Just remembered I have to take a receipt back to town for dh today. He inadvertently picked up the signed copy of our Amex receipt and they need that back. At least it's only about 5 miles into town and I have to go almost that far to check our mailbox. Don't have all that much mail these days anyway. Do a lot on the c omp uter.

Well, it's that time again, have to fill my coffee cups, fold the lol, put the lol in the dryer and head out.

Transferred money between savings and checking for both DS19 and myself. He has to go to court this afternoon for his first speeding ticket.

To Do list;
:D Coffee
:evil: Reboot Laundry (2)washer (2)dryer (1)folded {need to get DS's to put theirs away, especially since most of it is theirs}
:D Update Outlook Calendar with School deadlines
:) Schoolwork (In process)
:D Get Dressed and ready
 Work (11-7)

Have a great day everyone, ci later.

Oh this is a day. First my vacuum died. Not sure if it is dead dead or just too hot to work dead. Then while I was using the broom to finish the carpet - DH came in with a boo boo on his head - he had run into an open hatch door while dumping our tanks. Then as I got him setting on the chair with ice on his head - tummy trouble struck. Lucky we have a bath house near us so I didn't have to use the drained tanks.

Now boo boo is bandaged, floor has been finished and I'm off to the rest of the "getting ready to travel" mode.

On top of all that - it is 79 outside and 85 inside and the humidity is about 99%. Can't wait to get on the road and have the AC on.

WOW! Lots of activity here today. POTB!

I'm taking a break with a tall glass of ice water. Ceiling is 3/4 finished. While painting I ried to think of any painter I know that is over weight. Couldn't think of a single one. They are all skinny as rails. I know why! Painting is good exercise.

Lucylee ~ Good for you, girlfriend, making sure to fit in a walk last night. 15 minutes is a really big deal when so much else is going on. And with the frustrations -- you can stand it because this is the last year! You're closer to being ready to retire. :)

(((Emptynester)))

Today's 4x4 =

1) I never did get to the mail the other day. Does anyone remember that old Steve McQueen movie The Blob? That's our mail taking over the kitchen counter.

2) Also, tonight is sewing group members meeting. I need to make sure my notebook up-to-date, and print out the agenda. My outfit is all ready to go, but I'll change into it at last minute because it's a skirt & heels.

3) Will try to declutter a bit to see if I have anything that can be donated to the sewing group's freebie table.

4) Sewing project described in AC&N.

Proud of myself, MT. I managed to clean the screens on the fantastic fans with my telescoping duster. I figured the dust/dirt was on the other side of the screen. It looks about 98% better. Not going to mention to dh and see how long it takes him to notice. Note to self: It is now 10:30a.m. on September 4th. :D

Just have to damp mop a few places and I'm done for a few. Plan to do a LOL after I'm finished logging things for dh. He has about 20 sites to go, so hopefully we'll be done by 11:30. I'm sure he's chit-chatting right now. :?

Got lots of breeze today from remnants of Isaac, but most of the rain is pretty well covering the lake. Mostly it seems to go northeast, just brushing us. So far anyway. We really could use some rain however. Keep peeking at the weather on my Iphone to see if Kathryn is/will getting it. Looks like biggest part is heading up St. Lawrence. Soon it'll be "outta here". My dneighbor would really be enjoying my Corinthian chimes today! They're beautiful & non-stop!

oooo! MT for both of you!

Good Morning Dear Ladies,

Another HOT triple digit day in store for us.

DH and Dsons are out on a service call.

I'm taking a break and sitting at the computer for a few minutes. My blood pressure is low and I didn't want to keep standing. :o

Got to tackle the dishes when I get back up. Want to do bathrooms and floors today. Going to be sure and get plenty of breaks in. Yesterday I worked so much, I was sore and exhausted. Don't want to get to that point again today.

Have a wonderful day! :D

Good morning all! I've been on track today. I got up a little early this morning to make scrambled eggs to go with leftover (warmed up) pancakes dd14 made yesterday for the girls for their first day of school!! They didn't eat much. Typical for them. Dh and I drove them to school. Traffic was insane; I think everyone was driving their kids the first day! We'll get them on their bikes/get dd16 driving tomorrow, depending on the weather. Then, dh and I went for a jog. Dh ran long today, 8 miles, so I brought my devo. materials and had some time in the car waiting for him. I only ran 35 minutes. It took dh a little over an hour. When we came home, we finished off the pancakes and eggs. I was virtuous and only ate 3.5 points worth.

We had a lovely steady 2 hour rain this morning. We really needed it! It rained after dh and I were home, but we both noticed how humid it was while we were jogging. It wasn't hot, but the humidity made the last bit more arduous. . .

Since then, I have:
x finished a.m. routine - except for my teeth care, for some odd reason
x washed down the stove top
x made a menu plan for the week
x sent an email asking for names of child care workers for moms group; I got a very kind negative to my request sent yesterday.

Dh is going in to his office soon; he has been working at home this a.m.

I'm off to eat lunch and compose a groc. list.

(((Nancy))) Ouch, ouch. Oh, it can be upsetting when a church or other big group makes a big deal of birthdays because forgetting someone is just a GIVEN, isn't it? Definitely going to happen, the only mystery is when. Ours has the bdays up on the projector screen during pre-service time and that's nice, but bless the lady's heart (and I mean that sincerely) she gets lots of them wrong. Wrong day, or name is wrong, or the husband is up there when it was really the wife's bday, things like that.

As far as we here are concerned, I love our concept of The Most Important Person probably being the one we haven't mentioned recently, so whoever she is this week, I hope she knows her great importance! :D

Best wishes to helia's daughters for the first day of school.
