) I loved that tape. Her voice was so sweet and her accent delightful. I kept that tape for years and then discovered when we lived in Sparks that the postmaster had a little Bible study group and I gave him that tape plus some others I had. I was happy to pass my "treasusre" around so others could enjoy her. She and her family were saints.

I have a lot to do starting today. I want all my house spic and span before we leave for AZ the end of November. I am not only decluttering - which hasn't been done for a few years - but every room cleaned from top to bottom.
Best I get busy - now!

Sherinjoy--I like your plan for the day. DH and I also hit 33 years this year. Hoping for 33 more! Watching DFIL take care of DMIL, we started to think "Is this what we have to look forward to?" All the more reason to make the most of today!

Painted the heating vent in kitchen. That has been bugging me for months. Prefer not to paint those things, but previous owner had already done so in a color that wasn't working for me.

We have a tall holly bush outside bathroom window. Going to cut it in half to about 5 feet. Will have more light in bathroom and better view. Slowly making this place ours!
