Wrote one thing, will start the other now. But I'm only writing for 30 minutes and then heading to bed.
Phoned my sister and wished her a happy birthday. That killed over an hour and left me frustrated (she kept saying stress made me sick and I kept pointing out I lead a charmed life and have no stress, at least not the kind that makes people sick, I had a virus.)
I meant to watch a movie tonight so am now behind by one my viewing (they are due on Thursday.)

Re: Labor Monday
Good Evening everyone, thanks so much for all the welcomes and shout-outs. I was talking with my BFF today whom as many of you will understand I have only met once IRL. She and I met through the previous sites where I used to be a member. We've been BFF's now for over 6 yrs. I was telling her about the Village and will be sending her a link.
Feeling a little more human... only run over by a regular steamroller rather than one of those huge earth moving steamrollers.
To explain the homicidal fantasies earlier, the boys met me at the hair salon and we went to WM to pick up the shoes and specialized insoles. While there even though I had expressed to both boys that I was EXTREMELY tired and had a bad day at work, they kept acting like fools. I have never tolerated bad behavior in public, I was one of those DMom's that would calmly walk out of a store in the middle of a trip because a DS was throwing a tantrum. Why they thought that I would put up with it now at their ages and with my nerves being so frazzled I have no idea.
ERGH!!!
With all that and my level of exhaustion I cancelled the rest of the trip. I don't buy groceries from WM especially not meats so I will still have to go the store sometime later this week.
Sending Hugs out to those who need it and high fives to all the others.
DS13 went off to bed an hour ago.
DS19 is watching something on Youtube and giggling.
I'm sitting here waiting for the Aleve to kick in before I head back to bed. I don't have to be in until 11am so hopefully I can get something done in the morning.
Goodnight everyone.

Re: Labor Monday
aaaugugugugugugughhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
I think I am already so far behind with... EVERYTHING... LIFE... EVERYTHING... that I will NEVER catch up!!!
Good grief. Three weeks into the school year and here I am... house is covered in dust... bathrooms are embarrassing... papers need grading... dishes need washing... I never have time to exercise... or paint my nails... or keep up with you girls... or ANYTHING... it's just three weeks into the school year and I'm already a wreck! What am I going to DO???
Deep breath.
One thing at a time.
I know... it's not rocket science... just do one thing at a time and don't forget to SLEEP, right?
I also know I waste too much time on the computer -- when I'm home, that is -- and I REALLY need to discipline myself a little better on that point.
Today we went to local political rally/picnic/music thing. Weather was kinda a downer but we were under a covered pavillion, so stayed dry during sprinkles and the clouds kept everything pretty cool. Went to Wmart, came home, took a nap... oh -- and visited w/dgs for a little while!
Dee -- you asked how old he is -- well, he was two months old last Sunday... and today we saw his new trick: he has learned to stick out his tongue, and when I did it back to him, he just laughed and smiled. That was fun. No panic over undone tasks when a sweet grandbaby is laughing at you, that's for sure!
He may spend a few hours with us tomorrow night while ds & ddil go out to a movie... then for the rest of the week, they will be visiting his maternal grandparents & other relatives while ds is at a festival near them.
All right... I've got to get busy. I've got to --
[ ] print out my weekly routine sheet
[ ] s/s the kitchen & baths
[ ] exercise
[ ] do some school work
[ ] do my bedtime routine
Five x midnight? Let's see if I can do it all a little bit faster than that!

Re: Labor Monday
Dh came home around 5. He had the shelves moved to the middle of the floor and everything on them stacked so he could paint behind them. Last night he left his classic pickup outside, so he came home to put everything back where it belonged so he could garage his pickup. Then he went back to work. He came home about 9 and is now relaxing in his garage. His dad bought this pickup new, 41 years ago just weeks before dd1 was born. It is a 71 GMC. We bought it from his dad almost 15 years ago and dh restored it. We paid his dad what he paid for it new, so that no one could argue about it at a later date. It is a seafoam green and the roof is white. When we had our house for sale, he had the pickup on the lift and everyone that looked at the house always complimented him on it. Anyway, I think this pickup will stay in the family for years to come. Dd2 dh has already told her that if we ever decide to sell it for whatever reason, he will buy it for her. Every time she sees the pickup, she says it makes her happy.
Tomorrow I need to go to the health dept. and get a DTAP(diptheria, tetanus and pertussis) shot. There is a teacher at the college who has whooping cough and his wife is a teacher at the high school. You can imagine the health crisis this has created for the school system and health dept. This just came up Friday and hasn't made the paper yet. With my diabetes dd1 wants me to get this. I told her that my dm had mentioned this months ago and I didn't do it. This is what happens when you don't listen to your mama.
Dd2 and her family started painting samples last night. She said that they let the 2 little girls paint and they were really getting into it. She was just letting them paint on tiles. Her studio is really coming together. She was hoping to be open by mid September but I imagine it will be late September. She has experienced a jealous sister-in-law and now, a jealous friend over her opening a business. I don't know why people have to be that way.
Better head to bed................

Re: Labor Monday
Been laboring all weekend on the hen pen and it's still not done had to go get a doz. more 2" x 4"s h. finally agreed his plan is over kill. I'm SO ready to be done with building this!
Did a store run food is put away.
I was gardening and redid a planter h. put the dirt around the patio Got had to get a doz. more 2'x4's today. Hen pen is still not done. We have a couple walls ready for the netting aka chicken wire. Doors still to make and two more nest boxes. [I'm having 2nd thoughts as in what was I thinking wanting chickens for my bday!] I thought we could have a chicken coop raising party well that did not happen.
I think I did not get enough water today.
Store run is done food is put away now.
Watered the back yard and garden areas next to the fence. Around the patio want to get this going! ng seed n feed gr-r I want to get this going! ng seed n feed gr-r I want to get this going! he wants to seed n feed in two weeks -r I want to get it going! I can have it up in two weeks!
One good thing about working outside all weekend on the hen pen I'm more than ready to do some inside stuff now!
dd fam. cannot come to the bday dinner they made plans to go camping in that time slot. We've decided not to wait on them or we would never have it. H. is miffed about his bday in March they did the same ole' same ole' stuff sigh. Dson was out of sorts as well. It's like something in the air or weather not sure what???
On the bright side we sure are enjoying the patio when we need a rest break!

Re: Labor Monday
ci:
[x] print out my weekly routine sheet
[x] s/s the kitchen & baths
[x] exercise (15 min. -- very mild, self-styled version -- walk away the pounds)
[x] do some school work (30 min. grading/recording grades)
[/] do my bedtime routine (everything except brushing teeth & nightly Bible reading)
Five x midnight? Let's see if I can do it all a little bit faster than that!
I think I can get teeth brushed by midnight! * IF I sign off here quickly! *
At least the kitchen & bathrooms are a little fresher, and I feel that I'm getting a handle on schoolwork, AND I'm glad I exercised, even if it was just a little bit of exercise.
I also got my lunch stuff ready to pack in the morning, laid out clothes for tomorrow, straightened bed (b/c we left it in a big mess this morning) and checked my cards for tomorrow.
I have a list of several errands to run tomorrow after school and the faculty meeting that promises to be rather lengthy... but I feel a little less like screaming.
I also washed two loads of clothes tonight after supper... so it's not like I'm just staring into space & twiddling my thumbs. I'm just kinda overwhelmed.
(((Nancy & dh))) re: bday plans falling through... you know I've btdt... * sigh *
Nice to have the pick-up restored and kept in the family, Lilac! I definitely understand that, w/ddad & my duncle being such car-fanatics. My dcousin has my late dgdad's truck, also.
(((scattered))) (I have to admit the description of homicidal tendencies @ the hair salon made me LOL a little!)
(((Kathryn))) for your stress-free life!
LOVED the puppy pictures, MT!!!
Gotta run -- dh wants computer!
