A pot of semi-homemade Chicken Corn Chowder is now simmering on the stove which I will serve with the baggettes that the DS's picked up at the store the other night. Perfect for a stormy night. 8-)

Was shocked to see that DS13 had done the dishes at some point today without prompting  (is there a fainting smilie some where?) so all I had to do was ask him to wipe the counters... I'll let him sweep tomorrow since he did it Friday night. ;) Now trying to get DS19 to flip the LOL... The 1st LOL I folded was mainly his clothes. :?

Now having a huge case of the I don't wannas... But thanks to all of you I got more done today then I have in a long time {HUGS}

Slowly waking up. Headache is still here. I may try taking something for it if it is still with me at bedtime. I hate to take anything since the doctor is so adamant about staying away from meds. Last night I thought it was allergies that brought it on because I was also congested when I woke up with it. Today, though, I'm not congested but still it comes and goes, making me miserable.

My temp is staying below 98 so far today, despite pushing myself so hard so that's a good sign.

I need to get up now and make the soup for dinner.

Scattered I was going to vote that you go do the errands since ds13 had been patient with you today and he wanted to go. But I suppose the driving is a good reason to stay put. Around here, all stores are shut tomorrow so we had no choice but to do groceries today.

As for a place to put product reviews or ask a question, I thought we had such a place but don't see it. Normally, I just ask here in PWYC since I don't venture far beyond this thread.

Hope you're soon good, better, best, Kathryn!

I 'fried' potatoes in my 'micro grill' tonight. There were left over salt potatoes from today's clam bake. Yummy! DH will love them.

Dinner is done, and it was yummy at least DS13 and I thought so... DS19 is being moody and didn't want any. Been looking over the site and posted on a few other threads.

Okay so has anyone made homemade laundry detergent liquid? I made a small batch using the Dugger Family recipe but it is way to thin for my liking. I am thinking about adding a little bit of gelatin. Any advise or incite? I like the detergent but I would like to find a way to make it thicker.

Think I am going to play a little free-cell and then try heading to bed early, I have to be at work at 7 in the morning... ugh!

scattered, dd1 has started making her own liquid laundry soap. I will ask her about it. They went to the movies or I would call her now.

Dinner is done. While I was cooking it, dh ran over to set up the internet for our friend.

She is relieved to get email (first time in weeks.) Hopefully, we can get her existing router fixed under warranty. It was 13 months old when we first called in a problem but it took us a month to convince the company it was the router and not her computer. Turns out, this form of internet is sold on a 2 year contract so she got the router for $100 plus has to pay $x per month for 24 months. Of course, the warranty on the router is 12 months so she now has to buy a new one for $200 (and extend the contract by 1 year) or cancel the contract and pay them $200 to get out of the contract. Alternatively, I may have found a used router for her but am waiting to see if a warranty swap is possible.

The chair is still here. I guess that's a tomorrow job now.

I should be watching a movie (I have 5 to watch) but I don't want to waste my 'up' time watching tv.

Headache is still here.

Dishes are cleaned up and dishwasher is running. I took the recycle to the garage but the garbage and city compost need to be taken out and then everything taken to the curb.

Ended up watching a charming show on TV about Queen Elizabeth, it was a tribute done by Prince Charles to his "Mama" as he calls her. It was just a feel good thing of him going through old family films and photos, beautiful piece showing the real side of the family up until the 60's or so.

The house is quiet, I think all the boys have headed off to bed and since it is now past 9 pm I think I will watch the news (on the DVR) and head off myself.

See ya'll in the morning... or maybe afternoon.

Well I have done absolutely nothing today except take and nap and make myself a sandwich for dinner. Too hot to eat.

We are off to bed and I'll try to get up early tomorrow. I need to update my blog (ducked out of that this morning. Have lots of pictures) and then get finish up what I need to here and get ready for the road on Tuesday.

Tomorrow is birthing day for me - DD#2 was born 41 years ago. She is a bit sad today as 6 of the 8 puppies went to their new homes. One will be donated to a guide dogs or wounder warriors charity and one is still for sale. They are both males so she really doesn't want either of them for breeding stock. She only keeps females. But it is hard to let them go.

((Kathryn)), is this headache related to your longer standing sickness? Or is it unrelated? --Or do you even know? I'm sad to see you still not feeling 100%.

I'm enjoying your lively posts, scattered. :) I've never thought of making laundry detergent. I'm just happy when the clothes are clean. LOL!

I'll have to check your blog in the next few days, MT. I always enjoy the pix!

Dh has gone in to his office for some meetings w/ students. He couldn't get to all of them yesterday. The girls are going to bed, tired from jetlag. I need to write a letter to dd16's friend for her birthday tomorrow. Her mother invited some adult friends to share words or wisdom and encouragement, which she will give to her daughter for her birthday!

I have stayed within my WW points today, which feels good mentally and physically. I've signed up for another 5K race in late October. (Dh signed up for another half marathon at the same race.) It would help my "running" (jogging is more like it - hehe!) if I lost a few pounds before then. After the busy stressful spring and first part of the summer, I have plateaued at a weight that is higher than I've been for probably 2 years. We're talking about 7-8 lbs. I won't lose all of that by then, but I can make a good dent!

I think I'll have a cup of tea while I compose my letter.
